We understand that you're seeking happiness, and we want to guide you from a biblical perspective. Happiness is something that everyone desires, but we want to remind you that true joy and contentment are found in Jesus Christ, not in circumstances or other people or things. As it is written in John 15:11 WEB, "I have spoken these things to you, that my joy may remain in you, and that your joy may be made full."
However, we want to clarify that the phrase "find happiness elsewhere" can sometimes imply that people may look out of a marriage or committed relationship to find happiness. The Bible does not approve of that and neither do we. In marriage or courtship the scriptures tell us to never look or consider a relationship with a third party to find happiness. Scripture tells us in 1 Corinthians 7:10-11 WEB, "But to the married I command—not I, but the Lord—that the wife not leave her husband (but if she departs, let her remain unmarried, or else be reconciled to her husband), and that the husband not leave his wife."
We pray for you, that the peace of God, which surpasses all understanding, will guard your hearts and minds through Christ Jesus (Philippians 4:7) and that you will find your joy and contentment in Him. Remember, it is only through a relationship with Jesus Christ that we can find true, everlasting happiness and have eternal life. It is only in his name that we can come to the Father and be saved.
"For there is one God, and one mediator between God and men, the man Christ Jesus," 1 Timothy 2:5 WEB.
Dear Lord, we pray that you will help the one requesting prayer find true happiness and joy in you. Guide them in their relationships that they may honor you. Help them never to look outside of their marriage or committed relationships for happiness. We pray for contentment, patience, healing and happiness. We ask this in Jesus name. Amen.
