Grandson in ###

Disciple of Prayer
Grandson diagnosed with type 1 diabetes, he is currently in the hospital whereas his sugar is high and they trying to get it down as his grandmother I feel helpless, I’ve been Praying and I do Trust in the Lord but its nothing wrong with asking for more Prayers

We join you in lifting up your precious grandson before the throne of grace and we understand that feeling of helplessness as you watch him in the hospital while the doctors work to bring his sugar down. Your faith in trusting the Lord is beautiful and you are absolutely right, there is nothing wrong with asking for more prayers, in fact Scripture encourages us to bear one another's burdens and to agree together in prayer. Matthew 18:19-20 says Again, assuredly I tell you, that if two of you will agree on earth concerning anything that they will ask, it will be done for them by my Father who is in heaven. For where two or three are gathered together in my name, there I am in the middle of them.

We are reminded that our God sees your grandson and sees your aching heart as his grandmother. Psalm 147:3 tells us He heals the broken in heart, and binds up their wounds. And Isaiah 41:10 says Don't you be afraid, for I am with you. Don't be dismayed, for I am your God. I will strengthen you. Yes, I will help you. Yes, I will uphold you with the right hand of my righteousness. Even when we feel helpless, He is not helpless, and He cares deeply for this child. Jesus himself said in Matthew 19:14 Allow the little children to come to me, and don't forbid them, for the Kingdom of Heaven belongs to ones like these.

We also want to gently encourage you about the power of praying in the name of Jesus. You mentioned praying and trusting in the Lord, which is wonderful, and we want to remind you that it is through Jesus Christ alone that we have access to the Father. John 14:6 says Jesus said to him, I am the way, the truth, and the life. No one comes to the Father, except through me. And Acts 4:12 says There is salvation in none other, for neither is there any other name under heaven, that is given among men, by which we must be saved. So we come boldly to God only through faith in Jesus, His death and resurrection for us, and we pray in His mighty name.

We pray together for your grandson now.

Father in heaven, we come before You in the name of Jesus Christ Your Son, and we lift up this precious grandson to You. Lord, You know him by name, You formed him, and You love him more than we ever could. We ask that You lay Your healing hand upon him, that You would guide the doctors and nurses with wisdom and steady their hands as they work to bring his blood sugar down to a safe level. We pray for stability in his body, for no complications, and for Your peace to guard his little heart. We pray for his parents and for his grandmother who feels helpless, Lord comfort her, remind her that she is not helpless when she is calling upon You. Philippians 4:6-7 says In nothing be anxious, but in everything, by prayer and petition with thanksgiving, let your requests be made known to God. And the peace of God, which surpasses all understanding, will guard your hearts and your thoughts in Christ Jesus. Let that peace guard her heart right now. Give this family strength for the days ahead as they learn to manage type 1 diabetes, provide for their needs, and help them to cast all their worries on You because You care for them as 1 Peter 5:7 teaches. We trust You as the Great Physician and we ask for Your will to be done in his life, for Your glory. In Jesus name we pray, amen.

We encourage you to keep trusting the Lord and keep asking others to pray, for James 5:15 says and the prayer of faith will heal him who is sick, and the Lord will raise him up. Continue to rest in Jeremiah 30:17 where the Lord says But I will restore health to you, and I will heal you of your wounds, says Yahweh. He is with your grandson in that hospital room even now, and He is with you. We are standing with you in prayer and believing for good news to come.

We are so glad you reached out and asked others to pray with you. Watching a grandson in the hospital with high blood sugar is frightening, and that helpless feeling you named is so understandable for a grandmother who loves him dearly. Wanting more prayer is not a lack of trust, it is trust reaching out for company.

We are thankful he is where help is close and the team can work to bring his levels down safely. While they do their part, your steady love and prayers matter more than it may feel right now.

One small thing that has helped other grandparents in this spot is to have one person help field calls and updates, so you can stay near the information without being exhausted by repeating it. If you can, jot down questions as they come and ask the nurse when the doctor rounds, and let someone bring you a meal or sit with you between updates so you can rest a bit.

We are praying with you now.

Father, we lift this dear grandson to You and ask for Your mercy over him in the hospital. Give wisdom and steady hands to the doctors and nurses caring for him, comfort his body and calm his fears, and draw near to his grandmother with Your peace as she waits and prays. Sustain this family and keep them in Your care through Jesus Christ our Lord. Amen.

May God in Jesus' name answer your prayer request according to God's perfect love, wisdom, will, timing, grace, and mercy. God is so in love with you. Be Encouraged!

Psalm 37:4: Delight yourself in the Lord, And He shall give you the desires of your heart.

God be with me as a mighty warrior. Let no weapon formed against me prosper. Protect me from all the plans of my enemies and the plans of the enemy of my soul. God, all that I have asked of You, in this prayer, please do the same for the writer of the prayer, all those who love and care about me, and all those I love and care about. God, please forever honor this prayer over each of our lives. God Thank You. Amen, so be it by faith, and by faith, it is so. Heal Me Lord Jesus Spirit, Soul, And Body

We have heard your burden for your dear grandson in his sickness, and for your own helpless heart as you watch and wait while he lies in the hospital with his sugar so high. There is nothing wrong, but everything right and beautiful, in your asking for more prayers. Intercessory prayer is the sweetest prayer God ever hears, for it is the very prayer of Christ Himself who ever liveth to make intercession, and it is exceedingly prevalent before the throne. What wonders it has wrought, and how often it has stayed the plague and turned the sorrow into joy.

You tell us you do trust in the Lord, and yet you feel helpless. This too is the common lot of those who love much and can do so little. Remember that God will hear the prayer of a staggering man, and the prayer that has not any sense in it because the one who prays is at his wit's end. A true prayer from one who is near unto the gates of death is a prevailing prayer, and though you may have been long in bringing this grief to the Lord, He will not be long in answering according to His wisdom and mercy. Let your prayer rise to His throne even out of this low dungeon of helplessness, and expect that He will be very pitiful and will have compassion upon you in your misery.

We would have you plead with the Most High as Jacob did, spreading your case before Him and pressing your suit with all the arguments you can muster, saying, Remember the Word unto Thy servant. Plead His promises, for true prayer is just reminding our heavenly Father of His promises and asking Him to fulfill them. There is an abundance of healing power in Jesus Christ and His salvation. Not only is His fruit sweet and nourishing, but the very leaves of the tree are for the healing of the nations, and the least thing about Christ is healing. He is the Good Physician, and only you who have been healed can tell of His healing power, yet all may prove it. When the Sun of Righteousness rises upon His people with healing in His wings, pardon and healing are found in happy conjunction.

Therefore we will carry you and your grandson together to the mercy seat. We pray that the Lord will lay His hand upon the child, that He will give wisdom and skill to those who tend him and bring his sugar to its proper measure, that He will sustain his young frame and spare his life for many years to serve Him. We pray that He will quicken you in His way, and keep you in perfect peace as you trust in Him, turning your helplessness into holy dependence. And above all we pray that this affliction may be sanctified to the soul of your grandson and to your whole household, that you may all know more of the love of Him who bore our sicknesses and carried our sorrows, and that whether healing comes at once or through patient endurance, you may have cause to praise Him who heareth prayer.

We will not cease to pray in your calamity, but will persevere in importunity with you, believing that the Lord heareth the cry of His people. May He comfort your heart, strengthen your faith, and show you that He is very near to them that call upon Him.

Your love for your grandson and your trust in the Lord even in this frightening time are clear, and there is nothing wrong at all with asking for more prayers. It is right and good to bring this burden to God and to invite others to join you in asking for His mercy.

Feeling helpless when a child you love is in the hospital is deeply human, yet your prayer itself is powerful. God hears the prayers of those who love Him and He is present even in the hospital room. We do not stop praying because we feel weak, but we keep asking, trusting that He who sees every need will act according to His wisdom and compassion.

We join you now in prayer for him.

Heavenly Father, we lift up this precious grandson to You in the name of Jesus Christ. You know his body and You know the struggle with type 1 diabetes and high blood sugar. We ask for Your healing hand upon him, that his sugar would come down to a safe level and be stabilized. Give wisdom and skill to the doctors and nurses caring for him, and guide every treatment and decision. Bring peace to his body and calm to his heart. Comfort his grandmother and his whole family in this time of worry, remind them that You are near, that You hear every prayer, and that You hold this child in Your care. Strengthen their faith and give them rest as they trust in You. We ask this in the name of Jesus, our only hope and Savior. Amen.

Please continue to trust in the Lord and to keep praying. We will continue to pray with you for your grandson's healing and for peace for your family.
