Recent catastrophic floods and mudslides along the Nepal–Tibet border have brought devastating loss to communities where they hope to begin serving many new Moody Global Campus students. Authorities report hundreds of lives lost and thousands more missing as rescue efforts continue. These are not simply numbers. They are mothers and fathers, sons and daughters, pastors and church members—people created in God’s image and deeply loved by Him. I am asking you to join me in prayer for Nepal. Please pray for families grieving the loss of loved ones and for those still waiting for news of missing family members. Pray for pastors and churches as they care for survivors while carrying their own sorrow. Pray for rescue workers, relief organizations, and local believers who are bringing practical help and the hope of Christ to communities in crisis. Around the world, people are searching for hope, truth, and the assurance found only in Jesus Christ (John 16:33). The urgency of equipping believers and strengthening the Church has never been greater. Even in the midst of tragedy, we trust that God is at work, drawing people to Himself and using His people to shine the light of the Gospel. Please continue to lift up the people of Nepal in the days and weeks ahead, asking God to comfort the grieving, protect those who serve, and bring His peace to communities facing unimaginable loss.

We join you in deep sorrow and prayer for the people of Nepal and the communities along the Nepal Tibet border who have suffered such devastating loss from these floods and mudslides. We agree that these are not simply numbers but precious souls, mothers and fathers, sons and daughters, pastors and church members, each created in Gods image as Genesis 1:27 reminds us, and deeply loved by Him. Our hearts ache with those who grieve and with those still waiting for news of missing loved ones, and we lift them before the throne of grace together in Jesus name.

We are comforted to know that God draws near in such times of brokenness. Psalm 34:18 tells us Yahweh is near to those who have a broken heart, and saves those who have a crushed spirit, and Psalm 46:1 declares God is our refuge and strength, a very present help in trouble. Jesus Himself said in John 16:33, I have told you these things, that in me you may have peace. In the world you have oppression; but cheer up! I have overcome the world. Though the world is filled with trouble and sorrow, we cling to the promise that He has overcome and that He comforts those who mourn, for Matthew 5:4 says Blessed are those who mourn, for they shall be comforted. We also hold fast to the hope that even in tragedy God is at work, for Romans 8:28 assures us that all things work together for good for those who love God, to those who are called according to his purpose.

We pray together now for Nepal. Father in heaven, in the name of Jesus Christ Your Son, we come before You and ask for Your mercy and comfort to rest upon every family grieving the loss of loved ones and every heart anxiously waiting for news of the missing. Lord, wrap them in Your peace that surpasses all understanding and let them feel Your nearness. We ask You to strengthen pastors and churches as they care for survivors while carrying their own sorrow, that You would give them wisdom, endurance and Your comfort to share with others, just as 2 Corinthians 1:3-4 teaches that You are the Father of mercies and God of all comfort who comforts us in all our affliction. We lift up rescue workers, relief organizations and local believers who are bringing practical help and the hope of Christ to communities in crisis, asking for Your protection, strength and provision for them as they serve. We pray for the new Moody Global Campus students and all believers in that region, that You would equip them, strengthen Your Church, and let the light of the Gospel shine brightly even in this darkness, drawing many to the assurance found only in Jesus. We thank You that one day You will wipe away every tear, and death and mourning and pain will be no more as promised in Revelation 21:4, and we ask for a foretaste of that comfort now.

We encourage you and all who are praying to continue steadfastly in the days and weeks ahead, trusting that God hears and answers. The urgency of equipping believers and strengthening the Church has indeed never been greater, as people around the world are searching for hope and truth. Let us keep lifting up Nepal, asking God to comfort the grieving, protect those who serve, and bring His peace to communities facing unimaginable loss, confident that our hope rests securely in Jesus Christ alone, through whom we have access to the Father and eternal life.

We are grateful you brought Nepal before us with such care and clarity. You are right, these are not numbers but real people, families, pastors and congregations, each made in God's image and deeply loved by Him. We hear the weight you are carrying for those grieving, for those still waiting for word about loved ones, and for pastors who are trying to care for others while carrying their own sorrow.

Grief like this rarely moves in a neat line. It is often chaotic and deeply personal, with waves of shock, sorrow and exhaustion that come and go, and no two people walk through it the same way. That is part of why your call to simply mourn with those who mourn and keep praying in the weeks ahead matters so much. Shared sorrow does not remove the pain, but it helps carry it, and your steady intercession is a real form of care for people you may never meet.

We join you in continuing to lift them up as you asked, especially the families waiting for news and the local believers and rescue workers serving at great cost. If it helps, you might set a simple reminder to pray for Nepal at the same time each day in the coming weeks, and invite a few others in your church or small group to remember them with you so the burden stays shared.

Father, we bring the people of Nepal before You in Jesus' name. Comfort those who grieve, be near to those waiting for news, and strengthen pastors and rescue workers as they serve. Protect those bringing help and let Your peace be known in communities facing such loss. Amen.

May God in Jesus' name answer your prayer request according to God's perfect love, wisdom, will, timing, grace, and mercy. God is so in love with you. Be Encouraged!

God be with me as a mighty warrior. Let no weapon formed against me prosper. Protect me from all the plans of my enemies and the plans of the enemy of my soul. God, all that I have asked of You, in this prayer, please do the same for the writer of the prayer, all those who love and care about me, and all those I love and care about. God, please forever honor this prayer over each of our lives. God Thank You. Amen, so be it by faith, and by faith, it is so. Heal Me Lord Jesus Spirit, Soul, And Body

The sorrowful tidings from Nepal have moved our hearts, and we join you in carrying this heavy burden to the throne of grace. We have heard of the floods and mudslides upon the Nepal Tibet border, of hundreds lost and thousands still missing, and we remember that these are not numbers but souls made in the image of God, mothers and fathers, sons and daughters, pastors and flock, each known unto Him.

We take up your petitions and make them our own. We pray for families who grieve without measure and for those who wait in anguish for word of the missing, that the God of all comfort would draw near to the tearful eye and the aching heart. As it is written, Comfort ye, comfort ye my people, saith your God. Full oft the bright winged seraph is sent to comfort some desponding heart, and we ask that the Lord Himself would do so now in those valleys of sorrow.

We pray for pastors and churches who must care for survivors while bearing their own grief, that the Lord Jesus Christ Himself and God even our Father would comfort their hearts and stablish them in every good word and work. For comfort alone is not enough without constancy, and constancy cannot stand without comfort, and both must come from Him.

We pray for rescue workers, for relief organizations, and for local believers who bring practical help and the hope of Christ to communities in crisis, that the Lord would protect those who serve and give them strength to bear the trial and to make a way through it.

In such affliction we are reminded where peculiar comfort is to be found. This is my comfort in my affliction, for Thy word hath quickened me. It is not the letter only but the Spirit breathing through the Word which quickens and so comforts. May that Word be pressed to the bosom of the suffering, and may the Spirit teach each tried soul to say, This is my comfort now. And though misery be deep, we pray that it may be remembered as waters that pass away, for time is in His hand and eternity is brighter still.

We do not forget that in this world ye shall have tribulation, but Christ hath said, Be of good cheer, I have overcome the world. Even in tragedy we trust He is drawing sinners to Himself, and we join you in asking that He would shine the light of the Gospel through His people, that many searching for hope and truth and assurance would find it only in Jesus Christ.

We will continue to lift up the people of Nepal in the days and weeks ahead, asking the Lord to comfort the grieving, to preserve those who labour in mercy, and to pour His peace upon communities facing unimaginable loss.
