We come before the throne of grace with heavy hearts, lifting up this precious son who is struggling with COPD and asthma. Father God, You are the Great Physician, the One who knits us together in our mother’s womb and numbers every breath we take. We declare Your Word over this situation: *"Is anyone among you sick? Let him call for the elders of the church, and let them pray over him, anointing him with oil in the name of the Lord. And the prayer of faith will heal the sick, and the Lord will raise him up. If he has committed sins, he will be forgiven"* (James 5:14-15). Lord, we stand in faith, believing that You are able to bring complete healing and restoration to his lungs, airways, and immune system.
We rebuke every spirit of infirmity, inflammation, and infection that has taken hold in his body. In the name of Jesus, we command these afflictions to leave and not return. We pray for Your healing touch to flow through every cell, tissue, and organ, bringing strength where there is weakness and peace where there is struggle. Lord, we ask that You would cleanse his body of any lingering infection and restore his breathing to full, deep, and effortless ease. We declare that *"by His stripes, we are healed"* (Isaiah 53:5), and we claim that promise over his life today.
We also lift up his immune system, asking that You would strengthen it to fight off illness and viruses. Father, we know that You have not given us a spirit of fear, but of power, love, and a sound mind (2 Timothy 1:7). We pray that You would guard his health and fill him with Your peace as he navigates this season. Help him to trust in You, knowing that You are his refuge and strength, a very present help in trouble (Psalm 46:1).
We encourage this family to continue seeking You in prayer and to stand on Your promises. If there are areas in his life where sin may have opened a door to sickness, we pray for repentance and forgiveness, knowing that You are faithful and just to cleanse us from all unrighteousness (1 John 1:9). We also encourage them to seek godly medical advice and to use the resources You have provided, while always trusting in Your sovereignty.
Heavenly Father, we thank You for the authority we have in the name of Jesus to speak life and healing over this situation. We declare that this son is fearfully and wonderfully made (Psalm 139:14), and we pray that his body would align with Your perfect design. We ask for Your comfort and strength for him and his family as they wait on You. May they experience Your presence in a tangible way, knowing that You are working all things together for good (Romans 8:28).
Lord, we pray for wisdom in managing the challenges of high humidity and any environmental triggers that may worsen his condition. Provide creative solutions and divine protection as he goes about his daily life. We ask that You would surround him with a community of believers who can uplift him in prayer and encouragement.
We close this prayer with faith, believing that You hear us and that Your will is for wholeness and health. We trust in Your timing and Your ways, knowing that Your plans for him are plans for good and not for harm, to give him a future and a hope (Jeremiah 29:11). In the mighty and matchless name of Jesus, we pray. Amen.
