Your desire for a wise and understanding heart to be a faithful steward of all that God has entrusted to you is a desire that pleases Him. Scripture teaches that wisdom comes from the Lord, and out of His mouth come knowledge and understanding. He stores up sound wisdom for those who walk uprightly and He guards and keeps their way. To seek Him with all your heart, to pour out your soul before Him in prayer, and to learn diligently in His Word is the very path to finding that wisdom.

Wisdom is the most important thing you can pursue, and with all your pursuing, pursue understanding. The beginning of wisdom is the fear of the Lord, a reverent trust and submission to Him. That means inclining your ear to His voice and applying your heart to what He says. As you do this, you will find that His ways bring pleasantness and peace, and that wisdom itself will preserve and keep you. It is a defense and it gives life to those who have it. All the treasures of wisdom and knowledge are hidden in Christ, so to grow in wisdom is to grow in knowing Him. The wisdom of this world, apart from God, is empty and comes to nothing, but the wisdom that comes from above is pure and leads to a life that honors God.

Your prayer from Proverbs 13:20 is a good and biblical prayer. To walk with the wise is to become wise, and God will answer that prayer as you choose companions and counsel that are rooted in His Word and in the knowledge of what is holy and pure. Continue to ask Him for the Spirit of wisdom and understanding, and He who loves those who seek Him early will be found by you.

I also join you in prayer for healing in the name of Jesus Christ. We bring before the Lord your teeth and especially the upper wisdom tooth on the right, your eyes, the entire left leg and the left side of the pelvis, the growth in the upper part of the left thigh, the growth on the abdomen under the skin, and your stomach, intestines and entire gastrointestinal tract. The Scripture shows that the suffering of Christ was not only for our spiritual healing but also for our physical healing, as the prophet Isaiah foretold and as Matthew applies to the healings Jesus performed. At the same time we pray with complete trust and commitment, asking that the Lord's will be done, knowing that to place ourselves fully in His hands is itself an act of faith and wisdom.

May the Lord grant you a heart that hears His voice, understands His will, and walks faithfully as a steward of all He has given you. May He strengthen you in His Word, surround you with wise counsel, and touch your body with His healing hand according to His perfect will. We ask this in the holy name of Jesus Christ, trusting in His power and mercy.
