Thank you for sharing your heart and asking for prayer. God hears you when you call on Him, and His thoughts toward you are thoughts of peace and not of evil, to give you hope and a future. When you feel captive to anxiety or stress, it can seem like He has forgotten you, but He has not. He invites you to call upon Him and to pray to Him, and He promises to listen.
The first step to the peace you are asking for is peace with God, and that only comes through Jesus Christ. Through His blood He made peace between us and God, ending the war that sin creates. When you turn your life over to Jesus and receive His forgiveness, the fighting against God and running from God is over. That is why Scripture says there is no peace for those who continue in rebellion, but to those who are far off and to those who are near, God says peace, peace, I will heal you. He offers healing and forgiveness and restoration to all who come to Him.
Then there is the peace of God that guards your daily life. The Bible promises that God will keep in perfect peace the one whose mind is stayed on Him, because that person trusts in Him. Jesus said, Peace I leave with you, my peace I give to you, not as the world gives. The peace the world gives depends on circumstances, but His peace passes all understanding and keeps your heart and mind through Christ. In a world full of chaos and turmoil, that peace comes as you keep your eyes and thoughts on Him, trusting that He will take care of what concerns you.
You also asked for healing. God is a healer, and every healing is from Him, whether it comes instantly or gradually, whether through a touch, a word, or the natural processes He built into our bodies. Sometimes He heals the body in a moment, sometimes over time, and sometimes He brings deep healing to the mind and emotions, healing wounds and scars within. We do not understand why some are healed quickly and others are not, and we cannot put Him in a pattern, but we know He is able and He is compassionate, and He invites us to bring every need to Him.
He wants you to live in peace and not in constant worry, fear and stress. The wisdom that comes from above is peaceable, and it leads to peace within your own heart, which then helps you live at peace with others. Those who sow in peace reap a harvest of righteousness. The Lord wants to ordain peace for you and to free you from the cares and pressures of this life. As you bring your anxieties to Him in prayer with thanksgiving, His peace will stand guard over your heart and mind.
I am praying for you now. Father, thank You for Your mercy and grace. I bring this dear one before You who is asking for healing, for peace, and for freedom from anxiety and stress. Lord, first grant peace with You through Jesus Christ, and then let the perfect peace that passes understanding fill the heart and mind. Calm the storm within as You once said to the wind and waves, Peace, be still. Touch and heal as You see fit, whether in body, mind or spirit, and let Your healing and restoring power be known. Keep this mind stayed on You today, take away fear, and give a good day lived in fellowship with You. Help this one to cast every care on You and to know You are near. In the name of Jesus, Amen.
