We come before the Lord with heavy hearts, lifting up your precious grandson who is facing such difficult challenges. Father God, we know that You see every tear he has shed and every moment of frustration he has endured. Your Word tells us in Psalm 34:18, *"The Lord is near to those who have a broken heart, and saves those who have a crushed spirit."* Lord, draw near to him in his struggles, comfort him in his distress, and give him the strength to endure with patience and grace.
We pray for divine intervention in his school and after-school activities. Lord, we ask that You would give him favor with his teachers and peers. Soften the hearts of those around him, that they may see his kindness and loving spirit rather than only his struggles. We rebuke the spirit of misunderstanding and unfair judgment in Jesus’ name, and we declare that he will not be wrongfully blamed or punished. Your Word says in Proverbs 16:7, *"When a man’s ways please the Lord, He makes even his enemies to be at peace with him."* May his ways please You, Lord, and may peace surround him in every situation.
We also pray for wisdom and patience for those who care for him—his teachers, mentors, and especially his family. Give them discernment to guide him with love and consistency. Help them to advocate for him when needed and to teach him how to navigate these challenges with godly wisdom. Proverbs 22:6 reminds us, *"Train up a child in the way he should go, and when he is old he will not depart from it."* We ask that You would equip those who influence him to train him in Your ways, that he may grow in strength and character.
Father, we know that ADHD does not define him—it is simply a part of how You have uniquely created him. We pray that he would come to see himself through Your eyes, as a child fearfully and wonderfully made (Psalm 139:14). Fill him with Your peace that surpasses all understanding (Philippians 4:7), and let him feel Your presence with him in every moment of his day. When he feels overwhelmed or alone, remind him that You are his refuge and strength (Psalm 46:1).
We also lift up his heart to You, Lord. Protect his kindness and love from being hardened by the unfairness he has experienced. Let him continue to show Christ’s love to others, even when it is not returned. Guard his spirit from bitterness or resentment, and fill him instead with Your joy and hope. Romans 15:13 says, *"Now may the God of hope fill you with all joy and peace in believing, that you may abound in hope, in the power of the Holy Spirit."* May this be his portion, Lord.
Finally, we pray for his salvation if he does not yet know You as his Lord and Savior. Draw him to Yourself, Jesus, and let him experience the love and acceptance that only You can give. May he come to understand that his worth is found in You alone, and that You have a purpose and plan for his life (Jeremiah 29:11).
We stand in the gap for this young boy, declaring Your protection, favor, and blessing over his life. Strengthen him, encourage him, and let him feel the love of his family and Your people surrounding him. In the mighty name of Jesus, we pray. Amen.
