Father, we confess with the great multitude in heaven, shouting praise, The Lord God Omnipotent Reigns, Rev 19:6... Reign! Ride forth victoriously for the sake of Truth, Humility and Justice, Ps 45:3-4! Restrain Evil, Jn 17:15, We Pray FOR All in Authority, 1 Tim 2:1-2, SAVE OUR LEADERS and THOSE IN OTHER NATIONS around the world to govern justly in Jesus' Name, 1 Tim 2:3-4... Father -- You are Sovereign, "having made from one man all the nations of the earth, determining BOTH their APPOINTED TIMES and EXACT BOUNDARIES of their habitation, Acts 17:26. "Surely the nations are as a drop in a bucket, regarded as the small dust of a balance," Isa 40:15.

Lifting this burden of this Earth to YOU asking YOU to restrain the evil one over Several Unruly Countries, even restrain him over all nations, Jn 16:11, asking You intercept evil plans, miraculously, as Elisha heard the king of Syria and related it to Israel, in 2 Kings 6:12, and how David knew evil had been intended against him by Saul, 1 Sam 20:3, 1 Sam 20:9, 1 Sam 20:27-42.

Bind the spirit of retaliation over these countries, Dan 10:12-13, 14. Please back the evil one off of their leaders and strategists, even using praise and worship, 1 Sam 16:23, Ps 149, Ps 149, Ps 150, et cetera, "From the rising of the sun unto the going down of the same the NAME of The LORD shall be praised," Ps 113:3.

Lead us, our country and our leaders not into temptation, but rather deliver them from evil, Mt 6:13, for we are not ignorant of the devil's schemes, 2 Cor 2:11, a murderer from the beginning and a liar by nature, Jn 8:44.

May the Church ACTUALLY be Your Helpmeet, Gen 2:18, Eph 5:32-33, imitating God, Eph 5:1, even Jesus, who also intercedes for us, Rom 8:34, since You ever live to make intercession for us, Heb 7:25, Jesus Christ, the visible image of the invisible God, Col 1:15, John 14:9. "We heard of Jesus of Nazareth, how He went about doing GOOD and HEALING -- ALL -- who were oppressed by the devil, for You were with Him," Acts 10:38-39, 40, 41, said Peter, who was strictly prohibited to bear false witness, as were all the apostles, Ex 20:16, and as we are too called to be a Holy Nation, and Royal Priesthood, 1 Pet 2:9. We also shall do the works He did, Mt 21:21, Mk 11:23-24, Jn 14:12, in prayer and whatever else He shows us, Jn 15:7.

Spoil the evil one's plans and tactics until they only conform to Your exact will -- and since these things are beyond our limitations, we at least make them the subject of our prayers, confessing our sins and the sins of our nation, Dan 9:20, 1 Tim 2:1-2, 3, 4. Restrain the evil one with a great chain even now in part, Dan 20:2, knowing the fullness will one day be a sight to behold, Luke 10:18, nevertheless thank You for authority, Lk 10:19, but since the devil is temporary, we more gladly rejoice in the things that accompany salvation, Lk 10:20. We stand together in agreement with your powerful declaration of God’s sovereignty over the nations, lifting our voices in praise to the One who reigns forever. The earth is the Lord’s, and everything in it, every leader, every nation, every boundary, exists under His authority (Psalm 24:1). We affirm that no ruler rises or falls apart from His will (Proverbs 21:1), and we boldly petition the throne of grace for those in authority, that they may govern with wisdom, justice, and humility (1 Timothy 2:1-2).

Father, we cry out for Your intervention in the affairs of unruly nations, where the spirit of retaliation, deception, and violence seeks to dominate. You alone have the power to restrain the evil one (John 17:15), to intercept his schemes as You did for Elisha and David (2 Kings 6:12; 1 Samuel 20:3, 9, 27-42), and to turn the hearts of kings wherever You will (Proverbs 21:1). We ask You to bind the forces of darkness that fuel conflict, oppression, and corruption, and to loose Your peace, truth, and righteousness in their place (Daniel 10:12-13). Let Your name be praised from the rising to the setting of the sun (Psalm 113:3), and may the sound of worship displace the plans of the enemy (1 Samuel 16:23; Psalm 149; Psalm 150).

Lord, we recognize that our battle is not against flesh and blood but against spiritual forces of wickedness (Ephesians 6:12). We take up the authority You have given us in Jesus’ name to tread upon serpents and scorpions, knowing that nothing shall by any means harm us (Luke 10:19). Yet even more, we rejoice that our names are written in heaven (Luke 10:20), for salvation is found in no one else but Jesus Christ (Acts 4:12). We confess that apart from Him, we can do nothing (John 15:5), but through Him, we can do all things (Philippians 4:13).

We repent for the times when the Church has failed to be Your helpmeet, called to reflect Your glory and intercede as Christ intercedes for us (Romans 8:34; Hebrews 7:25). Forgive us for passivity, for silence in the face of injustice, and for seeking our own comfort over Your kingdom. Stir us to action, Lord! Let us imitate You as beloved children (Ephesians 5:1), walking in the good works You prepared in advance for us (Ephesians 2:10). As Peter declared, You went about doing good and healing all who were oppressed by the devil (Acts 10:38), and we are called to do the same, through prayer, through truth, and through the power of Your Spirit.

We pray for the leaders of our own nation and those abroad, that they would come to the knowledge of the truth and be saved (1 Timothy 2:3-4). Father, we ask You to hedge them in with Your angels, to surround them with godly counsel, and to fill their hearts with a hunger for righteousness. Deliver them from the temptations of power, greed, and pride, and lead them not into evil but into Your perfect will (Matthew 6:13). We declare that the gates of hell shall not prevail against Your Church (Matthew 16:18), and we stand on the promise that one day, every knee will bow and every tongue confess that Jesus Christ is Lord (Philippians 2:10-11).

In the mighty name of Jesus, we spoil the enemy’s plans and declare that his tactics will only serve Your purposes (Genesis 50:20). We thank You for the victory already won at the cross, where Jesus disarmed principalities and powers, making a public spectacle of them (Colossians 2:15). We bind the spirit of retaliation, confusion, and division, and we loose the spirit of unity, clarity, and peace. May Your kingdom come and Your will be done on earth as it is in heaven (Matthew 6:10).

We commit ourselves afresh to prayer, to holiness, and to the work of reconciliation. Let us be a holy nation and a royal priesthood (1 Peter 2:9), shining as lights in a dark world (Philippians 2:15). Empower us to do the works that Jesus did, and greater works, because He has gone to the Father (John 14:12). May our lives and our prayers be a sweet fragrance to You, a living sacrifice, holy and pleasing (Romans 12:1).

We trust in Your unfailing love, O Lord, and we wait expectantly for Your deliverance. Maranatha, come, Lord Jesus! Until that day, we will not grow weary in doing good, for in due season, we will reap if we do not give up (Galatians 6:9). To You be the glory, forever and ever. Amen.

What a weight you’re carrying, the kind of deep ache for the nations that can keep you up at night. We hear it in your words: a longing for God to rise up, to restrain what is dark, to turn leaders toward justice. And we just want to sit with you in that, not with another scripture, but with genuine recognition of the burden you’re bringing.

Interceding like this can feel lonely, as if you’re shouting into a storm. But what you’re doing matters more than you know. Persistent prayer is never wasted; it’s like steady rain on hard ground. The fact that this burden grips you is itself a kind of participation in what the Spirit is already doing in the world. You are not carrying this alone. The Church groans with you, even when you can’t see it.

Sometimes the most practical next step is simply to keep breathing these requests day by day, but also to let others help you hold them. If there’s a prayer partner, a small group, or a local gathering that shares your heart for intercession, lean into that. Sharing the burden with a few other faithful people can keep the fire steady without exhausting you. We don’t have to hold up the whole world ourselves.

We join you now in that quiet place before the throne. Father, in Jesus’ name we lift the nations before You. Restrain the evil that seeks to destroy, and move leaders toward humility and true justice. Protect the vulnerable. Breathe fresh courage into Your Church to be Your praying people, faithful in the small moments, trusting Your unseen hand. Surround this faithful intercessor with hope and refreshment. Amen.

This is the very essence of prayer that honors God. It is a truthful recognition that He sits as King above the flood, that the nations are but dust in the balance, and that the hearts of all rulers are in His hand. To cry out to the Lord of Hosts to ride forth victoriously for truth, humility, and justice, this is the sweetness of intercessory prayer, the kind that rises as incense before the throne. It brings honor to God in the very act, for it confesses that salvation and deliverance are of the Lord alone. He only is the rock and the hope of His people; there is no other arm to lean upon, no other power to restrain the raging of the adversary.

You have asked that the evil one be bound, that his schemes be spoiled, and that leaders be delivered from temptation and brought to salvation. This is no small thing, yet it is the very work for which the Church is appointed as a royal priesthood. Remember, intercessory prayer fits you to become God’s instrument. As you plead for nations and kings, your own soul is stretched and enlarged, woven into the purposes of Him who determines the appointed times and exact boundaries of men. And what is the ultimate good we seek for them? It is not merely restraint of outward evil, but that they might look unto Christ and be saved. The Scripture saith, “Whosoever believeth on Him shall not be ashamed.” This is the simple, four-letter way of salvation: Look! Look! God has laid a foundation in Zion, and the proudest monarch must stoop to this same door of mercy.

Yet know this: the devil often cradles men in a false peace, a peace that comes from forgetting God. A leader may vaunt himself, imagining he is divine, while his heart is at enmity with the Almighty. Therefore, our prayer must pierce deeper than common providences. Cry out that their false peace be shattered by the sword of Truth, that they might know the worst of their case, and so flee to the wounds of Christ for a true and lasting peace. There is no peace, saith my God, to the wicked, but a peace that flows from the blood of the Cross passes all understanding.

Be encouraged, for intercessory prayer is exceedingly prevalent. It has stayed plagues and overturned the counsels of Ahithophel. The Lord hearkens to the voice of a man, even wrestling Jacob grasping the covenant promise. Seize the argument from the covenant, the God of Abraham, Isaac, and Jacob is your God. Plead the blood of the everlasting testament. And when the answer tarries, though you feel a touch of human weakness, let it drive you closer to the Divine Man whose delights are with the sons of men. He ever liveth to make intercession, and your prayer, joined to His, cannot fail. The ultimate arbiter is prayer; let the God that answereth by fire be God. Continue to confess the sins of the people, standing in the gap, and look for the day when the Lord’s great chain shall be fully seen and the accuser cast down forever. Until then, rejoice that your names are written in heaven, and give Him no rest until He establish Jerusalem a praise in the earth.

You set before God a great petition, calling upon His sovereignty and asking Him to restrain the evil one and save the rulers of the nations. This is right and good, for the Apostle charges us to make supplications, prayers, intercessions, and thanksgivings for all in authority. But consider well the state of your own heart as you lift up such prayers. Do you come with holy hands, free from wrath and doubting? For if you harbor anger against the very ones for whom you intercede, you contradict your own prayer, and you provoke God rather than appease Him. You ask that the spirit of retaliation be bound; begin then by binding it in your own soul. Forgive any wrong done to you by these leaders, bless them, and give thanks for every good that befalls them, yes, even for the sun that shines upon the unjust. Unless you turn from your own evil way and confess your own sins alongside those of the nation, your words will be empty noise.

Moreover, do not imagine that the restraint of evil depends upon your own command. The Strong Man has already been bound by Christ, who walks upon the sea as upon a pavement and possesses all authority in heaven and on earth. He ever lives to make intercession for us, saving to the uttermost those who come to God through Him. Why then do you speak as though you must inform God of His business, reciting Scriptures as if to stir Him to action? He has fixed the boundaries of nations and their appointed times; no ruler rises or falls apart from His will. It is your part to join your feeble prayers to the ceaseless intercession of the High Priest, trusting not in the multitude of your words but in His one all-sufficient sacrifice.

You wish the Church to be a true helpmeet to the Lord. Then imitate Christ, who did not retaliate when reviled, but suffered for the unjust, entrusting Himself to the One who judges justly. Salvation consists not in doing evil but in suffering it. The victory of the Church is not won by political schemes or by forcefully commanding evil to cease, but by patient endurance, by psalms and spiritual songs, by teaching and admonishing one another in all wisdom. Train your children to sing the songs of David, not the corrupt tunes of the world, and fill your own mouth with praise rather than with fretful instructions to the Almighty. The Lord Omnipotent reigns, but His reign is made manifest in this age through a crucified people.

Do not neglect so great a salvation by reducing it to the shifting fortunes of nations. The eternal kingdom has come to you in Christ; it will not be shaken. Therefore, give thanks in everything, even when wicked men seem to prosper, for God dispenses all things for the good of those who love Him. Pray that the rulers be saved, yes, but pray also that you yourself may be found faithful on that Day. For if we deny Him by a life of bitterness and uncharity, He will deny us, and that retribution is far more dreadful than any earthly tyranny. Make your appeal to God with a humble and forgiving spirit, and leave the timing and manner of His justice to Him.
