James 2:23 (NLT): And so, it happened just as the Scriptures say: “Abraham believed God, and God counted him as righteous because of his faith.” He was even called the friend of God.

God, I come to You asking in Jesus’ name, show me what it looks like and teach me how to develop a stronger- ever- growing closer intimate relationship with You. God teach me how and bless me to become a true friend of Yours. Bless me to experience the joy and privilege of being Your friend. Let me be known by You and all the angels in heaven and on earth that I am a friend of God. Let this be my confession, “God calls me friend; I Am a Friend of God.” God, please strengthen my faith and trust in You. May my life bring glory to Your name. And God may You be proud to call me Your child, friend, and good and faithful servant. God please do the same for the writer of this prayer and all those I love and care about. God, I ask You in Jesus’ name this Christmas and every day following bless my family and friends (including myself). Surround us with your protection and guidance. Bless us with strength and courage. Whisper Your Words of love, hope, faith, encouragement, wisdom, and instruction into each of our ears. Let the love, healing, hope, peace, and wisdom of God rest in our thoughts, rule in our lives, and conquer all our fears. Let our God given dreams and goals become reality in each of our lives.
