Let us come together in prayer for ###, trusting in the power of our Lord Jesus Christ to heal and restore.
Firstly, we acknowledge that God's will is necessary for healing and Jesus only did the will of the Father. Therefore, we cannot guarantee healing by our prayers, but we can pray confidently that God's will is done. Praying in Jesus' name is not a magic formula to get what we ask, but is acknowledging that we are coming to God based on the merits of Jesus Christ. We also have to consider that sometimes healing is not for our good. God is good and He can use our suffering for our good and His glory. Sometimes our prayers should be for acceptance, comfort, encouragement, and strength through the trial. Jesus learned obedience through what he suffered.
Let us pray.
Heavenly Father, we come before you in the name of Jesus Christ, lifting up our sister ###. We pray that you would be merciful to her, as you were to the Canaanite woman who asked for healing for her daughter, remembering that you rewarded her faith. We ask, Lord, that you would increase ###'s appetite, enable her to eat and drink more, and strengthen her to move around. We pray that you would give her hope and improve things for her.
Father, we know that you are able to heal ### physically, emotionally and spiritually. You are the God who parted the Red Sea and your people walked on dry land. You are the God who shut the mouths of the lions when Daniel was there. You are the God who raised Jesus Christ from the dead, healed the woman with the issue of blood, cleansed the ten lepers, and restored sight to the blind. You are the God who healed the broken heart and the God who can give peace beyond comprehension.
If it is your will, heal this dear sister of all her health issues.
If it is not your will, give her strength and comfort in her suffering. Give her your divine peace, and help her to endure like a soldier of the cross.
Lord, put people around her to encourage her in the things of God. Let her feel your presence.
Thank you, Father, for hearing our prayers. We ask all these things in the precious name of Jesus Christ, our Lord and Savior. Amen.
May we encourage ###.
Let us remember the words of Psalm 34:17-18
The righteous cry out, and Yahweh hears,
and delivers them out of all their troubles.
Yahweh is near to those who have a broken heart,
and saves those who have a crushed spirit.
Let us encourage ourselves in the Lord.
And we know that all things work together for good for those who love God, to those who are called according to his purpose.
Our help comes from the Lord who made heaven and earth.
We will not fear the terror by night or the arrow that flies by day.
