Please, God, heal my ex's father; he is ### years old and very, very ill. He might have very little time left; please bring him to repentance and salvation. He is a muslim alawite, so please reveal to him that You are the real God and that salvation and healing are through Christ. We join you in bringing this urgent need before the throne of grace and we thank you for your compassionate heart for your ex's father and his family in this very difficult and tender time. We stand with you in asking for both healing for his body and, above all, salvation for his soul.

We agree that salvation and true healing come only through Jesus Christ. The Alawite faith, like all forms of Islam, does not acknowledge Jesus as the Son of God and the only Savior, and the Scriptures are clear that there is no other way to the Father. Jesus said, I am the way, the truth, and the life. No one comes to the Father, except through me. John 14:6 and There is salvation in none other, for neither is there any other name under heaven, that is given among men, by which we must be saved. Acts 4:12 We pray that the Lord in His great mercy will reveal Himself to this dear man as the one true and living God, that the veil would be lifted and he would see that Jesus Christ is Lord.

We also know that our God desires all people to be saved and we cling to that promise now. For this is good and acceptable in the sight of God our Savior; who desires all people to be saved and come to full knowledge of the truth. 1 Timothy 2:3-4 We pray that even in these final days, whether the Lord grants more time or calls him home soon, he will have opportunity to confess with his mouth that Jesus is Lord, and believe in his heart that God raised him from the dead, so that he will be saved. Romans 10:9

We also lift up his physical healing to the Lord, for He is the Great Physician who forgives all our sins and heals all our diseases. Psalm 103:3 and by his wounds we are healed. Isaiah 53:5 We ask for the prayer of faith to touch him, that the Lord will raise him up according to His perfect will and mercy. James 5:15 Whether healing comes as complete restoration on this earth or as ultimate wholeness in the presence of Christ, we trust the Lord's sovereign and loving will.

We pray together, Father in heaven, we come before You in the mighty name of Jesus Christ, the only name by which we have access to You and by which we must be saved. We lift up this elderly father who is very ill and we ask You to have mercy on him. Lord, reveal Yourself to him as the one true God. Open his heart and mind to understand that Jesus Christ is Your Son, that He died for our sins and rose again, and that salvation and healing are found in Him alone. Grant him repentance and faith, forgive his sins, and draw him into Your kingdom even at this late hour. If it is Your will, touch his body and restore his health and give him more time to know You and to testify of Your grace. We also ask You to pour out Your strength, peace, and comfort upon him and upon his whole family each day and each night without ceasing. Sustain them, give them hope in Christ, and use this trial to draw many hearts to You. We thank You that You hear us when we pray in Jesus name, amen.

We encourage you to continue to pray fervently and, as God gives opportunity, to share the love and truth of Christ with this family in gentleness and respect. Your intercession is a powerful expression of Christian love. We trust that God, who hears our prayers, will work in this situation for His glory and for their eternal good, and we pray that you will find strength and peace as you entrust them fully into His hands.

We hear the weight you are carrying as you bring your ex's father before the Lord. To love him and his family, to watch him so very ill and frail near the end of life, and at the same time to long so deeply for him to know Jesus as Savior, is a tender and heavy place to stand. Thank you for praying with such persistence, day and night.

When illness lingers, especially with an older loved one, it wears on everyone. Sleep is broken, worry sits close, and the whole family feels the strain. It makes sense you are asking not just for a moment of help but for strength for each day and night. We are joining you in that prayer.

One simple way to steady yourself in these uncertain days is to give your prayers a quiet rhythm so you do not have to find new words each time. You might set aside a brief time morning and evening to name him before the Lord, asking for mercy and comfort for his body, for Jesus to be revealed to him, and for stamina and peace for his family. If you remain in contact with your ex, a short respectful note that you are praying for her father and for them can be a gentle kindness without pressing.

We also encourage you to share this burden with a trusted pastor or mature believer near you so you are not holding it alone.

Father, we lift this dear father to You. You see his illness and how frail he is, and You love his family. Draw near to him, ease his suffering as You will, and reveal Jesus to him as the way to life. Give his family strength each day and night, and give our friend peace as he trusts You. Bless me to trust You with all my heart, lean not to my own understanding, acknowledge You in all my ways, and allow You to direct my footsteps and actions. Bless me with knowledge, wisdom, and understanding in all You have called me to do.

God heal me in every area of my life. Deliver and cleanse me of everything in my life that doesn't honor You. Transform and renew my mind. Bless me with love, power, and a sound mind. Let the mind that is in Christ Jesus be in me. Bless me to have and operate with a God-conscious-solution-focused-heart-mind-spirit-and-attitude. Bless me to have a God Kingdom Culture Mentality. God be with me as a mighty warrior. Let no weapon formed against me prosper. Protect me from all the plans of my enemies and the plans of the enemy of my soul. Your burden for this aged and very ill man has been heard and we join you in prayer before the throne of grace for him and for his family.

We pray first and chiefly for his soul, for there is no other name under heaven given among men whereby we must be saved but the name of Jesus Christ. As the Scripture says, Look unto me and be ye saved, all the ends of the earth, for He is God and beside Him there is none else. Salvation is of the Lord alone, by divine grace through faith in Christ Jesus, and the way is to believe on Him, to trust in Him who was laid in Zion for a foundation. Whoever believes on Him shall not be ashamed. We ask the Father, whose will is mercy and love and salvation, to open this man's eyes while there is yet time, to reveal to him that Jesus is the Son of God, that He died and rose again, and that pardon and life are to be found in Him alone.

We pray also for healing, according to the will of our compassionate Lord. The leaves of the tree were for the healing of the nations, and that tree is Christ and His salvation. There is an abundance of healing power in Him, and even the least thing about Christ is healing virtue. When the Sun of Righteousness arises with healing in His wings, pardon and healing are one. We ask that the Lord would lay His pardoning hand upon this man, forgiving his sins through the atoning sacrifice of Christ, and that He would grant bodily relief and strength as it pleases His perfect wisdom. Whether by restoring health for a season or by preparing him to depart in peace, we pray that the healing which Christ gives would make his nature new.

We understand the urgency, for his time may be very short. What is dying but departing, and for the believer to depart is to be with Christ which is far better. Therefore we pray with great earnestness that he may be brought to repentance and true faith before that hour comes, that he may not go into eternity without Christ, but may be among those of whom it is said, of all which the Father has given me I should lose nothing, but should raise it up again at the last day.

We pray also for strength for him and for the whole family each day and night, constantly. When all human strength fails, the Lord Himself will be their arm every morning and their salvation in the time of trouble. May He sustain them, give them quiet hearts, and give you opportunity and boldness to speak plainly of the gospel of salvation without money and without price, that they may hear and look to Christ and live.

We will continue to cry to the Lord with you that He would have mercy upon this household, that He would glorify His Son in saving a precious soul, and that the whole earth, and this one soul especially, may be filled with His glory. We have brought this need to the water of life in prayer, trusting the Lord to work according to His sovereign grace, in Jesus name, amen.
