Your honesty before God is heard, and it is good to bring this discomfort to Him rather than holding it inside.
May you know grace, mercy and peace from God the Father and from the Lord Jesus Christ in truth and love. That peace which comes from knowing God is in control is able to guard your heart and mind even when relationships feel strained and unsettled, a peace that goes beyond what we can understand or explain.
Scripture shows that our relationship with God is primary. When that relationship is right, our relationships with people begin to find their right order. Many of our difficulties with others are really symptoms of a deeper need to be rooted in Him. As you seek an intimate and loving walk with Jesus, not merely a legal or dutiful one, He will give you wisdom for boundaries, clarity in what is uncomfortable, and kindness in how you respond.
It is right to desire good for the other person while also being truthful about your own limits. True happiness is not found simply elsewhere or in a change of circumstances, but in knowing Christ and walking in His ways. Our prayer for you and for him is that each of you would find wholeness in Christ, that God would lead each life according to His perfect will, and that where there is distance needed, it would be handled with grace and respect.
May the Lord keep you in His peace, strengthen you to walk in what is right before Him, and guide both of you toward what honors Him and brings lasting good.
