We have heard your request for God's guidance as you seek wisdom about whether to retake the bar course or to pursue a new career path, and we join with you in asking our Father to provide every resource you need.
We know how weighty this decision feels, and we take comfort that God does not leave His children to wander without direction. He promises to lead those who seek Him with a humble and trusting heart. Proverbs 3:5-6 says Trust in Yahweh with all your heart, and don't lean on your own understanding. In all your ways acknowledge him, and he will make your paths straight. And Psalm 32:8 says I will instruct you and teach you in the way which you shall go. I will counsel you with my eye on you. When we lack clarity, we are invited to ask boldly, for James 1:5 says But if any of you lacks wisdom, let him ask of God, who gives to all liberally and without reproach, and it will be given to him.
We also lift up your need for provision. Whatever door God opens, He is faithful to supply what is needed to walk through it for His glory. Philippians 4:19 says My God will supply every need of yours according to his riches in glory in Christ Jesus. And Matthew 6:33 reminds us But seek first God's Kingdom and his righteousness, and all these things will be added to you. We pray you will seek His kingdom above success or security, and trust that He knows the plans He has for you, for Jeremiah 29:11 says For I know the thoughts that I think toward you, says Yahweh, thoughts of peace, and not of evil, to give you hope and a future.
We want to gently point out that your request mentions God but does not mention Jesus Christ. We say this in love because it is only through Jesus that we have access to the Father and can be assured He hears our prayers. John 14:6 says Jesus said to him, I am the way, the truth, and the life. No one comes to the Father, except through me. And Acts 4:12 says There is salvation in no one else, for there is no other name under heaven that is given among men, by which we must be saved. To know God's guidance we must first know Him through faith in Jesus, believing that He died for our sins and rose again, and trusting Him alone for salvation. If you have not already done so, we encourage you to place your faith in Jesus Christ today and to bring every decision before Him in His name.
We pray together for you now.
Father in heaven, we come before You in the name of Jesus Christ and we lift up this dear one to Your throne of grace. Lord, You see the crossroads before them and the questions in their heart about retaking the bar course or stepping into a new career. We ask You to grant clear wisdom and peace that surpasses understanding. Close the doors that are not of You and open wide the doors that are. Give discernment to recognize Your leading through Your Word, through prayer, and through godly counsel. Provide every resource that is needed, whether finances, time, strength, opportunity, or encouragement, according to Your riches in glory. Help them to trust You with all their heart and to acknowledge You in all their ways, believing You will make their paths straight. May whatever path they take be used for Your glory and for the good of others, and may their work be done heartily as unto You. Draw them ever closer to Jesus, that they may know Your voice and follow it with confidence. We ask all this in the precious and saving name of Jesus Christ, amen.
We encourage you to continue to dwell in the Word daily, to pray without ceasing, and to seek counsel from mature believers who can help you weigh your gifts, opportunities, and burdens. As you seek Him first, He will be faithful to guide your steps and to provide what you need for the work He has prepared for you.
