God's help

Anonymous

Beloved of All
Please pray that the Lord will help me in a task I have to do; I need His help, in Jesus Name. Amen.

We hear your heartfelt cry for the Lord’s help in the task before you, and we join you in seeking His strength and wisdom. The Scriptures remind us, "I can do all things through Christ, who strengthens me" (Philippians 4:13 WEB). Whatever this task may be, whether it feels overwhelming, unclear, or beyond your own ability, know that God is faithful to equip those He calls. He does not leave us to struggle alone but invites us to rely fully on Him.

Father in Heaven, we come before You as Your children, lifting up this dear one who seeks Your help. You are the God who parted the Red Sea, who gave wisdom to Solomon, and who sustained David in the face of giants. We ask that You would go before them in this task, making the path clear and their hands steady. Grant them discernment to know Your will, courage to step forward in faith, and peace that surpasses all understanding. If fear or doubt creeps in, remind them that You are their refuge and strength, a very present help in trouble (Psalm 46:1 WEB). May they experience Your presence in a tangible way as they walk in obedience to You. We ask this in the mighty name of Jesus, the One who has overcome the world and through whom all things are possible. Amen.

We encourage you to press into God’s Word for guidance and strength. Meditate on verses like Proverbs 3:5-6: "Trust in Yahweh with all your heart, and don’t lean on your own understanding. In all your ways acknowledge him, and he will make your paths straight." If this task involves decisions or challenges that feel uncertain, seek godly counsel from fellow believers who can pray with you and offer wisdom. Remember, too, that God often uses our weaknesses to display His strength (2 Corinthians 12:9 WEB). You are not defined by your limitations but by His power at work within you.

If this task is connected to a larger season of waiting or testing, take heart in knowing that God is using this time to refine your faith and draw you closer to Him. Keep your eyes fixed on Jesus, the author and perfecter of your faith (Hebrews 12:2 WEB), and trust that He will complete the good work He has begun in you (Philippians 1:6 WEB). You are not alone in this, we stand with you in prayer, believing that God will move mightily on your behalf.

We’re so glad you reached out. It’s clear this task matters to you, and we want to lift it before the Lord right alongside you. Even now, we’re pausing to pray with you, not just for you.

Sometimes a task looms large in front of us, and we feel our own strength isn’t enough. That’s actually a tender place to be, it turns our hearts toward the One whose help is real and present. We know that when we cast our cares on Him, He gives what’s needed, whether it’s clarity, endurance, or simply the peace to take the next step. One thing that often helps us is to stop and pray a very brief, honest prayer right at the start: “Lord, I can’t do this on my own. Please carry me through.” It’s a simple act, but it sets our whole effort in His hands.

As you go about your task, remember you’re not working alone. God sees your effort, and He’s a faithful helper. You don’t need to have everything figured out in advance, just take one step, then the next, trusting that He is with you in it.

Let’s pray together now.

Lord Jesus, thank You that we can bring every need to You. We ask You to help this dear one with the task ahead. Grant clear thinking, steady hands, and a calm spirit. Let Your presence be tangible, and give the wisdom and strength that only You can supply. In Jesus’ name, amen.

You have cried to the Lord for help, and that is well, for all strength that is apart from God is derived and measurable and must come to an end. When there remains no strength in you, fling yourself upon the Divine might and rejoice that if God has said, "They shall," then assuredly you will. The glory of any strength you have must be given to Him, for you have none of your own; it is God who works in you to will and to do of His good pleasure.

Wait upon the Lord in this task. Do not rush with haste, which is the author of much mischief, but bow in submission to His will, and by that very acquiescence you will be furnished with unerring guidance. Declare your ways unto Him, hide nothing, and He will hear you and teach you His statutes. He sees all the good or ill that checkers life, and His hand is in it.

If the Lord does not help you, where else could help be found? None can aid you but the Almighty. Rest therefore in complete reliance upon the merit of Jesus, and though you feel faint, you shall renew your strength; you shall mount up with wings as eagles. Go forward, then, in this task with holy confidence, knowing that the help of God is not a spent force but an ever-present reality. Commit it all to Him, and He shall bring it to pass.

May God in Jesus' name answer your prayer request according to God's perfect love, wisdom, will, timing, grace, and mercy. God is so in love with you. Be Encouraged!

Psalm 37:4: Delight yourself in the Lord, And He shall give you the desires of your heart.
Matthew 6:33: But seek first the kingdom of God and His righteousness, and all these things shall be added to you.

Heal Me Lord Jesus Spirit, Soul, And Body

It is good and right that you call upon the Lord for help, for without Him we can do nothing. Yet let no one think that prayer alone suffices while his own hand lies idle. The grace from above comes to those who first rouse their own will, who stretch out their hand to the plow and do not look back. You have a task before you: perform it with all diligence, as unto the Lord, and do not give place to sloth or despair.

For just as the eye of the master makes the servant watchful, so the fear of God, and not the fear of hell only, but the desire to please Him, sharpens the soul for every good work. When you pray, then, do not merely move your lips, but set your mind on fire; and when you rise from prayer, go forth and labor as one who knows that the Lord’s help is a shield to them that strive, not a pillow for the listless. He who gave you the task will supply the strength, if you contribute your own earnest resolve. Remember the Apostle’s word: “Walk not after the flesh.” Many after baptism fall because they grow negligent and expect God to do all, while they themselves sleep.

But you, beloved, shake off every weight and the sin that so easily besets, and run with patience the race set before you. So shall you both accomplish the thing before you and store up a good hope for the age to come, where there is no toil but only the glad fruit of labors rightly offered. May the Lord Jesus Christ, who strengthens all that call upon Him in truth, make you fruitful in every good work, that both eating and drinking, and whatsoever you do, you may do all to the glory of God. For the rest, I cease not to pray that you, having put away all filthiness and sloth, may obtain the help you seek and at last attain the eternal kingdom, by the grace and love toward man of our Lord Jesus Christ, with whom to the Father and the Holy Spirit be glory, now and ever, and world without end.

Amen.

There is something deeply right about your cry for help. So often we reach for every human solution first: our own strategies, the advice of others, some new self-help formula. Like Paul at the end of Romans 7, we finally throw off the idea that we can change ourselves and instead call out for outside deliverance. That honest desperation, "I cannot do it, I need help", is exactly where real help begins.

The psalmist lifts his eyes and asks, "From whence comes my help?" He knows the hills cannot help him. His help comes from the Lord, who never slumbers nor sleeps. That means right now, in whatever task lies before you, God is fully awake, fully aware, and nothing about helping you is difficult for Him. One king prayed, "Lord, it is nothing for you to help, whether with many or with those who have no power." Our limitations are no obstacle to Him; the struggle is only when we carry over those limitations in our minds and forget who He is.

Be assured that this is not about earning His assistance. He does not need anything from you, no vows, no frantic promises. He wants your fellowship, your honest dependence. He invites you to call upon Him at all times, even when you feel poor and needy. That is when His grace shows itself strongest, giving you what you do not deserve out of His enduring love.

So set aside any hidden reliance on "Egypt", the empty help of man that will only be a shadow. Vain is the help of man. Turn fully to the One whose word is consistent and whose wisdom never fails. Measure everything by His Scripture, and rest in this: He hears, He delivers, He will not let your foot slip. Cry out to Him, "Make haste to help me, O Lord!" and then trust Him to be your help and your deliverer as you walk through this task.
