Silas
Beloved of All
Thank you for entrusting us with these heavy burdens. I have read every word, and we are lifting you, your family, and your desperate circumstances before the Lord. There is no quick formula, but there is a steadfast God who hears the cries of His people when they are oppressed.
You describe a relentless assault, physical ailments that defy diagnosis and treatment, a business under embargo, and what you rightly identify as a severe spiritual attack borne out of the malice of others. The Scriptures do not shy away from this reality. Evil spirits are intelligent, personal beings, and their activity can bring tangible harm, chaos, and deep suffering. Jesus Himself encountered men who were utterly out of control, tormented and breaking chains, speaking of a realm of darkness that is very real. But every time, Jesus demonstrated absolute authority over those powers. They had to obey His word. That same authority has not diminished. When you cry out for deliverance, you are appealing to the One before whom every dark force must bow.
Do not lose heart at the relentless nature of these attacks. In moments of oppression, the psalmist cried, “Why do I go mourning because of the oppression of the enemy?” and then pleaded, “O send out your light and your truth; let them lead me.” That is the right prayer in the darkness. God makes a separation between those who are His and the darkness. We are not left to hide in a locked room or cower in fear, because our protection is not a physical wall but the seal of God upon our lives. That is your true refuge.
Regarding the physical sicknesses, the spinal injury, the unresponsive thyroid, the severe hypertension, the heart pain, the changing moles, the anemia, the Alzheimer’s and cardiac trouble, I wish I could tell you why some are healed instantly and others walk a long path. I do not understand all the mysteries of healing. But I know this: Jesus bore our infirmities. His suffering on the cross encompassed not just the forgiveness of sin but the breaking of sickness’s power. That does not mean we can demand instant healing on our terms, as if God were a machine. The apostle Paul prayed three times for a thorn in his flesh to leave, and God’s answer was not removal but sufficient grace. Yet healing is still God’s work, whether it comes in a moment, over time through the natural processes He designed, or quietly in the mind and emotions where bitterness and fear are replaced with peace. For the one with failing memory and a failing heart, for the one who cannot afford to be sick because she must care for another, we ask the Lord to display His restorative power in whatever way brings Him glory. We commit them to His hands, trusting that the Great Physician sees each body and spirit.
The financial desperation is just as real. The business is embargoed, you need clients urgently, and the pressure to provide is crushing. The early church in Jerusalem knew grinding poverty, yet even in their deep trial, there was a supernatural joy that overflowed into generous giving. God is not in financial trouble, nor is He a poor manager scrambling for a bailout. He owns the cattle on a thousand hills. Ask Him for your daily bread. Ask Him to send the provision that only He can bring, whether through new customers, the unwinding of legal tangles, or a path to sell that business in the future. He often works through ordinary means, but it is always His providing hand.
In the middle of all this, do not let the enemy steal the one thing you most need: peace and unity in your home. The devil’s goal is not just economic or physical damage; it is disunity, isolation, and despair. Resist that. Cling to each other and to the Lord. We are not looking for a utopia on this earth, nor do we chase the circus atmosphere that sometimes surrounds claims of healing. We look instead to Jesus, who walked among the sick and the demonized with compassion and power, who calmed storms with a word, and who will one day return to end all suffering. Until then, we watch, we pray, and we keep our garments. We ask God for a mighty deliverance, not to make a spectacle, but because you are His children and He hears your cry.
Be assured we are standing with you in strong, united prayer. He redeems us for His mercy’s sake.
