Holy Spirit, Touch my heart with the truth in Jesus name Your will be done Father! In Jesus name
We join you in this cry for understanding and clarity and we thank you for seeking the Father's will in the name of Jesus, for it is only through Him that we have access to God and it is only by His name that we are saved and heard. We rejoice that you have asked in Jesus' name, for Jesus said in John 14:6 that He is the way, the truth, and the life and no one comes to the Father except through Him.
We understand the longing to know God's plan and to have truth revealed to your heart by the Holy Spirit. The Lord desires to give you wisdom and to guide you. He says in James 1:5 But if any of you lacks wisdom, let him ask of God, who gives to all liberally and without reproach; and it will be given to him. And in Proverbs 3:5-6 we are told to Trust in Yahweh with all your heart, and don’t lean on your own understanding. In all your ways acknowledge him, and he will make your paths straight. When we surrender our own understanding and acknowledge Him, He promises to direct us.
God's plan for you is good and full of hope, for He says in Jeremiah 29:11 For I know the thoughts that I think toward you, says Yahweh, thoughts of peace, and not of evil, to give you hope and a future. He also promises in Psalm 32:8 I will instruct you and teach you in the way which you shall go. I will counsel you with my eye on you. And Jesus promised concerning the Holy Spirit in John 16:13 However when he, the Spirit of truth, has come, he will guide you into all truth. We encourage you to continue to seek Him through His Word, through prayer, and through quiet waiting upon Him, and to be transformed by the renewing of your mind, so that you may prove what is the good, well-pleasing, and perfect will of God as taught in Romans 12:2. Call to Him and He will answer, for He says in Jeremiah 33:3 Call to me, and I will answer you, and will show you great things, and difficult, which you don’t know.
We pray together with you now. Father, in the name of Jesus we come before Your throne of grace and we lift up this heart that longs for Your truth and Your will. Touch this heart by Your Holy Spirit, open the eyes of understanding, grant clarity where there is confusion, and reveal Your perfect plan. Remove any fear or doubt and fill this life with Your peace that surpasses all understanding. Help us to trust You fully, to not lean on our own understanding, and to acknowledge You in all our ways so that You will make our paths straight. Teach us to wait upon You and to hear Your still small voice through Your Word. Let Your will be done in this life as it is in heaven. Guide into all truth, grant revelation according to Your perfect timing and wisdom, and let Your name be glorified. We ask all this in the mighty and holy name of Jesus Christ, our Lord and Savior, amen.

What has helped many of us is remembering that God is not distant or reluctant to communicate, He draws near as we seek Him, and He often makes His will known gradually as we walk with Him day by day, not all at once. When everything feels urgent, it can help to narrow your focus to one question at a time before the Lord.
One simple step that may help in this season is to set aside a quiet, unhurried few minutes each day to bring that one most pressing question to God and then sit and listen, and to also bring that same question to one trusted, biblically grounded person who knows you, a pastor or mature believer, for counsel and perspective outside your own thoughts. That combination of private prayer and wise counsel often brings steadiness while you wait for clearer direction.
Father, we lift our friend to You and thank You that You see this hunger for truth. Draw near and quiet any confusion, touch this heart with Your peace and give clear wisdom for the next step. Help our friend to know Your presence and to trust Your will above all else. Lead with gentleness day by day. In Jesus' name, amen.

Your prayer that the will of the Father be done and that the Holy Spirit would touch your heart with truth is a prayer which God delights to answer. It is a blessed thing that you do not ask first for your own way to prosper, but for His plan to be revealed and for grace to follow it.
Be encouraged to know that as surely as God's will is the axle of the universe, as certainly as God's will is the great heart of providence sending its pulsings through even the most distant parts of our lives, so all things are under regulation and have an appointed place in God's plan and nothing happens but what He permits or ordains. The foolish heart says we will go, we will do this or that and we will get gain, as if we could both propose and dispose without asking God's consent. But the wise heart learns to say, I will go or I will stay if it is the will of God. There is a revealed will which we must not violate, and there is a providential will which we should always consult with the guidance that comes from the circumstances that surround us.
That revealed will is found in the Inspired Word of God from the first word of Genesis to the last line of Revelation, and it will never mislead you. Its promises are not maybes but shalls and wills, for God Himself is speaking. Believe this Book and lay hold upon it. And remember that salvation and guidance are of God's will, not of him that willeth nor of him that runneth, but of God that showeth mercy. Though the will of man is not ignored, the work of the Spirit which is the effect of the will of God is to change the human will and so make us willing in the day of His power, working in us to will and to do of His good pleasure. To you is still proclaimed that gracious invitation, Whosoever will, let him take the water of life freely.
We will pray for you now. Father in heaven, in the name of Jesus Christ Thy Son through whom alone is salvation, grant to this seeking heart good understanding, clarity and true revelation. By Thy Holy Spirit open the eyes to see Thy truth in Scripture, give guidance in every providential step, and make the heart willing to obey what Thou revealest. Let Thy will be done in this life as it is in heaven. Cause Thy Word to be a light to the path and keep this soul unspotted from the world while following Thee. May the grace of our Lord Jesus Christ be with you now and on the last page of life as it is on the last page of the Book. Amen.
