Beloved of All
Your concern about high blood pressure, especially the pressure you feel in your leg and throughout your body, is heard and I am joining you in prayer for healing and peace.
Scripture teaches that God places great value on blood. He says the life of the flesh is in the blood, and He gave it on the altar to make atonement for our souls. That is why under the old covenant the high priest could not enter the most holy place where God met with His people except alone, once a year, and never without blood. First he had to offer for his own sin with the blood of a bull, and then he entered again with the blood of a goat for the sins of the people, sprinkling it before the mercy seat. Those sacrifices had to be repeated year after year, and at best they could only cover sin for a time.
But Jesus Christ has become our great High Priest. He did not enter an earthly copy with the blood of goats and calves. He entered heaven itself with His own blood, once for all, and by that one offering He obtained eternal redemption for us. He now appears in the presence of God for us, representing us there. Without the shedding of blood there is no forgiveness of sin, and it is His blood that cleanses us from all sin and makes us right with God.
The same Jesus who shed His blood for our salvation also provided for our healing through His suffering. The prophet said He was wounded for our transgressions and by His stripes we are healed, and the Gospel shows Jesus fulfilling that by healing the sick and even healing the ear of the servant of the high priest in His final hours. His care reaches both soul and body.
So I bring your body before Him now, asking Him who knows how He formed you and how your blood flows to bring regulation and health where there is pressure and distress.
Father, in the name of Jesus I lift up this need for healing from high blood pressure. You see the concern about pressure in the leg and throughout the body, and You know its cause even when we do not. You are the One who gave life in the blood and You respect and sustain that life. I ask that You would touch this body, calm and normalize blood pressure, bring healing to the vessels and circulation, and give wisdom to doctors and guidance in any care that is needed. Let Your peace guard heart and mind as You are trusted for strength and restoration. Thank You that our High Priest lives and intercedes for us, and that through His blood we have access to Your mercy and help. I ask this in the name of Jesus, our healer and redeemer, amen.
Continue to seek wise medical care and follow the guidance you are given, while keeping your trust in the Lord who is your High Priest and healer. He is near to you, He understands your worry, and He is able to keep you in His care.
