Healing, anxiety

We hear your cry for healing and deliverance from anxiety, and we join with you in lifting this before our Heavenly Father. The Scriptures remind us in Philippians 4:6-7, "In nothing be anxious, but in everything, by prayer and petition with thanksgiving, let your requests be made known to God. And the peace of God, which surpasses all understanding, will guard your hearts and your thoughts in Christ Jesus." It is clear that God does not desire for you to be weighed down by anxiety, but rather to experience His peace that transcends all understanding.

We also stand on the promise of healing found in James 5:14-15, "Is any among you sick? Let him call for the elders of the church, and let them pray over him, anointing him with oil in the name of the Lord; and the prayer of faith will heal him who is sick, and the Lord will raise him up. If he has committed sins, he will be forgiven." We believe in the power of prayer and the healing touch of our Lord.

Let us pray together:

Heavenly Father, we come before You, acknowledging Your sovereignty and power over all things. We lift up our dear brother/sister to You, asking for Your healing touch to be upon their body. Lord, You are the Great Physician, and we trust in Your ability to restore health and wholeness. We also ask for Your deliverance from anxiety. Fill them with Your peace that surpasses all understanding, guarding their heart and mind in Christ Jesus.

Father, we rebuke any spirit of fear and anxiety in the name of Jesus. We declare that our brother/sister is not given a spirit of fear, but of power, love, and a sound mind (2 Timothy 1:7). We pray that You would replace their anxiety with Your perfect peace, and that they would cast all their cares upon You, knowing that You care for them (1 Peter 5:7).

Lord, we ask that You would strengthen their faith and trust in You. Help them to lean not on their own understanding, but to acknowledge You in all their ways, trusting that You will direct their paths (Proverbs 3:5-6). We pray for a renewed mind, that they would be transformed by the renewing of their mind, so that they may prove what is the good, well-pleasing, and perfect will of God (Romans 12:2).

We thank You, Father, for Your faithfulness and for hearing our prayers. We trust in Your perfect timing and Your perfect will. May our brother/sister experience Your healing and peace in a tangible way, drawing them closer to You. In the mighty name of Jesus, we pray. Amen.

We encourage you to continue seeking the Lord in prayer and to surround yourself with fellow believers who can support and pray with you. Remember, God is our refuge and strength, a very present help in trouble (Psalm 46:1). Keep your eyes fixed on Jesus, the author and perfecter of our faith (Hebrews 12:2), and trust in His promises. You are not alone in this journey; we are here to support and uplift you in prayer.

It takes courage to name anxiety and bodily distress before God as you have done. We hear you and are standing with you in prayer.

When anxiety grips and the body feels heavy, it can feel isolating, but you are not alone. Even when relief does not come all at once, Christ’s presence with you in the struggle is steadfast. We have often seen that healing unfolds little by little, and the path includes small, steady steps, like asking a trusted friend to pray with you, or, if physical symptoms persist, seeing a doctor to rule out anything serious. There is no shame in seeking help; it is part of caring for the body God gave you.

As you wait, know that many others are lifting you up. We encourage you to let a few safe people in your life know so they can pray with you too. That shared support can anchor you when anxiety surges.

Lord Jesus, we ask for Your healing touch on this one’s body, and for Your peace to quiet every anxious thought. In the moments when fear rises, be a very present help. Surround them with Your love and with people who will bear their burden faithfully. We trust Your timing and Your goodness, and we pray in Your name. Amen.

May God in Jesus' name answer your prayer request according to God's perfect love, wisdom, will, timing, grace, and mercy. God is so in love with you. Be Encouraged!

Psalm 37:4: Delight yourself in the Lord, And He shall give you the desires of your heart.

Heal Me Lord Jesus Spirit, Soul, And Body

Have you not found out yet that the very anxiety which arises through your being in a difficulty unfits you to meet that difficulty? Your petition for healing and deliverance from anxiety comes before the throne, and the Lord is not deaf to the cry of His own. But let me press this upon you: pain of body wraps up within itself great mercy, and there are some who can scarcely be taught at all except through physical pain. The Lord has chastened you, but He has not given you over unto death. He feels that if you rise from your despondency, you can never dare to take an atom of the honor of deliverance to yourself, it must be of free grace only.

Look to Jesus upon the cross, and find in His wounds your healing, and in His death your life. The leaves of the tree are for the healing of the nations, and the very least thing about Christ is full of healing virtue. Your anxiety has everything to do with yourself, yet the deliverance from the power of sin and its effects is as much the work of God as deliverance from its guilt. You do not look to your own hand for justification; neither look there for sanctification or for the quieting of your soul. The Sun of Righteousness has risen with healing in His wings, and when He says, “Son, be of good cheer; your sins are forgiven you,” pardon and healing are one.

Let me ask you, do you doubt your deliverance? God has said it: “I have found a ransom.” The clock of mercy struck in heaven the hour and moment of deliverance when the Lamb was slain. He who wrote your name in wounds upon His hand and on His side, has He forgotten? What! Jesus your own brother, your husband, your head, your all, shall He forget? You shall not die, but live, and declare the works of the Lord. After trouble and deliverance, here is your conduct: declaration. If you had no afflictions, what great deliverance would you have to speak of? The Lord does sometimes whisper to the heart of His children and assure them in trial that they shall not be crushed. And then, being brought forth with silver and gold, not one feeble soul in all the tribes, you will sing songs of deliverance with deeper gratitude and more jubilant music. Let it be known for the comfort of others in like trouble: you will cross the brook full of fear and trembling, but you will meet your Brother, and He will fall upon your neck and kiss you.
