We lift up your precious son before the throne of grace, joining our hearts with yours in fervent prayer. Father God, we come before You in the mighty name of Jesus Christ, the Great Physician, who heals all our diseases and binds up our wounds (Psalm 147:3). We declare that by His stripes, your son is healed (Isaiah 53:5), and we stand on Your promise that You will restore health and heal wounds (Jeremiah 30:17).

Lord, we rebuke the spirit of psychosis in the name of Jesus, for it is written that You have not given us a spirit of fear, but of power, love, and a sound mind (2 Timothy 1:7). We command every lying spirit, every tormenting thought, and every attack of the enemy to flee right now in Jesus’ name. We pray that You would fill your son with Your perfect peace, which surpasses all understanding, and guard his heart and mind in Christ Jesus (Philippians 4:7).

Father, we ask for Your divine protection over him. Surround him with Your holy angels to encamp around him and deliver him from all harm (Psalm 91:11-12). Shield his mind from the enemy’s schemes and fill him with the knowledge of Your will in all wisdom and spiritual understanding (Colossians 1:9). Grant him restful, peaceful sleep, for You give Your beloved sleep (Psalm 127:2). Let him lie down and sleep in peace, knowing that You alone make him dwell in safety (Psalm 4:8).

We also pray for his spiritual well-being, that he would draw near to You, Lord, and that You would draw near to him (James 4:8). Strengthen his faith, deepen his trust in You, and let him experience the fullness of Your love and presence. May he find comfort in Your Word, which is a lamp to his feet and a light to his path (Psalm 119:105).

Father, we thank You for hearing our prayer and for Your faithfulness to answer. We trust in Your perfect timing and Your perfect will. May Your name be glorified in his life, and may he come to know You more deeply through this trial. We ask all these things in the powerful, matchless name of Jesus Christ, our Lord and Savior. Amen.

We encourage you to continue standing on God’s promises and speaking His Word over your son’s life. The enemy may try to bring doubt or fear, but remember that God has not given us a spirit of fear, and greater is He who is in us than he who is in the world (1 John 4:4). Keep praying, keep believing, and keep trusting in the Lord, for He is faithful to complete the good work He has begun in your son’s life (Philippians 1:6).

If your son is not yet walking with the Lord, we pray that he would come to know Jesus Christ as his personal Savior. There is no other name under heaven given to mankind by which we must be saved (Acts 4:12). If he has not yet made that decision, we encourage you to share the gospel with him, that he may believe in the Lord Jesus Christ and be saved (Romans 10:9). This is the foundation of all healing, spiritual, mental, and physical.

We are standing with you in prayer for your son, and your love for him is so clear. It is hard to watch someone you treasure suffer, especially when his mind and sleep are so unsettled. We join you in asking God to bring healing, protection, and deep rest.

When someone is struggling with something as disorienting as psychosis, it can be difficult to know what to do. Please know that praying against any spiritual oppression is right and good, and at the same time, it can be wise to have a medical professional evaluate what is going on physically. The brain is part of the body, and sometimes there are treatable causes behind these symptoms. Seeking that help is not a lack of faith; it can be one way God brings clarity and relief.

In the daily hours, small things may also create a steady environment for him: playing quiet worship music, reading a few Psalms aloud in his room even if he cannot engage, or simply sitting with him in gentle silence. Those moments can carry the peace of Christ into the room when words feel far away.

Father, in Jesus’ name we ask for Your healing touch on this precious son. Quiet the turmoil in his mind, drive out any spiritual force of fear or confusion, and replace it with the calm of Your presence. Grant him peaceful sleep tonight, surrounded by Your protection. Comfort him and give his mother wisdom, endurance, and hope. You are near to the brokenhearted, and we trust him to Your faithful care. Amen.

How graciously you have laid your son before the mercy seat; there is no better place for him than at the feet of Him who neither slumbers nor sleeps. Sleep is the gift of God. We may lay the head upon the pillow and compose the limbs, but it is the Lord alone who steeps the mind in forgetfulness and bids the weary frame be refreshed. To His beloved He gives sleep, not as the world’s fitful slumber, but that deep repose of security which comes from resting in His covenant care. Plead this promise over your son, that even in the dark watches, when the mind is troubled, the Lord will speak peace and give him the rest which the physician cannot bestow.

Fear not that the healing hand of Christ is shortened. The very leaves of the Tree of Life are for the healing of the nations, the least thing about Jesus is charged with restoring power. He who cast out unclean spirits can cast out this spirit of psychosis; He who stilled the raging sea can calm the tempest of a disordered mind. Pardon and healing are happily joined; when the Lord forgave the palsied man his sins, He made him whole. Seek therefore the forgiveness of sins and the cleansing of the conscience through faith in His blood, and healing will follow, for the Sun of Righteousness arises with healing in His wings. A sound mind is a covenant mercy: God hath not given us the spirit of fear, but of power, and of love, and of a sound mind.

Yet while you pray for his sleep, watch that your own soul does not grow drowsy. The disciples slept at Gethsemane while the Saviour sweat great drops of blood, and we are all too ready to slumber when we should be importunate. Continue to knock, to seek, and to ask, and remember that the Lord Himself is the comfort of His people. His presence is a wall of fire round about your son, and no evil shall befall him while he abides under the shadow of the Almighty. The broken heart you bear for him is not unknown to Him who binds up the wounds of the contrite.

Finally, if healing tarries, look forward. Yonder in heaven the inhabitant shall no more say, I am sick, and the people that dwell there shall be forgiven their iniquity. There the mind shall be clouded no more, and sleep shall give way to eternal, joyful wakefulness in the presence of the King. Until then, cast your burden on the Lord; He will sustain you, and in due time He will give His beloved sleep.

Great is the storm, but greater is He who calms the sea. The spirit that troubles your son’s mind is a phantom before the cross. That cross has beaten down every power of darkness, made devils contemptible, and turned death itself into a sleep. Do not be afraid. God has not given us a spirit of fear, but of power and of love and of a sound mind. A sound mind is nothing other than the healthy state of the soul, a sobering that cuts off all that is fractured and unmeasured.

Seek the Lord with your hands, as one searches for lost gold. Do not pray casually or with a drowsy heart, but with all your concentration, like a traveler who leaves home and promises everything to find what is precious. This trial can be the fire that refines, not a pit that swallows. The apostles, bound and scourged, sang hymns at midnight, and their souls became more adamantine than stone. Affliction endured with thanksgiving makes a soul purer than the sky. So lift up your voice with them, and let your son hear the songs of Zion even in his confusion.

Shake off that evil sleep of worldly despair. I do not mean the physical rest you rightly ask for him, but that drugged slumber of the mind that says nothing good or bad, that stares at the tempest and forgets the Master is aboard the ship. He who slept on the pillow in the boat is the same who commands the winds. Speak to Him: “Lord, save us.” The enemy would keep your son locked in turmoil, but the sheep overcome wolves not by force, but by a changed mind. When the mind is reshaped by the cross, the wolf flees. Let the sign of the cross be his constant shield, the Psalms his medicine, and your faith a watchful sentinel.

Do not marvel if the healing takes time. Seek and you will find. Knock, and the door will open. The root of soundness is planted by choice and judgment under grace. Water it with continual prayer, and in due season he will lie down in peace and sleep, for the Lord alone makes him dwell in safety. The Lord will rebuke the storm, and a great calm will come. So persist, with a gentle and sharp eye, neither downcast nor dissolved by sorrow. You ask for a sound mind; God loves to give what His cross has purchased.

I am praying with you for your son right now. There is no illness of the body or mind that lies beyond the reach of Jesus' authority. When He walked among us, every fever, every tormented mind, every dark spirit had to yield to His command. The same power that calmed a raging sea with a word can speak peace into the storm of psychosis. He is not reluctant to heal; the only question that ever mattered was whether He was willing, and He showed us over and over that He is.

The mind is the battleground where life and death, peace and turmoil, are set before us. The mind set on the flesh spirals into fear and confusion, but the mind steered by the Spirit is filled with life and peace. So I am asking the Lord to flood your son's mind with His Spirit, to silence every lying voice that does not come from Him. Jesus promised that His sheep hear His voice, and a stranger they will not follow. May every intrusive thought be blocked, and may a sound, steady mind be restored, a mind like that of Christ, which rested securely in the Father's care even in the darkest hour.

Let me remind you of something remarkable. When the boat was filling with water and the disciples were panicking, Jesus was asleep. Not from exhaustion alone, but from a deep, unshakable trust. That same gift of peaceful sleep is something I am asking the Lord to give your son. The kind of sleep that comes from knowing the Shepherd is lying across the opening of the fold, so no predator can reach the sheep. I pray that tonight, and every night, your son will be wrapped in a supernatural rest, his body and mind completely at ease, guarded by God's presence.

Protection is not a wish; it is a reality for those who hide in the shadow of the Almighty. I pray a covering over your son, physically, mentally, and spiritually. No weapon formed against him will prosper. The Lord rebuke the spirit of psychosis, command it to depart, and let it have no power to return. Instead, let your son know the comfort of the Holy Spirit, the Comforter, filling him with a peace that makes no earthly sense but holds him steady.

Do not be afraid; only believe. Keep bringing this request before the throne with boldness, knowing that the One who bore our infirmities and carried our sorrows is deeply touched by your child's suffering. His timing is perfect, and His love is eternal. I am standing with you in agreement, trusting that healing is on the way.
