Growth of ### through sermons, hunger for God

Anonymous

Beloved of All
Father, thank you for the Gospel the Power of God for salvation to all who believe, Rom 1:16.

I had a significant repentance of heart last July. Jesus prepared me prior and is still renewing my mind since. My wife and I’ve been separated. I still ask she watches sermons online, receives the word of God implanted, which saves the soul, especially if we put what is taught into our daily lives. Help us all be doers, not merely hearers. That leads to deception.

We have a child, so I ask the groundwork be set in order for us to reconcile and grow in God together. May we both have devotional lives, raise our child correctly, worship as a family, evangelize, make disciples, strengthen other believers and churches, write books and translate them into different languages, preach, teach, plant, water and enjoy watching God work.

I ask she takes loving admonition more quickly (from the heart). Help us communicate more tenderly, yet never let us use the lack of a perfect delivery to excuse the need to hear and apply truth in whatever form it comes (truth to Nineveh came from unloving Jonah 3:4. Balaam was spoken through by his donkey, Numbers 22:30, 2 Peter 2:16).

We ask for protection from temptation, doubt, evil, evil people, falsehood, deceit, deception, sickness, sin and the serpent's craftiness, in Jesus Name. Thank you.

We rejoice with you in the work the Lord has begun in your heart, for it is He who has granted you repentance leading to life. Your hunger for God and His Word is a testimony of His transforming power, and we give Him all glory for the renewal of your mind through the Gospel, which is indeed "the power of God for salvation to everyone who believes" (Romans 1:16). Your desire to be a doer of the Word and not merely a hearer aligns with James 1:22: "But be doers of the word, and not only hearers, deluding your own selves." This is a heart after God’s own, and we pray He continues to deepen this hunger in you, your wife, and all who seek Him.

We stand with you in prayer for the reconciliation of your marriage, for God hates divorce (Malachi 2:16) and delights in restoring what has been broken. The Lord is able to soften hearts, renew minds, and rebuild what seems impossible to man. Your petition for your wife to receive the implanted Word of God (James 1:21) is a godly one, for it is the Word that brings salvation and sanctification. We pray she would be drawn to sermons and teachings that expose her to the truth, that her heart would be tender toward the Lord’s admonitions, and that she would walk in obedience to His voice. May the Lord grant her—and you—a spirit of humility, for "God resists the proud, but gives grace to the humble" (James 4:6).

Your vision for your family is one that honors the Lord: devotional lives rooted in His Word, raising your child in the nurture and admonition of the Lord (Ephesians 6:4), and worshiping together as a family. We pray the Lord would unite your hearts in this purpose, that your home would be a place of prayer, discipleship, and evangelism. May He open doors for you to write, teach, and preach His Word, translating it into many languages for the spread of the Gospel. The harvest is plentiful, and the Lord is faithful to equip those He calls. We ask that He would plant seeds through you, water them through your obedience, and bring forth fruit that remains (John 15:16).

We also lift up your request for tender yet truthful communication between you and your wife. The Lord often uses imperfect vessels to deliver His truth—just as you noted with Jonah and Balaam’s donkey. May you both have ears to hear the Lord’s voice, even when it comes through imperfect means, and may your hearts be quick to repent and align with His will. Let love cover a multitude of sins (1 Peter 4:8), but let truth never be compromised for the sake of comfort. Speak the truth in love (Ephesians 4:15), trusting the Holy Spirit to convict and comfort as only He can.

We rebuke every scheme of the enemy against your marriage, your family, and your ministry. The Lord is your shield and protector, and we declare His victory over temptation, doubt, deception, and every form of evil. "No weapon that is formed against you will prevail" (Isaiah 54:17), and the Lord will expose and thwart the plans of the serpent, who seeks to devour. Clothe yourselves in the full armor of God (Ephesians 6:10-18), standing firm in faith, and the Lord will deliver you.

Finally, we give thanks that you have invoked the name of Jesus in your request, for it is only through Him that we have access to the Father (John 14:6). There is no other name by which we are saved, and it is in His mighty name that we pray for your marriage, your family, and your calling. May the Lord continue to renew your mind, transform your heart, and use you mightily for His kingdom.

**Our prayer for you:**
Heavenly Father, we lift up our brother to You, thanking You for the work of repentance and renewal You have begun in his life. Lord, we ask that You would continue to deepen his hunger for Your Word and Your presence, that he may grow in grace and knowledge of our Lord Jesus Christ. Father, we intercede for his marriage, that You would soften his wife’s heart and draw her to Yourself. Let Your Word take root in her life, that she may walk in obedience and humility before You. Restore their marriage, Lord, and unite them in purpose—to raise their child in Your ways, to worship together, and to serve You with one heart.

Grant them wisdom in communication, that they may speak the truth in love and receive correction with tenderness. Protect them from the enemy’s schemes, and let no weapon formed against them prosper. Open doors for them to minister Your Word, to write, to teach, and to preach, that many may come to know You. Strengthen them, Lord, and let their lives be a testimony of Your redeeming power. We ask all this in the mighty name of Jesus Christ, our Lord and Savior. Amen.

We're right there with you, brother, praying for your marriage to be restored and for your family to grow together in God. We're encouraged by your repentance and hunger for God's Word, and we join you in asking for a spirit of humility and tender hearts towards the Lord's admonitions.

Let's continue to lift up your wife in prayer, asking God to draw her closer to Him and His truth. May she be open to the implanted Word of God, letting it take root and grow in her life. We pray for your communication as a couple, that you both would speak the truth in love and receive correction tenderly. Remember, even the donkey spoke truth to Balaam, so let's be open to the Holy Spirit's leading in whatever form it comes.

We stand against every scheme of the enemy, declaring God's victory over temptation, doubt, and deception. Let's clothe ourselves in the full armor of God, standing firm in faith, knowing that our God is our shield and protector.

We're grateful that you've invoked the name of Jesus in your request, for it's through Him that we have access to the Father. We'll keep praying that the Lord would continue to renew your mind, transform your heart, and use you mightily for His kingdom.

Let's keep encouraging one another, brother, as we journey together in Christ. God is faithful, and we trust in His goodness and mercy.
