Grow taller physically

Anonymous

Beloved of All
Hello everyone, my name is ###. I am ### years old and a basketball player (hobby). Majority of my cousins are 6 feet above but it seems like I wasn't blessed as they were with height. I've been praying since I was ### asking God to make me taller to a maximum height of 6'5" and at least height of 6'2". Indeed God answered my prayers but it was short lived for I stopped growing at my current age of ###, 5'7" (currently). I've been praying continuously even to a point of shedding tears because it hurts me saying my friends and cousins as big as angels and seeing myself as just the little guy in the group. I lost my mother a year ago. The last thing is said to her on a death bed months before she died was a promise. I promised her to be the best basketball player there ever lived because it was what bonded us close, she even called me her Michael Jordan😭, but because of my height I've been demotivated playing basketball due to the high risk of injury and amount of strength to push through my physical limit. I envy my Titan friends and wish to become as big as them, not only for my amusement, but to fulfill the promise I made to my mother. Please help me in prayer for my faith isn't mighty enough to convince God to answer my prayers, that's why I'm BEGGING for your 😔. Thank you

We hear your heart, and we understand the deep longing you carry—not just for height, but for the fulfillment of a promise made to your mother, for confidence in your abilities, and for the joy of the game that once bonded you so closely. Your pain is real, and we stand with you in prayer, lifting all of this before our Heavenly Father, who sees every tear and knows every desire of your heart.

First, we want to gently remind you that our worth and identity are not found in our physical stature, but in Christ. The Lord does not measure us by inches or accolades, but by the love He has poured into our hearts. Scripture tells us in 1 Samuel 16:7, "But Yahweh said to Samuel, 'Don’t look on his face, or on the height of his stature, because I have rejected him; for I don’t see as man sees. For man looks at the outward appearance, but Yahweh looks at the heart.'" Your height does not define your value, nor does it limit the plans God has for you. He has created you with purpose, and your promise to your mother can still be honored in ways you may not yet see.

We also want to encourage you to trust in God’s timing and sovereignty. Psalm 139:13-16 reminds us, "For you formed my inmost being. You knit me together in my mother’s womb. I will give thanks to you, for I am fearfully and wonderfully made. Your works are wonderful. My soul knows that very well. My frame wasn’t hidden from you, when I was made in secret, woven together in the depths of the earth. Your eyes saw my body. In your book they were all written, the days that were ordained for me, when as yet there were none of them." God knew your height before you were born, and He has a plan for you that transcends physical limitations. Your passion for basketball and your love for your mother are gifts from Him, and He can use them in ways that bring glory to His name.

We must also address the envy you feel toward your friends. Envy is a heavy burden, and it can steal our joy and peace. Proverbs 14:30 warns us, "The life of the body is a heart at peace, but envy rots the bones." Instead of focusing on what you lack, we encourage you to thank God for what He has given you—your health, your talent, your memories with your mother, and the opportunity to play the game you love. Gratitude shifts our perspective and opens our hearts to God’s blessings.

Now, let us pray together for you:

Heavenly Father, we come before You with heavy hearts, lifting up our brother who is struggling with his desire for greater height and the weight of a promise made to his mother. Lord, we ask that You would comfort him in his grief and remind him of Your unfailing love. Help him to see himself through Your eyes, as fearfully and wonderfully made, with a purpose that goes beyond physical appearance. We pray for peace to replace his envy and for gratitude to fill his heart.

Father, we ask that You would strengthen his faith and help him to trust in Your timing and Your plans. If it is Your will for him to grow taller, we ask that You would make a way. But if not, Lord, we pray that You would give him the courage and determination to play the game he loves with all his heart, using the gifts and abilities You have already given him. Help him to honor his mother’s memory not just through basketball, but through a life that reflects Your love and grace.

We rebuke any spirit of discouragement or doubt that seeks to steal his joy, and we declare that his identity is found in Christ alone. May he find his strength in You, Lord, and may his faith grow as he seeks You with all his heart. We ask all of this in the mighty name of Jesus, the name above every name, the only name by which we can come before You. Amen.

We encourage you to continue seeking God in prayer, not just for height, but for His will to be done in your life. Surrender your desires to Him, and ask Him to reveal His purpose for you. Remember, God’s plans are always greater than our own, and He can use even our struggles to bring about something beautiful. Keep playing basketball, not for the approval of others, but for the joy of the game and the love you shared with your mother. In time, you may find that your height is not a limitation, but a unique part of the story God is writing in your life.

We hear your heart, dear one, and we're right there with you in this journey. We understand the longing you have for growth, the desire to honor your mother's memory, and the struggle with envy. We want to encourage you with these words:

"Don't grow weary in your prayers, for God is faithful. He sees your tears and knows your heart's deepest desires. Remember, God doesn't see as we see, but looks at the heart (1 Samuel 16:7). Your worth is not defined by inches, but by the love God has poured into your heart.

We also want to remind you of the power of gratitude. Instead of focusing on what you lack, try thanking God for what He has given you - your health, your talents, your memories with your mother, and the joy of playing basketball. Gratitude shifts our perspective and opens our hearts to God's blessings.

Let's pray together:

Heavenly Father, we come before You today, lifting up our dear friend who is longing for growth. Lord, we ask that You would comfort him in his struggles and remind him of Your unfailing love. Help him to see himself through Your eyes, as fearfully and wonderfully made, with a purpose that transcends physical appearance.

We pray for peace to replace his envy, and for gratitude to fill his heart. We ask that You would strengthen his faith and help him to trust in Your timing and Your plans. If it is Your will for him to grow taller, we ask that You would make a way. But if not, Lord, we pray that You would give him the courage and determination to play the game he loves with all his heart, using the gifts and abilities You have already given him.

Help him to honor his mother's memory not just through basketball, but through a life that reflects Your love and grace. We rebuke any spirit of discouragement or doubt that seeks to steal his joy, and we declare that his identity is found in Christ alone. May he find his strength in You, Lord, and may his faith grow as he seeks You with all his heart. We ask all of this in the mighty name of Jesus, Amen.

Keep seeking God in prayer, not just for growth, but for His will to be done in your life. Surrender your desires to Him, and ask Him to reveal His purpose for you. God's plans are always greater than our own, and He can use even our struggles to bring about something beautiful. Keep playing basketball, not for the approval of others, but for the joy of the game and the love you shared with your mother. In time, you may find that your height is not a limitation, but a unique part of the story God is writing in your life.

Lord, we pray for this prayer and family for blessings healing and salvation. Heal and bless. May their lives be a praise and glory unto thee.
Come to the Lord's holy presence. Seek him with all your heart. Cling to his Word and meditate on it moment by moment by positive thoughts and joy in the heart (James 1:2-4), knowing that the Lord is good and to him be all the praise. Seek first God's kingdom and his righteousness (Matthew 6:33). Even though life may feel hard, the Lord's hand will be on you, and he will answer in his time. I am praying for you. Amen.
