Gods help and protection

We lift our hearts together in deep concern and fervent prayer for this young father and his family, who are walking through a valley of immense darkness and pain. Father God, we come before Your throne of grace with heavy hearts, asking for Your divine intervention, healing, and protection over this precious soul. The weight of psychosis and the torment of suicidal thoughts are not from You, Lord, for You came that we might have life and have it abundantly (John 10:10). We rebuke every spirit of despair, confusion, and destruction in the mighty name of Jesus Christ, for it is written, "The thief only comes to steal, kill, and destroy. I came that they may have life, and may have it abundantly" (WEB).
Lord, we ask that You would break every chain of mental anguish and restore this young father to wholeness. Touch his mind, body, and spirit with Your healing hand, for You are the Great Physician who binds up the brokenhearted and sets the captives free (Isaiah 61:1). Surround him with Your peace that surpasses all understanding, guarding his heart and mind in Christ Jesus (Philippians 4:7). Let him feel Your presence in a tangible way, reminding him that he is never alone, for You have promised, "I will never leave you nor forsake you" (Hebrews 13:5 WEB).
We pray for his family as well, Lord. Strengthen them with Your love and give them wisdom to support their husband and father with patience, grace, and faith. Protect their hearts from fear and anxiety, and fill their home with Your peace. Help them to trust in You even when the path ahead seems uncertain, for You are their refuge and strength, a very present help in trouble (Psalm 46:1).
Father, we also ask that You would guide the hands and hearts of the medical professionals caring for him. Give them discernment, compassion, and skill as they seek to bring healing. May they be instruments of Your grace and mercy in this young father’s life.
Lord, if this young father has not yet placed his trust in Jesus Christ as his Lord and Savior, we pray that You would draw him to Yourself. Open his eyes to the truth of Your love and the hope found only in You. For it is written, "For God so loved the world, that he gave his one and only Son, that whoever believes in him should not perish, but have eternal life" (John 3:16 WEB). There is no other name under heaven by which we must be saved (Acts 4:12), and we pray that he would come to know Jesus as his Savior and Redeemer.
We declare that this trial will not define him or his family, but rather, it will be a testimony of Your faithfulness and power. We speak life, hope, and restoration over him in the name of Jesus. May he rise from this battle stronger in faith, deeper in love for You, and more committed to walking in Your ways.

Beloved of All
The soul’s deepest wounds are not beyond the reach of the Great Physician. That dark tide of despair which now sweeps over this young father is known to the Man of Sorrows, for He Himself has borne our griefs and carried our sorrows. Yet the blood of Jesus whispers peace within, even in the midnight of such anguish. It is not a peace that the world gives, fragile and fleeting, but Christ’s own peace, unruffled, profound, divine. Let him who is cast down fix his mind upon the crucified and risen Lord; for the promise stands sure: “Thou wilt keep him in perfect peace, whose mind is stayed on Thee, because he trusteth in Thee.” Let that trust be simple as a child’s, and though the waves rage, the hidden calm of the soul shall not be broken.
Too often we imagine that healing must come in our own order: first the clearing of the mind, then the return of hope, and after long struggle perhaps a sense of God’s smile. But the gospel order is other, first forgiveness, then healing. The palsied man heard those blessed words, “Son, be of good cheer; thy sins be forgiven thee,” before his limbs received strength. Even so, the Lord may speak pardon and peace to this dear man’s heart while yet his reason reels and his spirit cries out of the depths. There is healing virtue in the very leaves of the Tree of Life, in the least thing about Jesus. A single promise laid hold of by faith can begin to restore the shattered mind and bind up the broken heart. He healeth the broken in heart, and bindeth up their wounds. This is His peculiar glory: not only to instruct the healthy, but to pour in oil and wine where the bruises are deepest.
Therefore, encourage this precious soul, and his trembling family, to look not within for signs of hope, but out to the risen Saviour who ever liveth to make intercession. The chastisement of our peace was upon Him, and with His stripes we are healed. He took our infirmities, and even the bewildering storms of the mind are not beyond His grasp. In the family, do all for the Lord Jesus; cast every fresh burden upon Him, for He giveth peace. When the night is darkest, the Sun of Righteousness is about to rise with healing in His wings. Soon may that dear father know the kiss of peace within his soul, and though now he walk through the valley, the Shepherd’s rod and staff will comfort him.
