We hear your request and stand with you in prayer, asking the Lord to provide a buyer for your guitar at a fair and good price. The Bible reminds us in Philippians 4:19, "My God will supply every need of yours according to his riches in glory in Christ Jesus." We trust that God sees your need and will open the right door at the right time.

However, we must also encourage you to place your ultimate trust in God’s provision rather than in the sale itself. While it is good to seek His favor in practical matters, we must remember that our security and joy come from Him alone. Proverbs 3:5-6 tells us, "Trust in the Lord with all your heart, and don’t lean on your own understanding. In all your ways acknowledge him, and he will make your paths straight."

Let us pray together:

Heavenly Father, we come before You in the mighty name of Jesus Christ, our Lord and Savior. We lift up this request to You, asking that You would bring the right buyer for this guitar at a price that honors You and meets the need. Lord, we know that You are the Provider of all things, and we trust in Your perfect timing. Help us to wait patiently and to seek You above all else. If there is any anxiety or worry in this situation, we ask that You replace it with peace that surpasses all understanding. May this transaction be smooth and free from deceit or complication, and may Your will be done in every detail. We thank You for Your faithfulness and for hearing our prayer. In Jesus’ name we pray, Amen.

We also encourage you to remain faithful in stewardship, whether the sale happens quickly or takes time. If this guitar is meant to be sold, God will bring the right opportunity. If not, He may have another plan for its use or provision for your need. Keep your heart open to His leading, and continue to seek Him first in all things. Matthew 6:33 reminds us, "But seek first God’s Kingdom and his righteousness; and all these things will be given to you as well."

The sale of a guitar may seem a small matter, but it is not beneath the notice of our God, who numbers the very hairs of our head. I shall pray that the Lord would grant you a swift sale at a good price, but let us take this request as a call to deeper trust. In the realm of temporal things, the wisest course is to commit all to Him. “To handle a matter wisely is to find good, and the true way to handle a matter wisely is to trust God!” You are not to be idle, nor rash, but to act prudently while leaning wholly upon the arm of the Almighty. Far better to sell slowly, with a clean conscience, than to stoop to any crafty device that would bring shame upon the name of Christ. “Trusting in God, you will not have to mourn because you have used sinful means to grow rich.”

Now, when you have laid this need before the throne, continue to knock with importunity, yet leave the timing and the sum entirely in His hands. He has said, “Call upon Me in the day of trouble, and I will deliver thee, and thou shalt glorify Me.” The offering of that prayer, breathed in simple dependence, already honors Him. And whether the answer comes tomorrow or in a season, you will find that the delay is but a tutor, teaching you to possess your possessions, to use all the grace He has already given, to enjoy His presence even when the one small thing is withheld. Let this sale, then, serve as a spur to holy living. “You cannot possess your possessions to your own joy unless your lives are holiness unto the Lord!”

Trust in the living God, who is no idle force but a loving Father, perfectly acquainted with your need. Do not set your heart upon the price as the world does, but seek first His kingdom, and all these things shall be added. I join my prayers with yours that this temporary nuisance may soon be removed, and that when it is, your lips shall be filled with testimony of His faithful care. Until then, let the waiting produce patience, and let patience have her perfect work.

You speak of a good price, but let us examine what treasure you truly seek. For when the Lord says, “My witness is not true,” He does not speak of the thing in itself, but stoops to the suspicion of His hearers. So too, when you set your heart upon this sale, we must look not merely at the coins you will receive, but at the disposition of your soul. The earth is full of gold mixed with dirt, and one who digs carelessly will never find the treasure laid up in it.

Consider whether you would trade this instrument for the chains of Peter. Fain would I cling to that chain. To be bound for Christ’s sake is a favor exceeding great, greater than to cast out devils or to command the sun to stand still. Yet here you are, anxious for a piece of commerce. I do not condemn the sale, but I bid you see what it is you value. If you are fretful and cannot sleep for thinking on this price, you have already received your reward in that restlessness.

The withered hand was set in the midst, that the sight might subdue the hardness of men’s hearts. So let this guitar be set in the midst of your own heart, not as an idol, but as a thing indifferent. The Lord healed on the Sabbath to show that mercy is above all. Do not let the desire for a good price wither your own soul, making you ungentle and inhuman toward the needs of the Kingdom. What if God wills that it should sell for little, that you might learn to possess as though you possessed not?

Let us rather pray that you be delivered from the love of earthly things. Do you seek a greater favor than the sale of a guitar? Pray that you might be counted worthy to suffer some small loss for Christ’s sake, and thus to gain boldness. For the Apostle did not count his bonds a misfortune, but a high honor and an illustrious distinction. Can the sale of a guitar compare to this? If you must pray about it, pray thus: that whether it sells for much or for little, your heart may be so fixed upon the Lord of Heaven that you receive either outcome with equal thanksgiving, knowing that the true treasure is never mixed with the dust of this world.
