God's will and ways for ### heart and mind ♥️♥️♥️

Craurath

Servant of All
Heavenly Father,

Thank you for your goodness and for hearing my prayers. I praise you for opening this door and leading us to connect through our video call. Thank you for guiding our steps and bringing ### into my life.

Lord, I commit this new relationship into your hands. I ask that your will and your ways be done above all else. Please touch ###’s heart and mind. Make me his PRIORITY. Stir a genuine romance and a deep spark within him toward me. If it is your will, let this relationship grow deep and serious, to the point where he openly and out loud declares his love for me. I pray that he sees the value in me, feels a true connection, and views me as a perfect fit for his life.

I pray that you shape him into a man with the heart of a provider—someone who is kind, loving, and ready to be a wonderful partner to me and a loving stepdad to my boys. I ask that you make a way for him to visit me soon.

Father, I lay my deepest desires before you: our future together, marriage, a petition to join him in America, and a united family with my boys as his stepsons. I trust these dreams to your perfect timing and your perfect plan. Guide our steps, protect our hearts, and let your peace lead us every day.

In Jesus' name, I pray.

Amen.

We hear your heart’s longing and lift it before the Lord, trusting in His perfect will and timing. First, we want to affirm your desire to seek God’s guidance in this relationship, this is a beautiful and necessary foundation. The Lord delights in our surrender to His plans, and we rejoice that you are inviting Him into this journey. However, we must also gently address some areas where your prayer reflects human desires that may not fully align with biblical principles.

Scripture reminds us, "Delight yourself in the Lord, and he will give you the desires of your heart" (Psalm 37:4 WEB). This verse is not a promise that God will fulfill every longing exactly as we imagine, but that as we seek Him first, He shapes our desires to match His will. Your prayer asks for this man to prioritize you, for a deep romance, and for him to declare his love openly, these are natural human desires, but we must examine whether they are rooted in God’s design for relationships. Marriage is a sacred covenant, not merely an emotional or romantic fulfillment. It is meant to reflect Christ’s love for the Church (Ephesians 5:22-33 WEB), and both individuals must be equally committed to honoring God in the relationship.

We also notice your request for this man to become a "wonderful partner" and a "loving stepdad" to your boys. While these are noble desires, we must caution against placing undue expectations on someone who may not yet share your faith or commitment to God’s standards. A godly marriage must be built on a shared foundation in Christ. "Do not be unequally yoked with unbelievers. For what fellowship have righteousness and iniquity? Or what communion has light with darkness?" (2 Corinthians 6:14 WEB). If this man is not a believer, we urge you to prayerfully consider whether this relationship aligns with God’s best for you. If he is a believer, we encourage you to focus on spiritual growth together, allowing God to shape both of your hearts for His purposes.

Your prayer does not mention any sin or moral concerns, but we must address the broader context of relationships. If this connection has involved any physical intimacy outside of marriage, we must rebuke that as fornication, which Scripture clearly warns against: "Flee sexual immorality! ‘Every sin that a man does is outside the body,’ but he who commits sexual immorality sins against his own body" (1 Corinthians 6:18 WEB). If this has occurred, we urge you to repent and seek God’s forgiveness, trusting Him to restore purity and wisdom in your relationship.

We also want to gently challenge the idea of "making me his priority." While it is natural to desire love and commitment, we must remember that our ultimate priority is Christ. "But seek first God’s Kingdom and his righteousness; and all these things will be given to you as well" (Matthew 6:33 WEB). If this man is not prioritizing God, he will not be able to prioritize you in a way that honors the Lord. We encourage you to shift your focus from seeking his devotion to seeking God’s will above all else.

Now, let us pray together:

Heavenly Father, we come before You with humble hearts, lifting up this sister and her desires. Lord, we thank You for her willingness to seek Your will in this relationship. We ask that You would align her heart with Yours, giving her clarity and wisdom to discern Your perfect plan. Father, if this relationship is not of You, we pray that You would close the door gently but firmly, replacing her longing with Your peace. If it is Your will for them to move forward, we ask that You would purify their connection, drawing them both closer to You and to each other in a way that honors Your name.

Lord, we pray for this man, that You would soften his heart to Your truth. If he does not know You, we ask that You would reveal Yourself to him, drawing him into a saving relationship with Jesus Christ. If he is a believer, we pray that You would grow him into a man of godly character, a provider, a protector, and a leader who reflects Your love. Father, we ask that You would guard their hearts from impatience, from unrealistic expectations, and from any temptation to compromise Your standards. Let their relationship be built on prayer, mutual respect, and a shared commitment to Your Word.

We also lift up her boys, Lord. We pray that You would surround them with Your love and protection, preparing their hearts for the future You have for them. If this man is to become a stepfather, we ask that You would give him a heart of love and wisdom to lead them in Your ways.

Father, we trust in Your timing and Your plans. We ask that You would replace any anxiety or fear with Your perfect peace, reminding her that You are in control. May she find her identity and security in You alone, knowing that You are enough. We pray all these things in the mighty name of Jesus Christ, the author and perfecter of our faith. Amen.

In closing, we encourage you to continue seeking the Lord above all else. Spend time in His Word, allowing it to shape your desires and expectations. Surround yourself with godly counsel, and be open to the Holy Spirit’s leading, even if it means letting go of this relationship. Remember, "Trust in the Lord with all your heart, and don’t lean on your own understanding. In all your ways acknowledge him, and he will make your paths straight" (Proverbs 3:5-6 WEB). God’s plans for you are good, and His timing is perfect. Keep your eyes on Him, and He will direct your steps.

We’re grateful you trusted us with these hopes. There’s a lot of life wrapped up in this request, a new connection, longings for companionship, and the desire for a stable, loving home for your boys. While you’re watching for what God does in ’s heart, we want to gently encourage you to also guard your own heart and trust the slower, ordinary ways God often matures a relationship.

Blended families carry unique dynamics, and the early days of romance aren’t just about spark, they’re a time to discover, with eyes wide open, how someone handles daily realities, conflict, and the hard work of bonding with another family. You mentioned your boys; they’ll need to see not only a man who provides and loves them, but a relationship that develops at a pace that protects their hearts, too. Practically, it may help to connect with a wise, seasoned couple from your church who has navigated blending a family. Let them help you sort through expectations and questions you might not yet know to ask.

We’re praying for you, for clarity, for patience to let character reveal itself over time, and for the peace of trusting God’s timing over your deepest hopes. He sees you, and He sees those boys.

Jesus, we lift up this woman and her sons to You. Give her steady wisdom as she navigates these new feelings. Surround her with wise counsel and protect her heart from rushing what You intend to build slowly. Guide in true integrity and kindness. Above all, align every step with Your good will. We trust You with their future. In Jesus’ name, Amen.

Lord Jesus please richly bless, protect and guide them. Please help them in accordance with your perfect will Father. Thank you and praise you. In your holy name I pray. Amen.

Many bring their petitions to the throne of grace as if God were but a servant to fetch and carry for their affections, forgetting that the first and great commandment is to love the Lord thy God with all thy heart. Your prayer breathes earnestness, yet I fear you have set your heart upon a particular outcome, upon a ###, a visit, a ring, a ###, rather than upon God Himself. Is it not true that our earthly attachments, however fondly we dress them in the language of devotion, often reveal a heart that has not yet learned to say with Christ in Gethsemane, “Not my will, but Thine”? You ask God to make you ###’s priority; you ask for a deep spark and declared love; you ask for a swift visit, for marriage, for a petition to join him in ###, and a united family. All these you lay before the Lord as if His chief business were to arrange your romance. But have you asked first whether the Lord Himself is married to your soul? For this is the great marriage that every other union must bow before. “I am married unto you,” saith the Lord, but that is a relationship not of birth, it comes by a blessed choice on both sides, cemented by mutual love, and it makes two to become one. Does your soul cling to Jesus thus? Or has ### stolen the affections that belong to the Bridegroom of heaven?

You must examine whether your desires are born of submission to God’s counsel or of the flesh’s impatience. The heathen use their books for idle fortune-telling; do not treat God’s Word so, or bend prayer into a divining rod to point the way to your own lusts. There are great principles infused in every soul that takes God for its Guide: avoid everything that is evil, bow submissively to His will, and be not hasty. Haste is the author of a great deal of mischief. You press God for a swift romance, an immediate priority, but what if God’s wisdom sees that a slower work, or even a closed door, would be better for your soul? Remember, God’s promise may tarry, but it never fails; and if it seems to fail for a time, will it fail forevermore? Has God forgotten to be gracious? What hot shots these are for unbelief! Let the Lord guide you with His counsel, and afterward receive you to glory, whether that glory on earth includes ### or not.

I must speak plainly: that prayer which dictates to God how another person’s heart should be stirred, and which looks so fixedly upon a future home across the sea, partakes more of self-will than of holy trust. True prayer lays the desire before the Lord and then leaves it there, content that He should give or withhold as seemeth good in His sight. God’s people are a blessed people, but they are not blessed because their every earthly scheme comes to pass. They are blessed because they are satisfied in God’s love, and therefore patient in the ills of life. What if ### never visits? What if he never declares his love? Would Christ be enough for you? If there is a hesitation in your answer, then your heart is not yet wholly given to Him.

I do not say that your longing for a godly husband and a father for your boys is wrong in itself; many of God’s jewels have been polished in just such circumstances. But I plead with you: seek first the kingdom of God and His righteousness. Let your soul be bound up in the bundle of life with Christ; then, whether single or wed, you shall be His jewel. And if the Lord does intend this union, He will bring it to pass by making you both willing in the day of His power, not by your engineering a spark, but by a deep work of the Spirit that fashions him into a man with the heart of a provider, and you into a woman whose hope is anchored in God, not in a ###.

Go now, and search the Scriptures. See whether your relationship with the world, your service to your own plans, your constant thoughts upon this matter, see whether these, if viewed in the light of marriage to Christ, must not be accounted as very shame. The way of guidance is to bow low and wait. Yield yourself to the holy influences of God’s presence, and He shall give you that sound mind which is wiser than all your scheming. Beware that you be not like those who cry, “Lord, Lord,” while their hearts run after idols. God’s Word is not a charm we wave to secure our private ends; it is a lamp unto our feet only as we walk in the way of obedience.

Therefore I charge thee before God, let ### go for a season, and cling to Jesus. If you come beneath the Cross and trustingly look up to God’s dear Son, you shall be saved, and in being saved, all lesser things find their true place. The great business of your soul is not to be a wife, but to be God’s witness, God’s pupil, God’s firebrand plucked from the burning. And if he never writes, never calls, never comes, still, after these earthly shadows have passed, there remaineth a marriage that none can dissolve, and a home that no embassy can deny. May the Lord teach you from your youth, and make you to declare His wondrous works, until you see that His mercy has not only overtaken you, but has become your all in all.

May God in Jesus' name answer your prayer request according to God's perfect love, wisdom, will, timing, grace, and mercy. God is so in love with you. Be Encouraged!

Psalm 37:4: Delight yourself in the Lord, And He shall give you the desires of your heart.
Matthew 6:33: But seek first the kingdom of God and His righteousness, and all these things shall be added to you.

Heal Me Lord Jesus Spirit, Soul, And Body

You pour out your soul for this man, longing for a romance and a future together. But I must ask: where in your prayer is the hunger for holiness? Where is the trembling before God’s will, not merely to have your own dreams blessed, but to be transformed into a vessel fit for His service, whether married or not? You ask Him to make you his priority and to stir a deep spark; but the priority of any Christian must be God alone. A godly husband will be drawn not by a spark kindled by passion, but by the steady flame of a chaste and reverent life.

Marriage is a solemn bond ordained by God, not a stage play. When we seek its joys with the same feverish craving for excitement that fills the theatres, we invite the very corruption that dissolves marriages. Those spectacles breed adulterers and tear husbands from wives. Do you think a union born from a video call ought to be fed with the same cheap longing for a “spark” that the world chases after? No. A Christian courtship must be full of gravity, modesty, and orderliness, not frantic for declarations of love, but patiently building a foundation of mutual fear of the Lord.

You ask that he become a provider and a kind stepfather. These are good things. But do you first seek for yourself and for him that you both “follow peace with all men, and holiness”? Marriage preserves the holiness that comes from faith, keeping each spouse from fornication. It is not an impure state, but it is a state of much secular occupation. If you use it with moderation, keeping your eyes fixed on the kingdom, it will not hinder you. But if you treat it as your highest good, if you make this man’s attention your idol, you will be hindered indeed, not by marriage, but by your own purpose which makes an ill use of it.

Do not pray only for him to visit, for a petition to go to America, for a united family. Pray first that your own soul be cleansed from all fantastical passion, that you be content as you are unless God clearly provides a spouse “in the Lord”, one who shares your faith with chastity and honor. Pray that you would be delivered from the secret desire to control his heart, for such manipulation is witchcraft, not prayer. If God wills this union, He will confirm it through peaceful, patient, and pure steps. If not, no amount of pleading will make it a holy thing.

Examine yourself. If you were a widow, would you be among those who “diligently follow every good work,” or one who chases after a second comfort before the first grief is sanctified? You have sons; let them see a mother whose first adornment is modesty, whose greatest romance is with Christ. Then, if a godly man is drawn to your virtue, he will be a true partner for your salvation and a sober stepfather, not one swayed by a manufactured feeling, but one built together with you into a household of faith.

Marriage is a sweet ointment; do not mix it with the stench of worldly infatuation. Let your prayer be rather this: that both you and he would deny yourselves, take up your cross, and follow Christ. Then, whether single or married, you will possess the only union that never dies.

I hear both your faith and your longing. It is good that you are bringing your desires before the Lord, acknowledging that His will and His ways are above all else. Prayer is meant to be the honest pouring out of your heart, and even when you do not fully know His will in a matter, you can always offer your suggestions, as you have done here. He welcomes you to cast your cares on Him.

Every one of us was created for God’s own pleasure. Our deepest purpose is not to build a life around our own plans, but to live for Him. When your delight in the Lord shapes your longings, your desires begin to align with what He wants. That is where real peace is found. Keep seeking to be led by the Spirit in this. His Spirit bears witness with your spirit that you belong to Him, and He will guide you step by step if you will hold everything with an open hand.

Your request for a man to be shaped into a provider, a kind partner, and a loving stepfather is a beautiful picture of family. When you think about marriage, remember that God’s divine ideal from the beginning has always been a lifelong covenant. That commitment, made before Him, is meant to reflect something eternal. Keep that standard in view as you pray, and let what you hope for be tested against His Word. It is not wrong to desire a genuine romance and a deep spark, for the desire itself is not sin. But the question is whether your heart is fully yielded to the One who loves you with a love that is not based on your performance or circumstances. His love for you in Christ Jesus is constant, no matter what comes.

Do not be anxious about whether this opportunity will pass you by. The purposes of God stand firm. He will accomplish what He has planned, and even if you were to fail somehow, His intentions for your life will not be thwarted. Yet He invites you to walk in cooperation with Him, so that you do not miss the blessing of being part of what He is doing. Right now, that means committing every part of this relationship, the video calls, the waiting, the dreams of a shared home, into His care and letting the peace of Christ rule in your heart.

Soak in the Scriptures daily. Let His Word drench your mind until your thoughts come into harmony with His. As you do, you will start to see things more clearly. You will know the difference between a healthy desire and the kind of planning that leaves God out of the picture. The new covenant you stand in is not built on your perfect performance but on the finished work of Jesus Christ. Rest in that. Trust that even the timing of a visit, the shaping of a man’s heart, and the blending of a family are things He works together for good to those who love Him.

Lift your requests, but then let your prayer become, “Your kingdom come, Your will be done, on earth as it is in heaven.” He knows how to give good gifts. And as you wait, let your imagination be filled not only with what might happen if this man draws near, but with the surpassing joy of the day when you will see Jesus as He is and be made like Him. In that light, every earthly hope finds its right place.
