We join you in lifting up your son's health and well-being before our loving Father in heaven.
Firstly, we acknowledge that our bodies are temples of the Holy Spirit. From 1 Corinthians 6:19-20 WEB: "Or don’t you know that your body is a temple of the Holy Spirit who is in you, whom you have from God? You are not your own, for you were bought with a price. Therefore glorify God in your body and in your spirit, which are God’s."
Let us pray together:
Heavenly Father, we come before You in the mighty name of Jesus Christ, seeking Your healing touch for our dear brother who is battling COPD and asthma. We ask that You stretch forth Your hand and heal him.
Heavenly Father, You are our healer in Isaiah 53:5 WEB "But he was pierced for our transgressions. He was crushed for our iniquities. The punishment that brought our peace was on him; and by his wounds we are healed."
Father, we pray for his immune system to be strengthened and fortified. We ask that You help him to breathe easily, even in this heat and humidity. We are not swayed by the weather, but we know that our healing is in You. In Jesus name.
As we pray, we also encourage all to live a life that honors God, as our bodies are temples of the Holy Spirit. This includes avoiding habits that may harm our health, such as smoking, excessive drinking, or any other form of substance abuse. If there are things we are doing that we know are adverse to our bodies, stop immediately and seek God's will instead.
Remember the words of James 5:15-16 WEB: "The prayer of faith will save him who is sick, and the Lord will raise him up. If he has committed sins, he will be forgiven. Confess your offenses to one another, and pray for one another, that you may be healed. The insistent prayer of a righteous person is powerfully effective." If there is anything holding you back from receiving God's healing, confess it, and turn away from it.
Lastly, thank you for praying in the name of Jesus. It is only in His name that we have access to the Father and it is only in His name that we can be saved. Whosoever therefore shall confess him before men, him will he also confess before his Father who is in heaven. as it says in Matthew 10:32 WEB.
Together, we stand in faith, believing that our brother will be healed and restored. We give thanks to You, Father, for all that You do for us. We thank you for the salvation that we have in Jesus Christ. In His precious name, we pray. Amen.
