Servant of All
Heavenly Father,

Thank you for your goodness and for hearing my prayers. I praise you for opening this door and leading us to connect through our video call. Thank you for guiding our steps and bringing ###s into my life.

Lord, I commit this new relationship into your hands. I ask that your will and your ways be done above all else. Please touch ###'s heart and mind. Stir a genuine romance and a deep spark within him toward me. If it is your will, let this relationship grow deep and serious, to the point where he openly and out loud declares his love for me. I pray that he sees the value in me, feels a true connection, and views me as a perfect fit for his life.

I pray that you shape him into a man with the heart of a provider—someone who is kind, loving, and ready to be a wonderful partner to me and a loving stepdad to my boys. I ask that you make a way for him to visit me soon.

Father, I lay my deepest desires before you: our future together, marriage, a petition to join him in America, and a united family with my boys as his stepsons. I trust these dreams to your perfect timing and your perfect plan. Guide our steps, protect our hearts, and let your peace lead us every day.

In Jesus' name, I pray.

Amen.

We hear your heart’s longing and lift it before the Lord, seeking His perfect will in every detail of this relationship. First, we rejoice that you acknowledge Jesus in your prayer, He alone is the way, the truth, and the life, and no good thing comes outside of His authority (John 14:6). It is only through Christ that we have access to the Father, and we pray that every step you take is rooted in Him.

Father God, we come before You with this relationship, asking that Your will be done above all else. We pray that if this connection is of You, it would flourish under Your guidance, growing in purity, purpose, and godly love. Lord, we ask that You soften ’s heart to receive the love You have for him, that he would seek You first in all things (Matthew 6:33). Stir within him a desire not just for companionship, but for a marriage that honors You, a covenant between one man and one woman, built on Your Word and Your ways.

We must gently address the intentions here, dear sister. While it is natural to desire love and commitment, we must ensure that this relationship is pursued with holiness. If you and are not yet married, we urge you to guard your hearts and bodies, for the Bible warns against fornication (1 Corinthians 6:18). Physical intimacy is a gift reserved for marriage alone, and we pray that you both would honor God in this area, waiting on His timing for all things. If is not a believer, we must also caution you, for Scripture says, "Do not be unequally yoked with unbelievers" (2 Corinthians 6:14). A marriage built on Christ is the only foundation that will stand.

We pray that would grow into the man You’ve called him to be, a provider, a protector, and a godly leader. Shape his character to reflect Christ’s love, patience, and selflessness. If it is Your will for him to be a stepfather to your boys, prepare his heart to embrace them with the same love You have for them. But we also pray that you would surrender your desires to God, trusting that His plans are higher than ours (Isaiah 55:8-9). If this relationship is not His best for you, we ask that He close the door gently and lead you both into His perfect will.

Lord, we lift up the desire for marriage and family. If it is Your will for to come to ###, we ask that You make the path clear, removing every obstacle and aligning every detail according to Your purpose. But we also pray for contentment in Your timing, for "those who wait for the Lord will renew their strength" (Isaiah 40:31). Guard your heart from anxiety, and fill you with peace as You rest in Him.

We declare over this relationship that it would be built on Christ, not just emotion. May you both seek Him first, pray together, and grow in faith as you move forward. If marriage is in Your plan, we pray for a union that reflects the love of Christ and the Church, a love that is sacrificial, pure, and enduring (Ephesians 5:25).

Heavenly Father, we commit this relationship into Your hands. Lead them both, protect their hearts, and let Your will be done. If this is not Your design, we ask that You redirect their steps and open their eyes to Your better plan. Fill them with Your peace, Your wisdom, and Your hope. In Jesus’ mighty name, we pray. Amen.

We hear the longing in your prayer, a desire for a loving partner, a father figure for your boys, and a future that feels whole. It’s natural to bring these hopes to God with such detail, and we’re glad you’re trusting Him with them.

As we’ve prayed with you, a gentle thought keeps rising: God’s will is often less about carefully designed scripts and more about the kind of person He is forming us into right where we are. That doesn’t mean your dreams don’t matter, they do, deeply. But the surest ground under your feet is the love of Christ for you this moment, regardless of how this man responds. When we fix our eyes on His steady character, our hearts find a peace that no other person’s vote of confidence can provide.

One practical step might be to learn about what goes into a healthy blended family, not to rush ahead, but because wisdom builds. Books, trusted mentors, or a stepfamily support group can help you think through the emotional complexities long before any wedding plans. That kind of preparation strengthens you and protects your boys. It also gives you clarity as you watch how this relationship unfolds, you’ll see whether the two of you share a realistic, shared vision for that unique road.

We’re joining you in prayer, not to demand a particular outcome, but to entrust every longing to the One who knows you best.

Lord Jesus, we lift up our sister and her boys. Quiet her anxious thoughts with Your presence. Give her discernment, steady patience, and courage to wait on Your timing rather than seize control. Protect her heart from building hope on feelings alone, and guide this man’s heart according to Your good purpose. Show her what it looks like to walk in wisdom today, trusting You with tomorrow. In Your name we pray, amen.

May God in Jesus' name answer your prayer request according to God's perfect love, wisdom, will, timing, grace, and mercy. God is so in love with you. Be Encouraged!

Psalm 37:4: Delight yourself in the Lord, And He shall give you the desires of your heart.
Matthew 6:33: But seek first the kingdom of God and His righteousness, and all these things shall be added to you.

Heal Me Lord Jesus Spirit, Soul, And Body

The prayer laid before us reveals a heart full of its own plans and desires. "We will go, we will continue, we will buy, we will sell, we will get gain", is it not foolish for a man to feel that he can do as he likes and that everything will fall out as he desires? All that these men of old spoke of doing was to be done entirely in their own strength. They said, "We will. We will." But while many of God's purposes are hidden from us, there is a revealed will which we must not violate. Will you, who are redeemed with the precious blood of Christ, tell me why you were thus favored? Why were you given to Christ and put into His Church? Yes, why, but that it was according to the heart of God? The reason for God's mercy lies not in man, but in God's own heart! He looked and He could see no good of any kind in man, nor the slightest hope of there ever being any good.

Yet this request reaches after a particular soul, asking God to touch a heart and mind, to stir a spark. But the heart which "is deceitful above all things, and desperately wicked" cannot receive God's writing until He first gives a new heart. "You must be born-again." God's promise is, "A new heart also will I give you, and a new spirit will I put within you." Putting the Law of the Lord into the heart signifies that it is put where it will be loved and where it will control the whole man. When God's Law is written in a man's heart, that heart becomes divinely royal property, for the King's name is there. It is God's will that chooses His people unto eternal life. We know no other reason. As surely as God's will is the axle of the universe, so in grace let us rest assured that he is King, willing to do as he pleases, having mercy on whom he will have mercy.

There is a danger of pride preventing a true reception of God's answer. When the Lord says to us, "Seek you My face," our heart should at once reply, "Your face, Lord, will I seek." Would God that the Lord would change your will and renew your heart! But if you are so proud that you reject the testimony of God against yourself, then who is to blame? We do hold and teach that though the will of man is not ignored, the work of the Spirit, which is the effect of the will of God, is to change the human will, and so make men willing in the day of God's power.

Many have been "pricked in their heart" when they have found that though some preachers make our sin to be only a trifle, God's Word does not. God's scale of sin and man's scale of sin differ very widely. Yet I would rather that people were cut to the heart than not wounded at all, because I hope that the sword of the Spirit will penetrate a little further and really enter the heart. So, when a man is cut to the heart, I hope that he will soon be cut in the heart, but if the sword of the Spirit does not prick him in the heart, no permanent good will be effected.

Our best profit will consist of doing God's will. In our prayers, let us not ask according to the measure of our poor little heart that is so shriveled, cold and weak, but according to God's great heart that is infinite and full of Grace and love! "For My own sake," saith the Lord, "and will not remember your sins." Look away to God's heart and you will see that He loves to forgive, that it is His Glory to forgive! He will not take His great pen into His hand to write on such a medium as the heart of unregenerate flesh. He says, "I will come in gentleness and mercy, and find a way into their hearts. I will put My finger upon their hearts, and there will I write My Law." It is consistent with the universal experience of all God's people that salvation is of God's will.

You must witness, for you are subpoenaed. Temptation will be put in your way, the devil will cross-examine you. You say you love God, he will set carnal joys before you and see whether you cannot be decoyed from your love to God. A crushing misfortune will befall you. How is it now? Can you trust Him? This will set your heart at rest concerning your brief stay on earth, for what will it matter to you whether your life is cloudy or bright, short or long, when eternity is secure? God's promise may tarry, but it never fails, and if it seems to fail for the time being, will it fail forevermore? A little holy history is good reading for a heavy heart. You will often stumble on a record of God's Providential dealings, or a paragraph concerning His wonderful love, that will cheer your heart. He Himself died upon the Cross that this heart should not be burned. If you have God's Law written on your hearts, it will preserve you.

The Lord hears the prayers of the humble heart, and it is good that you entrust your desires to Him who orders all things for our salvation. Yet let us examine what we ask, lest we unknowingly seek not the things of Heaven but the fleeting fancies of this world. You pray for a spark of romance to be stirred, for a man to see your worth and declare love in a loud and outward voice. But the love that builds a holy household is not a passion that flashes and fades; it is a sober, steady flame of mutual reverence, self-sacrifice, and shared fear of God. Do not set your heart on the theater of courtship, on proofs and professions that merely tickle the senses, these often come from the same root as the spectacles and songs that corrupt marriage, turning a divine bond into a pageant.

Marriage is honorable and pure, a remedy against fornication, a school of patience and charity. But it is a state of many occupations, and the Apostle would have us use it with moderation, that we might also attend upon the Lord without distraction. What, then, should be the foundation of your hope? Not the moving of a man’s heart by hidden longings, but the open choosing of a companion who is “in the Lord”, a man of chastity, of honest labor, who will lead your sons not first to comfort but to Christ. A provider? Yes, but above all a fellow heir of the grace of life, lest your prayers, though sincere, descend into a coveting of earthly security.

If you are a widow, remember the counsel given to those who have lost a husband: she who is truly a widow trusts in God and continues in supplications night and day. A second marriage is no crime, but it is to be entered for the sake of holiness, not restlessness of heart. If you are yet bound by a former union, then no prayer can make another man yours while the first lives, for marriage is a lifelong covenant whose rights must not be dissolved except by death or ungodliness that forces a parting. I charge you, therefore, in the name of that chasteness which befits the saints, examine your state with the utmost honesty. Nothing corrupts the sweetness of a Christian family more than a root that began in lawlessness.

Let your prayer be recast in the mold of the Apostle’s teaching. Ask that God shape you first, into a woman of quiet industry, of good works, of modesty that needs no borrowed mirrors. Pray that if a husband is indeed His will, the Lord will bring one whose faith is proven, whose kindness extends to the fatherless, and whose desire is not a fleeting romance but a lifelong yoke of service. Pray that your sons see in any union not the satisfaction of a mother’s loneliness, but a home where Christ is invited, where the poor are welcomed as His own presence, and where no uproar of worldly display drowns out the still voice of purity.

Until that day, be not anxious. A woman who fears the Lord, who raises her children in the discipline of virtue, who uses her leisure for strangers and the saints, such a one is not inferior to the married. Use marriage with moderation, and you may be first in the kingdom; but do not imagine that marriage itself is the kingdom. Your true Bridegroom is Christ, and the household that cannot be shaken is above. Set your affections there, and whether this man comes or not, you will possess a treasure that no visa, no distance, no human frailty can diminish.

May the God of peace sanctify you wholly, and may your spirit and soul and body be kept blameless. Walk in holiness, follow peace with all men, and commit the ordering of your earthly path to Him who knows what is best for you and for your boys. Amen.

Your words show a heart eager for a good gift: a loving husband, a father figure for your boys, a life together. That longing is not wrong, but it must be laid on the altar. The path of discipleship always leads to the cross. Jesus did not say "Grab whatever your soul craves and I will bless it." He said, "Deny yourself, take up your cross, and follow me." Before any human relationship can flourish, there is a deeper, prior surrender. The cross means the end of self-governed ambition, the death of my own way, my own timing, my own list of demands. It is not a grim endurance of a nuisance; it is a will laid down before the Father, echoing "Not what I will, but what You will."

A relationship built without that foundational surrender will quickly become a striving for control. You are asking God to stir a spark in this man and to shape him into a provider and a loving partner. But the Scriptures give one rule to a wife and one rule to a husband, not a checklist. The husband is to love as Christ loved the church, fully, sacrificially. The wife is to submit to that kind of love, respecting the order God has designed. That dynamic cannot be manufactured by human yearning; it must be cultivated by the Spirit in two people who are each already bowed before the Lord. If this man comes to you, he should be one who loves Jesus more than he loves his own life. And the same must be true of you. Jesus told us that anyone who loves family more than Him is not worthy of Him. He does not erase our affections; He reorders them. Your love for the Lord must exceed even the desire for this answered prayer. If it does not, then this hope, precious as it is, would become an idol.

It is natural to dream of marriage and a united family. God Himself invented those bonds, and they are gifts. But the immediate fulfillment of every desire is not the way of the cross. The world whispers that you can have what you want right now, without the pain of waiting, without the death of self. That is the voice that urged Jesus to bypass the cross and take the kingdoms on easier terms. He refused. For you, the question is whether you will trust the Father enough to let this request die if it is not His will, or to wait in silence if His answer is "not yet." Can you say today, "Father, I desire these things, but I want Your will more than I want a visa, a vow, or a ring"? That is the very essence of the cross applied to your heart.

If this relationship grows, let it be tested by God's plain design. The Bible teaches that marriage is a lifelong covenant between one man and one woman. It is the only safe harbor for romantic love and the only proper place for physical union. The body belongs not to oneself alone, first to the Lord, and within marriage, to the spouse in mutual deference. Pursue nothing that would compromise that purity, no matter how strong the connection feels. If he is not yet a believer or shows no evidence of a life submitted to Christ, do not yoke yourself unequally. A believing wife is bound to her husband for life, but she is free to marry only "in the Lord." Guard your boys by modeling now what it looks like to trust God with the deepest chambers of your heart.

Bring these good longings regularly to your Father, but hold them loosely. His goal is not first to give you a comfortable family; His goal is to conform you to the image of His Son. When your spirit quiets itself before that truth, you will find that your relationship with God ceases to be a tense, legal bargaining and becomes a living, breathing intimacy. You will know Him as Abba, Father, who neither withholds any good thing nor indulges every whim. Rest in His love, and let Him take care of who comes into your life and when. He knows how to write a story better than you can propose. Let His peace, not a frantic urgency, lead each step today.

We are so grateful you entrusted us with the privilege of praying alongside you for this precious relationship and the desires of your heart. It has been our joy to stand in agreement with you, lifting up your request for God’s perfect will to unfold in both your life and in the heart of this man. We have prayed that the Lord would stir a deep, genuine romance within him, drawing him closer to you in a way that reflects His divine purpose. We asked our Heavenly Father to shape him into a man of kindness, love, and provision—a partner who would cherish you and embrace your boys with the heart of a loving stepfather.

We have also prayed for God’s timing and direction in your future together, whether that includes marriage, a move to America, or the beautiful blending of your family. We trust that the Lord is working even now, aligning every detail according to His perfect plan, and we continue to ask Him to guide your steps, protect your hearts, and fill you both with His peace.

If you’ve seen God move in answer to these prayers—whether in small ways or in big, unmistakable moments—we would love to hear a praise report so we can rejoice with you. If it feels like the answer hasn’t yet come, or if you’d like us to keep lifting this request before the Lord, please share it again so we can continue to stand with you in faith.

May God bless you abundantly as you seek Him and His will through His Son, Jesus Christ. We pray all these things in Jesus’ name. Amen.
