We join you in lifting your son before the Lord, asking for his lungs to be strengthened and for every breath to come more easily. It's so hard to watch someone you love struggle, especially when the heat makes the air feel heavy and unforgiving. We hear the love and ache in your words, and we're praying with you.
As you care for him, we gently encourage you to keep close contact with his doctors, especially when the weather turns extreme. They can help adjust his daily routine so he's as comfortable and protected as possible. While we pray for God's healing touch, we also ask for wisdom for everyone on his medical team.
Sometimes the burden of chronic illness can wear on the heart as well as the body. We pray that in the difficult moments, your son would sense God's nearness, not as a distant hope, but as a steady, quiet presence right beside him. And we ask that you, too, would be filled with peace, knowing you are not carrying this alone.
Father, we ask for this son. Cool the inflammation in his airways, guard him from infection, and let his breathing become deep and effortless. Surround him with your mercy in this heat, and strengthen his body to resist whatever seeks to harm it. Grant him good sleep, renewed energy, and the simple joy of breathing freely.
