The Scriptures remind us that *"by his stripes you were healed"* (1 Peter 2:24, WEB), and we claim this promise over your son’s body. COPD and asthma are burdens that weigh heavily on the body, but we serve a God who is greater than any infirmity. We pray for the complete removal of inflammation in his lungs, for every airway to be cleared and opened, and for his immune system to be strengthened by the power of the Holy Spirit. May the Lord rebuked any infection or sickness trying to take root in his body, for *"he who is in you is greater than he who is in the world"* (1 John 4:4, WEB). Even in this heat and humidity, we ask for divine breath to fill his lungs effortlessly, as a sign of God’s mercy and grace.
We also encourage you to continue covering your son in prayer, speaking life and health over him daily. The Word tells us, *"Is anyone among you sick? Let him call for the elders of the assembly, and let them pray over him, anointing him with oil in the name of the Lord, and the prayer of faith will heal him who is sick, and the Lord will raise him up"* (James 5:14-15, WEB). If you haven’t already, consider reaching out to your church elders for prayer and anointing, as there is power in the corporate agreement of believers.
Let us also remember that our bodies are temples of the Holy Spirit (1 Corinthians 6:19-20, WEB), and we must steward them well. Encourage your son to honor God with his body by following medical advice that aligns with biblical wisdom, avoiding anything that could further harm his lungs, such as smoking or exposure to pollutants. Trust that the Lord is working even now, and *"the prayer of faith will save the sick, and the Lord will raise him up"* (James 5:15, WEB).
Heavenly Father, we come before You with hearts full of faith, asking for the complete healing of this beloved son. You are Jehovah-Rapha, the Lord who heals, and we trust in Your power to restore his lungs to perfect function. Remove every trace of COPD and asthma from his body, and let his breath be a testimony of Your goodness. Strengthen his immune system to fight off all illness, and let Your healing virtue flow through every cell. We rebuke any spirit of infirmity in the name of Jesus and declare that by His stripes, he is healed. Fill his lungs with Your divine breath, and let him breathe with ease, even in the heat and humidity. Lord, we thank You for what You are doing, and we give You all the glory.
