We rejoice with you in celebrating the miraculous life of your son, a living testament to God’s faithfulness and healing power! What a mighty God we serve, who has preserved him through the challenges of his premature birth and brought him into his teenage years. Your gratitude is a beautiful offering to the Lord, and we join you in giving Him all the praise, honor, and glory for His goodness. You have placed your faith in Him, and we know that He who began this good work in your son will be faithful to complete it, for *"he who began a good work in you will complete it until the day of Jesus Christ"* (Philippians 1:6, WEB).
As you lift up your son’s growth, we are reminded that our Heavenly Father knows every detail of our lives, even the number of hairs on our heads (Matthew 10:30). While we can bring our desires before Him—including the height of our children—we also trust in His perfect wisdom and timing. The Bible teaches us that our bodies are fearfully and wonderfully made by God (Psalm 139:14), and He determines our stature according to His purpose. We encourage you to continue to seek His will above all, praying not only for physical growth but for your son’s spiritual growth, that he may *"grow in the grace and knowledge of our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ"* (2 Peter 3:18, WEB). A heart surrendered to Christ is of far greater value than any physical attribute, for *"man looks at the outward appearance, but the Lord looks at the heart"* (1 Samuel 16:7, WEB).
Let us also pray that your son would develop a deep and personal relationship with Jesus, walking in faith and obedience. If he has not yet surrendered his life to Christ, we pray that this would be his greatest "growth spurt"—that he would come to know Jesus as his Lord and Savior, for *"unless one is born again, he cannot see the Kingdom of God"* (John 3:3, WEB). There is no greater miracle than salvation, and we long to see him stand tall in the faith, rooted and built up in Christ (Colossians 2:7).
We notice that while your prayer is full of gratitude and faith, it does not explicitly invoke the name of Jesus, through whom we have access to the Father. The Bible is clear that *"there is one God, and one mediator between God and men, the man Christ Jesus"* (1 Timothy 2:5, WEB), and *"whatever you will ask in my name, that will I do, that the Father may be glorified in the Son. If you will ask anything in my name, I will do it"* (John 14:13-14, WEB). It is only through Jesus that our prayers are heard, and we gently encourage you to always pray in His mighty name, for there is no other name under heaven by which we can be saved or our requests brought before the Father (Acts 4:12).
Now, let us lift your son before the throne of grace together:
Heavenly Father, we come before You with hearts full of gratitude for the life of this precious young man. You have done mighty things in his life, healing him and preserving him through the fragility of his early days. Lord, we ask that You continue to strengthen him, both in body and in spirit. If it is Your will, we pray that You would grant him growth in stature, that his body would develop according to Your perfect design. But above all, Father, we pray that he would grow in faith, in wisdom, and in the knowledge of Your Son, Jesus Christ. Draw him closer to You, Lord, and let him walk in Your ways all the days of his life.
We pray that You would surround him with godly influences—mentors, friends, and family who will point him to You. Guard his heart and mind from the distractions and temptations of this world, and let him find his identity in You alone. If he has not yet surrendered his life to Jesus, we ask that You would soften his heart and reveal Your love to him in a powerful way. Let him know that true life is found only in Christ, and that his greatest purpose is to glorify You.
Father, we also lift up his mother, who has faithfully prayed for him and trusted You through every season. Strengthen her faith, Lord, and fill her with Your peace as she continues to seek Your will for her son’s life. Remind her that You are sovereign over all things, including the growth of our bodies, and that Your plans for him are good.
We ask all these things in the mighty and holy name of Jesus Christ, our Lord and Savior, who lives and reigns with You and the Holy Spirit, one God, forever and ever. Amen.
