Healing and peace

Your prayer for healing, protection, and peace echoes the very heart of what our Father offers us in Jesus Christ. Grace, mercy, and peace are yours from God the Father and from the Lord Jesus Christ, given in truth and love. That peace is not a fragile truce or a feeling we muster up, it is a settled reality for those who have stopped running from God and have found refuge in Him. Jesus is our peace, the One who broke down every wall that separated us from a holy God. When you turn your life over to Him and receive the forgiveness of your sins, the war inside you ends. There is a deep, glorious peace that surpasses all understanding, a peace that keeps your mind and heart steady even when turmoil swirls around you.

You also ask for deliverance from evil. That begins in the heart that learns to hate what God hates. The fear of the Lord is not cowering dread; it is a reverence so profound that it recoils from evil. True wisdom starts there, with a hatred of evil and a refusal to make peace with it. The world constantly urges us to tolerate evil, to call it good and to mock those who resist it. But if you seek healing for your body and refreshment for your bones, Scripture points the way: fear the Lord, depart from evil. Turn away from the things that poison the mind and the home. Guard your lips from speaking evil, shut the door on those influences that pour darkness into your life, and pursue peace instead. This isn’t about mere self-improvement; it’s about actively choosing the path of life because the eyes of the Lord are on the righteous, and His ears are open to your prayers.

When you keep your mind fixed on God, trusting Him completely, He will keep you in perfect peace. He has ordained peace for you, not as a distant hope, but as a present gift. But that peace flows out of being right with Him. There is no peace, God says, for those who cling to their rebellion, who are like the restless sea churning up mire and dirt. Yet for everyone who will come, the invitation stands: peace to you who were far off and peace to you who are near. You receive that peace the moment you stop fighting and surrender fully to Jesus.

As for your family, entrust them to the Lord. True bond runs deeper than blood when it is forged in the family of God. Sometimes following Christ creates division even among those we love most, but the family of faith brings a connection that is eternal. Pray for them with a clear conscience, live uprightly before them, and refuse to repay evil for evil. A soft answer often does what anger cannot. Sow peace, and in due season you will reap a harvest of righteousness.

God knows the threats that surround you, and He is not indifferent. Though evil may seem to stack upon evil in this world, it will not have the last word. There is a limit, and the Lord will bring an end to the reign of wickedness. In the meantime, He is your protector and your peace. Walk closely with Him. Let your request be matched by a life that hates evil, does good, seeks peace, and pursues it with all your heart. That is the way to see good days and to know His healing touch, both now and forever.
