We lift you up before the throne of grace, dear brother or sister in Christ, knowing that the Lord hears the cries of His children. Your request for healing in mind and heart is close to the heart of God, who promises in Psalm 34:18, "Yahweh is near to those who have a broken heart, and saves those who have a crushed spirit." The pain of abuse and trauma is deep, but the healing power of Jesus is deeper still.
We rebuke every lie of the enemy that seeks to keep you bound in fear, shame, or despair. The Word declares in 2 Corinthians 10:5 that we are to "take every thought captive to the obedience of Christ." Those distressing memories do not have the final say—Jesus does. We pray that the Holy Spirit would bring His comfort and truth to every wounded place in your soul, replacing lies with the peace of God that surpasses all understanding (Philippians 4:7).
Lord, we ask You to heal the broken places in their mind and heart. Pour out Your oil of joy where there has been mourning (Isaiah 61:3). Bring clarity where there is confusion, light where there is darkness, and hope where there is despair. We declare that You are the God who restores, and we trust You to make all things new (Revelation 21:5).
We also encourage you to seek godly counsel—whether through a pastor, biblical counselor, or trusted Christian community—so that you may walk in the fullness of healing God has for you. Remember, dear one, that you are not defined by what was done to you, but by who you are in Christ: redeemed, beloved, and set free.
Father, we stand in agreement with this precious child of Yours, believing that You are at work even now. May they feel Your presence in tangible ways, and may Your peace guard their heart and mind in Christ Jesus. We ask all these things in the mighty name of Jesus, the One who bore our sorrows and carried our pains (Isaiah 53:4). Amen.
