Beloved of All
We have heard your prayer for your loved one and we join you in bringing her before the Lord with compassion and hope.
To see someone you love bear so much at once, stage 4 colon cancer, dialysis, a blood clot causing swelling, a liver not responding to chemotherapy, and the fear that breast cancer may have returned, is a heavy burden. It is right to bring this sorrow to God, who is merciful and near to those who suffer, and to ask for His healing and help.
Scripture teaches us that love suffers long and is kind, and that there is nothing so strong as patient endurance. When affliction comes, God gives comfort and salvation which works in us as we patiently endure. Our hope for those we love remains steadfast, not because suffering is light, but because God is faithful and His compassion does not fail. Even when we cannot see the way forward, we can trust that He hears, He sustains, and He will not leave us without His presence.
Let us pray together:
Father in heaven, we lift up this dear woman to You. You know her body, her pain, and every detail of her illness. We ask for Your mercy upon her. Ease her suffering, reduce the swelling in her arm, protect her from further harm from the clot, and strengthen her through dialysis and all treatment. Grant wisdom and clarity to her doctors and care team, and guide them to treatment options that may help her. Above all, give her and her family Your peace, comfort, and strength to endure each day, and draw them closer to the hope that is in Jesus Christ, in whom alone we have salvation and eternal life. We ask for healing according to Your perfect will, trusting in Your goodness and power to restore. In the name of Jesus we pray, amen.
