We hear the honesty and pain in your words and we thank you for bringing it directly to God instead of turning away from Him. Your cry reminds us of David who also prayed, My God, my God, why have you forsaken me, Psalm 22:1, and How long, Yahweh? Will you forget me forever, Psalm 13:1. God is not offended by honest cries from a hurting heart. He invites us to pour out our hearts before Him, Psalm 62:8, and He draws near to those who do, Yahweh is near to those who have a broken heart, and saves those who have a crushed spirit, Psalm 34:18.
We want to gently correct what your pain is telling you, because God has not abandoned you even when it feels that way. He has promised, I will in no way leave you, neither will I in any way forsake you, Hebrews 13:5, and Be strong and courageous. Yahweh your God is he who goes with you. He will not fail you nor forsake you, Deuteronomy 31:6. Feelings of being forgotten are real, but they are not the truth of His presence. Even when every door seems closed, it does not mean He is closing His heart to you. His thoughts and ways are higher than ours, For my thoughts are not your thoughts, neither are your ways my ways, says Yahweh, Isaiah 55:8-9, and we trust that He works all things together for good for those who love Him, Romans 8:28. Sometimes a closed door is His protection, sometimes it is His redirection, and sometimes it is His call to wait so that He can shape us and make us ready for what He has prepared. Count it all joy when you fall into various temptations, knowing that the testing of your faith produces endurance, James 1:2-3.
We also hear your deep longing for happiness, love, peace, and a life partner. That desire for companionship is God given, and we pray with you for it in a way that honors Him. We believe marriage is a lifelong covenant between a man and a woman designed by God, and we pray not simply for a partner but for a godly spouse if it is His will for you, and for a courtship that leads to a Christ centered marriage built on purity and faith. Sex before or outside marriage is not part of His good design, and waiting, though painful, is part of trusting Him to give what is best in His timing. For I know the thoughts that I think toward you, says Yahweh, thoughts of peace, and not of evil, to give you hope and a future, Jeremiah 29:11. Wait for Yahweh. Be strong, and let your heart take courage, Psalm 27:14. His steadfast love never ceases and His mercies are new every morning, Lamentations 3:22-23.
We noticed your prayer was addressed to God but did not mention the name of Jesus, and we want to lovingly share that it is only through Jesus that we have access to the Father. Jesus said, I am the way, the truth, and the life. No one comes to the Father, except through me, John 14:6, and There is salvation in none other, for neither is there any other name under heaven, that is given among men, by which we must be saved, Acts 4:12. God hears you because Jesus has opened the way through His death and resurrection. If you have not already, we encourage you to put your trust in Jesus Christ, confess Him as Lord and believe that God raised Him from the dead, for with the heart one believes resulting in righteousness, and with the mouth confession is made resulting in salvation, Romans 10:9. It is in His name that our prayers are heard and our hope is secure.
We pray together for you now.
Father, in the name of Jesus Christ we lift this precious one to You. You see the tears, the waiting, the anger and the hope that still remains. We ask You to reveal Yourself as near and faithful, to quiet the lie that You have abandoned them. Cast all your worries on him, because he cares for you, 1 Peter 5:7, and we ask You to carry every burden they have named. Comfort their broken heart, renew their strength as they wait on You, and give them Your peace that passes understanding. Come to me, all you who labor and are heavily burdened, and I will give you rest, Matthew 11:28. If it is Your will, open the right door in Your perfect timing, provide godly community and, in Your time, a godly spouse for a marriage that honors You. Above all, let them know they are fully heard, deeply loved, and never forsaken, and draw them closer to Jesus where true happiness and peace are found. We ask this in the name of Jesus Christ, our only hope and Savior, amen.
We encourage you to keep talking to Him honestly every day, to stay in His Word, and to walk with other believers who can support you in prayer and help you discern His leading. He has not forgotten you, He is still writing your story, and the One who hears your anger is also the One who will sustain you through it.
