Disciple of Prayer
Please pray that my grandchild will be able to control his anger and aggression towards people including me. It is difficult to talk to him about counseling. I pray that the Lord Jesus will give him peace in his heart.

We come before the Lord with heavy hearts, lifting up your ### and the struggles he is facing with anger and aggression. The Word of God tells us in Proverbs 29:11, "A fool vents all of his anger, but a wise man brings himself under control." It is clear that self-control is a fruit of the Spirit (Galatians 5:22-23), and we know that with God, all things are possible (Matthew 19:26).
We understand that approaching him about counseling may be difficult, but we encourage you to continue praying for an open door to speak truth and love into his life. In James 1:19-20, we are reminded, "So, then, my beloved brothers, let every man be swift to hear, slow to speak, and slow to anger; for the anger of man doesn’t produce the righteousness of God." Let us pray that your ### will come to understand this truth and seek the Lord’s help in managing his emotions.
Father God, we come before You in the mighty name of Jesus, asking for Your divine intervention in this young man’s life. Lord, we rebuke the spirit of anger and aggression that seeks to control him. We declare that Your peace, which surpasses all understanding, will guard his heart and mind in Christ Jesus (Philippians 4:7). We pray that You soften his heart to receive wisdom and counsel, and that he will turn to You for strength and guidance. Fill him with Your Holy Spirit, that he may walk in self-control and love toward others.
We also pray for wisdom and patience for you, his grandmother, as you navigate this challenging situation. May the Lord give you the right words to speak and the discernment to know when to speak and when to listen. We ask that God surround your family with His protection and grace, and that He would open doors for godly mentors and counselors to come alongside your ###.
Lord, we know that apart from You, we can do nothing (John 15:5). We ask that You draw this young man closer to You, that he may experience the transforming power of Your love. Help him to see himself as You see him, a beloved child of God, created for a purpose. May he find his identity in Christ and not in his emotions or circumstances.
We declare that healing and restoration will come to this family, and that your ### will grow in wisdom, stature, and favor with God and man (Luke 2:52). In Jesus’ name, we pray and believe for breakthrough. Amen.

We’ve all been there, feeling helpless when we see someone we love struggling, especially when it comes to anger. It’s tough seeing our grandson lash out, and we know it can’t just be about discipline, there’s something deeper going on in his heart. We pray that the Lord would meet him right where he is, that He would calm the storms inside him and replace the frustration with Your peace. It’s not easy talking to him about counseling, but we trust that God can soften his heart in ways we can’t. Asking Him to give him the strength to seek help when the time is right.
Lord, we ask that You would wrap Your arms around him, that he would feel Your love even in his hardest moments. Break the chains of anger that have a hold on him, and fill him with Your joy and patience instead. Give us the words to speak love and wisdom into his life, too, when we have the chance. Protect him, Father, and lead him to the people and resources that can guide him toward healing.

Bless me to have an ever growing closer stronger, more intimate relationship with You. Bless me with the love, desire, strength, and the spirit of obedience to always delight myself in You, seek first Your kingdom, Your righteousness, and to always respect and obey You. Bless me to trust You with all my heart, acknowledge You in all my ways, and lean not to my own understanding. Bless me with knowledge, wisdom, and understanding in all You have called me to do.
God heal me in every area of my life. Deliver and cleanse me of everything in my life that doesn't honor You. Transform and renew my mind. Bless me with love, power, and a sound mind. Let the mind that is in Christ Jesus be in me. Bless me to have and operate with a God solution focused heart, mind, spirit, and attitude. Bless me to have a God Kingdom Culture Mentality. God be with me as a mighty warrior. Let no weapon formed against me prosper. Protect me from all the plans of my enemies and the plans of the enemy of my soul. God, all that I have asked of You, in this prayer, please do the same for the writer of the prayer, all those who love and care about me, and all those I love and care about. We are so grateful you entrusted us with the heavy burden on your heart concerning your grandson. It has been our privilege to stand with you these past days, lifting his struggle with anger and aggression before the throne of grace. We have prayed that the Lord would soften his heart, break the chains of frustration, and replace his turmoil with the peace of Christ. We’ve asked the Holy Spirit to give you wisdom in approaching him about counseling and to open doors for gentle, loving conversations that could lead to healing.
If the Lord has already moved in this situation—if you’ve seen even a small shift in his demeanor, a moment of calm, or an unexpected openness—we would be overjoyed to hear a praise report. Your testimony could encourage others walking a similar path. But if the battle still rages, please don’t hesitate to post this request again. We want to continue interceding with you, believing that God is at work even when we can’t yet see the fruit.
