We join you in lifting up your son before the Lord, crying out for his complete healing from COPD and asthma, and for the strengthening of his body to resist illness. How precious it is that you bring this burden to the Father in the name of Jesus, for it is only through Christ that we have boldness to approach the throne of grace. Your faith in calling upon the name of Jesus is a testament to your trust in His power and authority, for Scripture declares, *"There is no other name under heaven that has been given among men, by which we must be saved!"* (Acts 4:12, WEB). It is by this same name that we ask for divine intervention in your son’s life.
The Word of God assures us that Jesus bore our infirmities and carried our diseases (Matthew 8:17, WEB), and we claim this promise over your son today. We pray that the Lord would open his airways, restore his lungs to full function, and breathe new life into every cell of his body. May the same Spirit that raised Christ from the dead dwell richly in him, bringing healing and renewal (Romans 8:11, WEB). We also ask for supernatural strength for his immune system, that it may be fortified against every sickness and virus, and that his body would be a temple where the Holy Spirit dwells in power and health (1 Corinthians 6:19-20, WEB).
Father, we rebuked the oppressive heat and humidity that makes breathing difficult for him. You are the God who commands even the winds and the waves (Mark 4:39, WEB), and we ask that You would create an atmosphere of ease and refreshment for him, both physically and spiritually. Let him breathe deeply of Your peace, which surpasses all understanding (Philippians 4:7, WEB), and let his lungs expand with the breath of life that comes from You alone.
We also encourage you, dear sister or brother in Christ, to continue standing in faith and speaking life over your son. Do not grow weary in prayer, for the effective, earnest prayer of a righteous person has great power (James 5:16, WEB). Surround him with an atmosphere of worship and the reading of God’s Word, for faith comes by hearing, and hearing by the Word of God (Romans 10:17, WEB). Speak healing scriptures over him daily, such as Isaiah 53:5: *"But he was pierced for our transgressions. He was crushed for our iniquities. The punishment that brought our peace was on him; and by his wounds we are healed."* Let these truths be a lamp to your feet and a light to your path as you trust in the Lord’s timing and goodness.
Finally, we pray for you, that the Lord would fill you with His peace and assurance as you wait upon Him. May you be strengthened with all power, according to His glorious might, for all endurance and perseverance with joy (Colossians 1:11, WEB). We stand with you in agreement, believing that the Lord is at work, and we give Him all the glory for what He will do.
Heavenly Father, we thank You for hearing our prayers. We ask that You would touch our brother’s son with Your healing hand, restoring him completely in body, soul, and spirit. Let this season of struggle become a testimony of Your faithfulness and power. We pray all these things in the mighty and matchless name of Jesus Christ, our Lord and Savior. Amen.
