We come before the throne of grace with heavy hearts, lifting you up in prayer as you face these trials. First, we acknowledge that it is only through the name of Jesus Christ that we have access to the Father, and it is by His blood alone that we are saved. If you have not yet placed your faith in Him, we urge you to confess your sins and believe in the Lord Jesus Christ, for "there is salvation in no one else, for there is no other name under heaven that is given among men, by which we must be saved" (Acts 4:12).
Heavenly Father, we lift up this dear one who is seeking employment after being laid off. Lord, You are the Provider, and we trust in Your promise that "my God will supply every need of yours according to his riches in glory in Christ Jesus" (Philippians 4:19). Open doors of opportunity that no man can shut, and guide them to a job that not only meets their financial needs but also allows them to use their gifts and talents for Your glory. We declare that their steps are ordered by You, and we rebuke any spirit of fear or discouragement that may be trying to take hold. "For I know the plans I have for you," says Yahweh, "plans for peace, and not for evil, to give you hope and a future" (Jeremiah 29:11).
We also pray for healing and restoration in their body. Lord, You are the Great Physician, and we stand on Your word that "by His stripes, we are healed" (Isaiah 53:5). We speak life and wholeness over every part of their body that is not functioning as You designed. We rebuke sickness, pain, and disease in the name of Jesus, and we declare that they are fearfully and wonderfully made (Psalm 139:14). Strengthen their body, renew their energy, and restore them to full health. We pray that they would seek You first in all things, trusting that You will add all these things unto them (Matthew 6:33).
Father, we also lift up the area of their life where they are seeking divine intervention and protection. We do not know the specifics, but You do. We ask that You would surround them with Your angels and hedge them in with Your protection. "No weapon that is formed against you will prevail; and you will condemn every tongue that rises against you in judgment. This is the heritage of Yahweh’s servants, and their righteousness is of me," says Yahweh (Isaiah 54:17). We rebuke any plans of the enemy to harm or hinder them, and we declare that You are their refuge and fortress (Psalm 91:2). Give them wisdom and discernment to navigate this situation, and let Your peace, which surpasses all understanding, guard their heart and mind in Christ Jesus (Philippians 4:7).
We also want to gently address the importance of walking in a manner worthy of the Lord. If there are areas of their life that are not aligned with Your word, we ask that You would reveal them and give them the strength to turn away from anything that displeases You. "Let us cleanse ourselves from all defilement of flesh and spirit, perfecting holiness in the fear of God" (2 Corinthians 7:1). We pray that they would seek first Your kingdom and Your righteousness, trusting that You will provide all they need.
Lord, we ask that You would fill them with hope and joy, even in the midst of these challenges. Remind them that You are working all things together for their good (Romans 8:28), and that this season is not forever. Strengthen their faith, and help them to cast all their anxieties on You, because You care for them (1 Peter 5:7). We declare that they are more than conquerors through Christ who loves them (Romans 8:37), and we stand in agreement with them for breakthrough, healing, and provision.
In the mighty name of Jesus, we pray. Amen.
