Gods will and ways for ###s heart and mind ♥️♥️♥️

Servant of All
Heavenly Father,

Thank you for your goodness and for hearing my prayers. I praise you for opening this door and leading us to connect through our video call. Thank you for guiding our steps and bringing ### into my life.

Lord, I commit this new relationship into your hands. I ask that your will and your ways be done above all else. Please touch ###’s heart and mind. Make me his PRIORITY. Stir a genuine romance and a deep spark within him toward me. If it is your will, let this relationship grow deep and serious, to the point where he openly and out loud declares his love for me. I pray that he sees the value in me, feels a true connection, and views me as a perfect fit for his life.

I pray that you shape him into a man with the heart of a provider—someone who is kind, loving, and ready to be a wonderful partner to me and a loving stepdad to my boys. I ask that you make a way for him to visit me soon.

Father, I lay my deepest desires before you: our future together, marriage, a petition to join him in America, and a united family with my boys as his stepsons. I trust these dreams to your perfect timing and your perfect plan. Guide our steps, protect our hearts, and let your peace lead us every day.

In Jesus' name, I pray.

Amen.

We hear your heart’s longing and lift it before the Lord, seeking His perfect will for you and ###. First, we rejoice that you acknowledge Jesus as your Lord and Savior, for it is only through Him that we have access to the Father (John 14:6). We pray that your trust in His timing and plan deepens, even as you wait for His answers.

Father God, we come before You with this request, asking that Your will be done in ###'s heart and mind, not our own desires. You tell us in Proverbs 3:5-6, "Trust in Yahweh with all your heart, and don’t lean on your own understanding. In all your ways acknowledge him, and he will make your paths straight." Lord, we ask that You align ###'s heart with Yours, that he would seek You first in all things (Matthew 6:33). If this relationship is Your design, we pray it would grow in godliness, purity, and purpose, with marriage as its foundation, not merely romance or temporary affection.

We must gently address a concern in this prayer. While it is natural to desire love and commitment, Scripture warns us against making another person the object of our idolatry. You asked God to make you ###'s "priority" and to "stir a genuine romance" within him, but we must remember that our ultimate priority is Christ alone (Luke 10:27). A godly man’s first devotion must be to the Lord, and only then can he love a woman as Christ loves the Church (Ephesians 5:25). We rebuke any spirit of manipulation or control in this request, for love is not self-seeking (1 Corinthians 13:5). Instead, we pray that ### would grow into a man after God’s own heart, one who leads with humility, serves with sacrifice, and loves with Christlike devotion.

Lord, if this relationship is Your will, we ask that You prepare both hearts for marriage, a covenant before You, not just a partnership. We pray against any temptation toward impurity, for "marriage is honorable in all, and the bed undefiled; but God will judge the sexually immoral and adulterers" (Hebrews 13:4). If ### is to be a husband and stepfather, let him be a man who fears You, provides for his family, and raises children in Your ways (Ephesians 6:4). We also pray for wisdom regarding the practical challenges of relocation and family unity, trusting that You open doors no man can shut (Revelation 3:8).

Father, we surrender this relationship to You. If it is not Your will, we ask for the grace to accept Your "no" as protection, not punishment. Let Your peace guard their hearts (Philippians 4:7), and may both seek You above all else. We declare that Your plans are for good, to give hope and a future (Jeremiah 29:11).

In Jesus’ mighty name, we pray:
"Lord, search our hearts and know our thoughts. See if there is any wicked way in us, and lead us in the way everlasting (Psalm 139:23-24). Shape ### into a man who loves You first, and if this relationship is Your design, let it reflect Your glory. Protect them from temptation, guide their steps, and let Your will be done. We trust You, Father, for You alone know what is best. Amen."

We're grateful you've shared these hopes with us, it's clear how much you desire a relationship that honors God and a future where you and your boys are deeply cherished. That longing for someone to see your worth and move toward you with intention is so understandable, and we join you in bringing it all to the One who knows every detail.

While you wait and pray, one steady support can be inviting a mature Christian friend or mentor into this. Someone who knows you well can help you stay grounded, offer honest perspective, and pray with you as the relationship unfolds. Because your boys are part of the picture, taking things slowly now builds a stronger foundation. When the time is right, pre-engagement counsel that thoughtfully addresses blended-family dynamics can be a wise next step, your church or a local Christian counselor can often recommend good resources.

Above all, your own trust in God's timing and goodness is unfolding through this. He isn't distant; He sees your heart, your boys, and every detail of this man's life. Keep pouring out your desires as you already are, while resting in the truth that you are deeply loved and never forgotten, no matter how things move forward.

Lord, we lift up these honest hopes to You. Guide this relationship according to Your will, and give her clarity, peace, and patience along the way. Guard her heart and her boys, and shape in this man a kindness and integrity that reflect Your heart. We trust You with every step. In Jesus' name, amen.

It is a blessed thing to bring every desire before the throne of grace, yet mark how this prayer, though lifted in Jesus’ name, breathes the language of “I will” and “make me.” You have laid out a plan for the Almighty as though He were a servant to your timetable: “Make me his priority,” “Stir a romance,” “Declare his love openly,” “Make a way for him to visit,” and then marriage and a petition for a new land. Where in this heap of requests is the heart quietly yielding to the will of Him who gives and takes away? Have you forgotten the axle of the universe? It is not your will, but His, that turns all things. Let me put it plainly: a true daughter of Zion does not take hold of the covenant promise of a new heart merely to dictate how God must write upon it the name of a creature. When the Lord writes His law within, He makes us to approve whatever He appoints. And that appointing may not be the smooth path you have sketched. It may be that the Lord, in His wisdom, wills a disappointment, a delay, a closed door. Will you then say, “Not so, Lord”? That is a dangerous posture for any child of grace.

Consider whether this man has yet become an idol in the chamber of your soul. You ask God to touch his heart, to make him a provider, a lover, a stepfather, all good things in their place, but has your own heart first been given, thoroughly and without reserve, to the heavenly Bridegroom? The only marriage that never fails, that satisfies the deepest ache, is the mystical union between Christ and His Church. Before you set your hope on a man to fill the empty spaces, be certain that Christ Himself is your chief treasure. A heart halved, divided between Christ and a creature, is a dead heart indeed. I do not say it is wrong to desire a godly husband; but if that desire has grown so large that it directs your petitions with such minute exactness, it may be that you have set up a project for your own glory rather than God’s. And when the project withers, what then? You will have no more strength than a vapor.

Remember, too, that the natural heart is deceitful above all things. You cannot trust its impulses, nor can that man trust his. It is not by the force of your pleading that a genuine spark is kindled. God’s own heart is the source of every blessing. He does not save, nor does He bestow temporal mercies, because we have bent His arm; He acts for His own name’s sake. If it pleases Him to write His love upon that man’s heart toward you, He can do it in a moment. But He will do it, if at all, not because you have demanded to be made a priority, but because in His sovereign goodness He purposes to do you good. Better far to lie low at the foot of the cross and cry, “Lord, I leave everything to Thee, all the way from earth to heaven, and I will be content to live only a day at a time. If this cup passes from me, yet not my will, but Thine be done.” That is the cry of the new heart; that is the echo of a soul who knows that the King does as He pleases.

Lay this whole matter before the throne, but lay it as a sacrifice, not a shopping list. Give your heart, with all its longings, back to Him who bought it. Should He grant you a husband of His choosing, it will be a sweet mercy; should He deny it, He will be your portion and exceeding great reward. I charge you now, do not go on trying to amend the arrangements of the great Father. He is too wise to err, too good to be unkind. He will strengthen your heart for whatever path He marks out. And if you have indeed laid hold of the covenant, that He gives a new heart and a right spirit, then prove it by this: that you can walk humbly, putting no confidence in the flesh, and with both hands open before Him who knows what you need before you ask.

May God in Jesus' name answer your prayer request according to God's perfect love, wisdom, will, timing, grace, and mercy. God is so in love with you. Be Encouraged!

Psalm 37:4: Delight yourself in the Lord, And He shall give you the desires of your heart.
Matthew 6:33: But seek first the kingdom of God and His righteousness, and all these things shall be added to you.

Heal Me Lord Jesus Spirit, Soul, And Body

You pour out many words before God, yet take heed, for you are thoughtful about your own interests as a man is thoughtful, and you leave little room for God to provide as God. He who is anxious for the shape of the morrow ties the hands of Providence. Did not the apostle say, "Be careful for nothing"? Cast this whole matter upon the Lord; stop directing the steps, stop demanding a spark, a declaration, a priority. What is this but to set yourself as the author of your own story? Leave it to Him alone, and He will make provision for it, if it is for your soul's health. But if you keep taking it in hand, He will let you struggle with your own thorns.

You ask for romance, for a man's heart to be stirred toward you. But what is this you seek? Marriage is honorable and a bond ordained by God, yet it is not the thing itself that brings holiness, but the purpose with which you enter it. Use marriage with moderation, and you shall be first in the kingdom. But if you fill your mind with dreams of a future of your own making, a move across the sea, a united family, you have already left moderation behind. The heart that frets and schemes has little leisure for the service of God.

You pray that he become a provider, a kind stepfather. That is a good petition, for one who does not provide for his own is worse than an infidel. But where is your own provision for your soul and for those little ones? While you watch for a video call and long for a visit, have you made their souls and your own the first care? The widow who is truly dedicated to God gives herself to prayer and to every good work, not to anxious plotting about a new household. I do not condemn second marriage, let no one say that, but it must be only in the Lord, with chasteness, with gravity. You do not yet know if this man is "in the Lord" in such a way that the marriage will preserve the holiness that comes from faith. If he were to bid you compromise godliness, it would be better the bond were never formed.

Consider the custom of marriage: it is a sweet ointment, filled with chasteness and order. But you have introduced the foul stench of the world's anxiety into the preparation. All this talk of priority, of spark, of a perfect fit, these are the mockeries of those who treat marriage as a romance of the marketplace, not a sober union before God. A virgin or a widow who hopes in the Lord does not go out dancing in her thoughts, chasing after signs and feelings. Let gravity be your adornment.

Do not mishear me: I do not forbid you to desire a husband and a father for your boys. But I do say, do not command the outcome as if God were your servant. Lay your desire at His feet and then be still. If it be His will, He will kindle what is needed, and you will know it by peace, not by the striving of your own heart. Until then, seek the face of Christ, provide for your household the bread of virtue, and let not your mind be divided. For a married woman cares for the things of the world, how she may please her husband; but you are not yet married. Use this hour to attend upon the Lord without distraction, and thus you will be truly prepared for whatever He gives.

I hear the deep longing in your words, the ache for a godly partner and a father for your boys. It is good to bring these desires to the throne of grace, and our Father welcomes you. Yet I want to help you test these prayers against the standard of Scripture, so that your path remains clear and your peace secure.

You ask God to stir a spark and make you this man’s top priority, even that he would declare his love openly. But notice that the flame of romance is a gift designed to burn on the altar of marriage alone. The apostle tells us that to avoid immorality each man should have his own wife and each woman her own husband. That means the pursuit of a “spark” outside the shelter of a covenanted union risks stirring desires that cannot yet be rightly satisfied. Rather than praying for a romantic urgency, pray that God would guard both of you in purity until, and only if, He leads you into a marriage that honors Christ from the beginning.

You also ask that this man be shaped into a kind provider and a wonderful stepdad. That is a noble hope, but the foundation must come first. Is he a believer? You pray for God to touch his heart, which suggests he may not yet share your faith. If that is the case, then the clearest word from Scripture is that you are not free to yoke yourself to him in marriage. A believing wife can sanctify an unbelieving husband if they are already married, but you are not. Walking into a covenant where Christ is not the center is to set your own will above His command. Pray fervently for his salvation, pray that God would open his eyes to the gospel, but do not give your heart to a future that requires disobedience. Your sons need a stepfather who will lead them toward Jesus, not merely fill an earthly role.

Take a breath and reconsider the way you are framing this request. Instead of asking God to make the man see you as a perfect fit and make him declare his love, lay those demands down. Tell the Lord, “Your will be done. If this man is not meant to be my husband, close the door gently and give me contentment in You alone.” A life lived godly in Christ will sometimes bring the quiet sorrow of letting a relationship go, and that is no failure. It is the road of faithfulness.

Remember the beauty of what marriage truly is: two becoming one, a compound unity that displays Jesus and His church. That oneness is not summoned by our insistence on being a priority; it is built as two people submit to Christ and to one another. If God intends for you to marry again, He will not need you to manufacture a man’s affection across the miles. He will order the steps in His time, in a way that allows your boys to see a pattern of righteousness, not compromise.

Continue to pray, but let your primary cry be, “Lord, purify my heart and make me who You want me to be, regardless of whether a husband comes.” Entrust your boys to the only perfect Father. As you wait, know that God’s mercy is not withholding, it is shaping you for a hope that will never disappoint.
