Gods will and ways for ###s heart and mind ♥️♥️♥️

Servant of All
Heavenly Father,

Thank you for your goodness and for hearing my prayers. I praise you for opening this door and leading us to connect through our video call. Thank you for guiding our steps and bringing ### into my life.

Lord, I commit this new relationship into your hands. I ask that your will and your ways be done above all else. Please touch ###’s heart and mind. Make me hi PRIORITY. Stir a genuine romance and a deep spark within him toward me. If it is your will, let this relationship grow deep and serious, to the point where he openly and out loud declares his love for me. I pray that he sees the value in me, feels a true connection, and views me as a perfect fit for his life.

I pray that you shape him into a man with the heart of a provider—someone who is kind, loving, and ready to be a wonderful partner to me and a loving stepdad to my boys. I ask that you make a way for him to visit me soon.

Father, I lay my deepest desires before you: our future together, marriage, a petition to join him in America, and a united family with my boys as his stepsons. I trust these dreams to your perfect timing and your perfect plan. Guide our steps, protect our hearts, and let your peace lead us every day.

In Jesus' name, I pray.

Amen.

We hear your heart’s longing and lift it before the Lord with compassion, yet we must also speak truth in love as Scripture commands. Your prayer reveals a deep desire for a godly marriage and family, which is beautiful and honorable before God. However, we must address several concerns that do not align with biblical principles.

First, your prayer places a heavy emphasis on your own desires, asking God to make you a priority in this man’s life, to stir romance within him, and to shape him into a provider for you and your children. While it is natural to desire companionship, Scripture warns us against seeking our own will above God’s. James 4:3 says, "You ask and do not receive, because you ask wrongly, to spend it on your passions." Instead, we should pray for God’s will to be done in our lives, trusting that His plans are higher than ours (Isaiah 55:8-9). Marriage is a sacred covenant, not a means to fulfill personal longings. We must surrender our desires to God and seek His wisdom in all things.

Second, your request assumes this relationship is already moving toward marriage, yet there is no mention of whether this man is a believer in Christ. Scripture is clear that we are not to be unequally yoked with unbelievers (2 Corinthians 6:14). If he does not share your faith, this relationship cannot honor God. We must pray for godly discernment and wait on the Lord’s timing, not our own.

Third, your prayer does not address the importance of purity in this relationship. If you are already emotionally or physically intimate outside of marriage, this is sin in God’s eyes (1 Corinthians 6:18-20). We must flee from sexual immorality and honor God with our bodies. If this man is not your husband, you must guard your heart and set boundaries that reflect God’s standards.

Lastly, while you close your prayer in Jesus’ name, we must remind you that salvation comes only through faith in Him. If you or this man have not surrendered your lives to Christ, we urge you to do so. Jesus said, "I am the way, the truth, and the life. No one comes to the Father except through me" (John 14:6). Without Him, we have no access to God’s blessings or eternal life.

Let us pray together:

Heavenly Father, we come before You with humble hearts, seeking Your will above all else. Lord, we lift up this sister and her desires for marriage and family. We ask that You would align her heart with Yours, that she may seek Your kingdom first and trust in Your perfect timing. Father, if this man is not the one You have chosen for her, we pray for clarity and peace to release him into Your hands. If he is a believer, we ask that You would grow their relationship in purity and godliness, with marriage as the ultimate goal.

Lord, we rebuke any spirit of impatience or selfish ambition in this situation. We ask that You would guard her heart from emotional entanglements that do not honor You. Help her to walk in holiness, setting boundaries that reflect Your standards. Father, if this man is not a believer, we pray that You would draw him to Yourself, that he may come to know Jesus as his Savior. If he is already a believer, we ask that You would mature him in faith and prepare him to be a godly husband and stepfather.

We pray for Your will to be done in this situation, not ours. Give her the strength to surrender her desires to You, trusting that Your plans are for her good. Surround her with godly counsel and wisdom as she navigates this season. May she find her ultimate fulfillment in You, not in a relationship.

In Jesus’ name, we pray. Amen.

We encourage you to seek God’s will above your own desires. Spend time in prayer and Scripture, asking the Lord to reveal His plans for your life. If this man is not a believer, we urge you to step back and pray for his salvation first. If he is a believer, take time to discern whether this relationship is honoring to God. Remember, marriage is a lifelong commitment, and it should only be entered into with a man who shares your faith and values. Trust in the Lord’s timing, and do not rush into anything that does not align with His Word.

Thank you for sharing your heart with such honesty. We can hear how much you long for a man who will truly see you, love your boys, and build a life together that honors God. Those desires are real, and it’s not wrong to bring them before the One who shaped your heart.

One thing we’ve seen often is that when our emotions race ahead, it helps to slow our own pace enough to let real character emerge. Chemistry and excitement can be a gift, but the qualities you most need in a husband and stepfather, quiet dependability, sacrificial patience, the grit to stick around when things get hard, rarely reveal themselves quickly, and they’re best tested in person, not through a screen. No video call can show how a man handles frustration, carries daily responsibilities, or treats your children when you’re not in the room.

So we’d gently encourage you to guard your heart by letting reality build the foundation. If he is the man God has for you, nothing is lost by moving steadily, praying for real-life time together, and letting trusted friends speak into what they see. You aren’t asking God to overrule his will, you’re asking him to confirm it. He is faithful to give you the clarity you need in his time.

We’re praying with you now:

Lord Jesus, you see this sister’s ache for a lasting love and a united family. Quiet her spirit with your peace, even while she waits. Give her the wisdom to notice the fruit of this man’s life and not just his words. Protect her and her boys from disappointment and harm. And if it is your good and perfect will, open the right doors at the right time, and make your direction unmistakable. We trust you for her future, in your name, amen.

Your prayer has been laid before the throne of grace, yet I must ask you to examine your heart by the light of God’s Word. You have asked the Lord to touch a man’s mind and heart, to make you his priority, to stir a deep spark of romance, to cause him to declare his love and see you as a perfect fit. Is this the language of one who bows to the will of God, or of one who would take the reins of Providence into her own hands? Hear what is written: “Ye ought to say, If the Lord will, we shall live, and do this, or that” (James 4:15). But the carnal mind is ever saying, “We will go, we will continue, we will buy, we will sell, we will get gain.” It is folly to feel that we can propose and dispose without asking God’s consent. Have you not, in effect, dictated your own plan to the Almighty, prescribing the very feelings of another man’s soul? That is a power God has reserved to Himself alone.

Salvation, and all that comes with it, hinges upon the will of God and not upon the will of man. We cannot command affections, nor bend another’s heart to suit our longing. Even in the smallest matters, a sparrow falls not to the ground without our Father, and the very hairs of your head are numbered. Shall we not trust Him with the larger desires of the heart? You cry for an earthly love to be made your priority; but the Lord Jesus must be your chief Love, or every other affection will grow idolatrous. He is a jealous Lover, He will have all our love, or He will bring us into such straits that we are compelled to seek Him first. I do not condemn your wish for marriage and a father for your boys, for these are honourable. Yet I say: set not your soul upon them. If Christ is not enough for you, no husband will ever be enough.

Consider also: when we pray, “Thy will be done,” we are not merely uttering words; we are surrendering the very core of our desires. The Lord does all things according to the counsel of His own will, and His will is always love to His people. Sometimes that love comes in the form of a withheld mercy, a closed door, a long silence. If He chastens by disappointment, it is love. If He smiles and grants the desire, it is love. But in every case, He is working to purify you and to make Christ more precious to your soul. Would you have it otherwise? Would you rather have the idol than the Idol-Breaker?

I urge you, then, to go again before your Father, not with a list of demands for this man’s heart, but with a heart fully resigned. Say, “Not my will, but Thine be done.” Seek to love God’s Law and His providential will so deeply that nothing can offend you, neither delay nor denial. The soul that loves the Word of God finds it a ceaseless stream of consolation, sufficient for poverty, sickness, slander, and even unrequited longing. Lay your boys, your future, and this desire at the feet of Jesus. If He gives this man to you, it will be sweet. If He withholds, He Himself will be Husband to the widow and Father to the fatherless. Let the love of Christ, which passeth knowledge, fill you now, and leave His own secret workings in another’s heart to His sovereign mercy.

May God in Jesus' name answer your prayer request according to God's perfect love, wisdom, will, timing, grace, and mercy. God is so in love with you. Be Encouraged!

Psalm 37:4: Delight yourself in the Lord, And He shall give you the desires of your heart.
Matthew 6:33: But seek first the kingdom of God and His righteousness, and all these things shall be added to you.

Heal Me Lord Jesus Spirit, Soul, And Body

You have laid your desires before God with many words, but I see a heart anxious and full of plans, dictating even the very thoughts of another man as if the Lord were an errand-runner for your affections. What did the Apostle say? “He that is married careth for the things of the world, how he may please his wife,” and yet you would add to that a burden of demands before any marriage is given. You ask that his heart be touched and that you be made his priority, as though God were a maker of love-potions and not the Fashioner of free souls. What sort of faith is this, that tries to command the secret workings of the heart from the Almighty, as if He must bend a man’s will to your convenience?

Consider rather the example of the faithful servant of Abraham, who when sent to find a wife for Isaac did not stand before God with a list of qualities and demands, but prayed, “Whomsoever Thou wilt do Thou provide.” He left the matter entirely in God’s hands, and God honored that trust. You, on the contrary, have written the story yourself: a deep spark, a declaration of love, a visit, a petition for America, a husband shaped into a provider and stepfather. Where is the room for God’s will in all this? You say “if it is your will,” but immediately you fill that space with your own will, leaving no silence for God to speak.

I urge you: cease from this over-carefulness. Be not thoughtful about your interests as a man, but leave them to God. If you take them in hand with such anxious precision, He will not much provide for them. Instead, seek first what is needful for your soul and the souls of your boys. If you truly desire a husband, pray not for the satisfaction of your own design, but say: “Lord, You know what manner of man will lead me and my children nearer to Your kingdom; provide such a one as pleases You.” Seek not a man of wealth or a ready-made provider, but one of piety, gentleness, and the true fear of God, even if he be poor. For a marriage built on these things is a protection, not slavery. What shall it profit you to gain a declaration of love and lose the peace of a godly home? What pleasure will it bring to have a man shaped to your wish, if his soul is not shaped by virtue?

And do not imagine that marriage itself is the summit of holiness. It is honorable and pure, but it does not of itself confer holiness; rather it preserves that holiness which comes from faith, so long as we use the world as not abusing it. If you pour all your longing into this earthly hope, you make an idol of a relationship and neglect the husbandry of your own soul. First, be yourself a woman of gravity, orderliness, and virtue, providing for your household and especially your own children in the fear of God. For she who is careless of those nearest her is worse than an unbeliever. Then, if it be God’s good pleasure, He will bring a man who is truly a head and protector, not a master for your vanity.

Commit the matter into God’s hands without these detailed prescriptions. Beseach Christ to be present in your waiting, and He will not be ashamed to stand with you, for marriage is a mystery of His presence. Stop trying to steer the heart of another; leave it to God. His will and ways for another man’s heart and mind are His own secret business, not yours to dictate. Pray only that His will be done in you all, and then be at peace, guarding your own mind with thankfulness and chastity.
