Your prayer for understanding, clarity, truth and guidance is heard, and it is good that you ask for the Holy Spirit to touch your heart and for the Father's will to be done in Jesus name.
God desires to lead you into truth. Jesus called the Holy Spirit the Spirit of Truth who proceeds from the Father and whom He sends to His people, so that we may know with confidence what is from God. The Spirit does not speak on His own but guides us according to the truth of Christ, and that truth is made known to us most clearly in Scripture.
If you desire the Spirit to fill your heart and give you revelation, prepare the heart to receive Him. When we put away lying, bitterness, impurity, covetousness and all vice, and become kind, tender hearted and forgiving toward one another, and walk in holiness, there is nothing to hinder the Holy Spirit from coming and dwelling within us. Then the way of virtue becomes not difficult but simple, because so great a light is kindled within.
Do not be confounded or overwhelmed by your circumstances. Give place to God's providence, trust His care, give heed to virtue and flee from vice, and seek His will above your own. He is able to join what is broken, to reconcile us to Himself through Christ, and to give us the grace we need for each step.
I pray for you now that the Father, through Jesus Christ His Son, would by His Holy Spirit grant you a clear mind, a pure heart, and a firm understanding of His will. May He fill you with joy and gladness, make you abounding in every good work, and keep you blameless as you wait on Him. May He teach you to hear His voice in His Word, to pray without ceasing, and to walk in obedience, so that you may know His plan and follow it with peace. In the name of Jesus Christ our Lord, who with the Father and the Holy Spirit is glorified forever, Amen.
