Healing and finances

You bring before God your bodily affliction and your lack of resources. Rightly do you cry out for a miracle, for He alone is the Physician of souls and bodies. Yet consider: when He delayed to feed the multitude until they had been three days without provision, it was that having first felt their want, they might receive His gift with greater eagerness and thanksgiving. So now, this cutting short of your hours and this pain in your teeth and gums, do not count it as abandonment, but as the loving surgery of the Master. He often permits the body to be weakened and the purse to be emptied, that the soul may be strengthened and learn to cling to Him alone.

Make provision for the flesh, indeed, for the Apostle himself counseled Timothy to use a little wine for his stomach’s infirmities. Care for your teeth and seek relief, but do so for health and not for luxury, and above all, not with anxious fretting that fulfills the lusts of worry. The present life is a sleep, and its hardships pass like dreams. But the God who formed the mouth and teeth is not idle. He who restored the withered hand with a word can command restoration into your gums. Cry out to Him, and do not cease, even if you feel no change after many prayers. For as a tree receives ten strokes before falling, so the soul often accumulates grace unseen until at last the healing springs forth. Do not take the devil’s bait of despair, which tears us from God and from one another; rather, trust that He who began a good work will complete it.

For your finances, remember the birds of the air and the grass of the field. Has He not fed you until now? Do not your past deliverances testify that you heard the word as if God Himself were exhorting you? Then do not choke the word with cares. Seek first the kingdom, and the things needful for the body will be added. And if you must endure a season of little, let it be the school of your soul, that you may have treasure in heaven. The day will declare every man’s work; make it your work now to trust without seeing, to hope without complaining. The God who multiplied loaves in the wilderness can stretch your diminished hours into sufficiency. Only believe, and do not limit the Holy One of Israel by measuring tomorrow with today’s eyes. In all things, hold fast to the confession that Christ is Lord, and let your meekness be known to all men, even those who see your affliction, for a calm and trusting soul is a greater wonder than the raising of the dead.

I hear the ache in your words, the weight of a body that needs restoration and a schedule that’s suddenly bare. Both are heavy burdens, and it’s right to bring them before God with honest desperation. He never turns away a heart that cries out for mercy.

When I consider healing, I’m reminded that Jesus didn’t always work on our timetable. There’s one miracle where a man’s sight returned only after a second touch. At first he saw dimly, then clearly. If that’s the only gradual healing recorded, it tells me that some works of restoration unfold in stages, not all at once. I can’t explain why, and I won’t pretend to have a formula, but I know God is moving even when the change isn’t immediate. Your teeth and gums may be a place where He chooses to work step by step. Even partial relief, a lessening of pain, a small improvement, is a gift to acknowledge and thank Him for.

The same holds true for finances. I’ve seen God supply needs in ways that defied the neat boxes we like to build. It rarely looked like a giant check from nowhere. More often, it was a phone call offering a day’s work, an unexpected refund, a friend sharing out of their own provision. Those small, unglamorous provisions were just as much His hand as a dramatic miracle. When your hours are cut, it’s natural to feel the walls closing in, but God isn’t limited by your employer’s decisions. He can open a door you never saw coming. You don’t need to figure out how He’ll do it. That’s His business. Yours is to trust, and even that trust is something He gives you. You can’t work it up; it’s a gift. Ask Him for that gift, and then rest in it.

Be careful not to limit how God might move. We’re so quick to tell Him exactly what the answer should look like, as if His power only flows through a certain channel. He delights in providing outside our systems, outside our seminaries and our religious structures, often through ordinary, humble means. The early church saw joy break out wherever the Spirit was at work, not because they had it all figured out, but because they were open to His moving. You and I can be just as open today.

And remember, human need isn’t something trivial to God. When the disciples were hungry on the Sabbath, Jesus pointed out that David fed his men with the showbread, something only priests were meant to eat. Need took precedence over regulation. Your body aches and your bank account is thin, and that matters to Him. He’s compassionate, even when we’re weak and frightened. You can approach Him with boldness, not because you’ve been perfect, but because His grace welcomes you. He’s the high priest who finished our redemption; He knows what it is to suffer lack.

You’re not alone in this, either. The body of Christ is made of many members, each with a role. Sometimes healing and provision come through the hands and help of other believers. I pray God will put the right people in your path, and that you’ll have eyes to see His kindness when it shows up, even in simple forms.

Father, we lift up this dear one before You. You see the pain, the fear, the uncertainty. We ask for a miracle of healing in teeth and gums, whether it comes in an instant or little by little. And we ask for Your provision in these reduced hours, that You would open a way and supply every need according to Your riches. Help this one to rest, not in a plan they can see, but in Your promise to work. We pray in Jesus’ name.

We are so grateful you entrusted us with your heartfelt prayer request, sharing your deep need for divine healing in your teeth and gums, as well as financial restoration during this challenging time. It has been our privilege to stand with you in faith, lifting these burdens before our Heavenly Father, believing in His power to bring miraculous healing and provision.

We continue to pray that God’s healing touch would restore every part of your mouth—strengthening your gums, renewing your teeth, and bringing comfort where there has been pain. May His peace guard your heart as you wait on Him, and may He open doors of financial blessing, providing for every need according to His riches in glory. We ask that He would multiply your resources, restore your hours, and guide you to opportunities that bring stability and abundance.

If God has already moved in these areas—whether through healing, unexpected provision, or a renewed sense of His presence—we would love to hear your praise report! Your testimony will encourage others and bring glory to His name. If, however, you are still waiting and the needs remain, please share this request again so we can continue to intercede on your behalf. We are committed to standing with you in faith until you see His promises fulfilled.

May the Lord bless you abundantly as you seek Him, trusting in His perfect timing and unfailing love. We pray all these things in the mighty name of Jesus. Amen.
