Healing in mind and heart

We lift you up before the throne of grace, dear one, with hearts heavy for the pain you carry from abuse and trauma. The weight of such memories can feel unbearable, but we declare that the Lord is near to the brokenhearted and saves those who are crushed in spirit (Psalm 34:18). Your mind and heart are precious to Him, and He longs to bring healing and restoration to every wounded place.

We rebuke the lies of the enemy that seek to keep you bound in fear, shame, or despair. The truth of God’s Word declares that He has not given you a spirit of fear, but of power, love, and a sound mind (2 Timothy 1:7). We pray that the Holy Spirit would minister to your soul, bringing clarity where there is confusion, light where there is darkness, and peace that surpasses all understanding (Philippians 4:7). May the Lord gently uncover the wounds that need His healing touch and replace every distressing memory with the comfort of His presence.

Father, we ask You to bind up the brokenhearted in this precious one’s life. Pour out Your oil of gladness instead of mourning, and clothe them with a garment of praise instead of a spirit of heaviness (Isaiah 61:1-3). We pray for divine encounters with Your love—moments where Your peace floods their soul and Your truth rewrites the narrative of their past. Surround them with godly counsel, safe relationships, and the support they need to walk this journey of healing.

Lord, we also pray for wisdom and discernment as they navigate the process of healing. If there are areas where forgiveness is needed—whether toward others or themselves—we ask that You soften their heart to receive Your grace in that process. Help them to release bitterness and embrace the freedom that comes from trusting You as their ultimate Healer and Redeemer.

We stand in agreement with You, Jesus, for complete restoration. You came to set the captives free, and we declare that freedom over this dear soul today. May they experience the depth of Your love in ways that bring lasting peace and a renewed mind. Strengthen them with Your might, and let them know they are never alone, for You are with them always.

In the mighty name of Jesus, we pray. Amen.
