God wants me to know. Trust in the lord.

We hear your heart’s cry for assurance and comfort, and we stand with you in seeking God’s truth and presence in this season. The promises you’ve shared—of God’s support, His nearness, and His remembrance of you—are indeed found in Scripture, but let us ground them firmly in the Word so you may walk in full confidence.

First, we must address the name by which we approach God. There is no other name under heaven by which we can be saved or through which we have access to the Father except the name of Jesus Christ (Acts 4:12). It is only through faith in Him that we are reconciled to God. If you have not yet surrendered your life to Jesus, we urge you to do so today. Confess your sins, believe in your heart that God raised Him from the dead, and you will be saved (Romans 10:9-10). Without this foundation, our prayers and hopes rest on shaky ground.

Now, to your request for trust and assurance: The Lord does indeed promise never to leave or forsake His children. In Deuteronomy 31:8, He declares, *"The Lord himself goes before you and will be with you; he will never leave you nor forsake you. Do not be afraid; do not be discouraged."* And in Isaiah 41:10, He says, *"Don’t you be afraid, for I am with you. Don’t be dismayed, for I am your God. I will strengthen you. Yes, I will help you. Yes, I will uphold you with the right hand of my righteousness."* These verses are not just poetic words—they are living promises for those who belong to Christ.

Yet, we must also examine the source of the assurances you’ve received. While God speaks through His Word, we must be cautious of subjective feelings or signs that may not align with Scripture. The enemy often disguises himself as an angel of light (2 Corinthians 11:14), and his goal is to deceive and lead us away from God’s truth. Test every spirit and every word against the Bible (1 John 4:1). If the assurances you’ve received contradict Scripture—such as encouraging sin, idolatry, or false teachings—we must reject them outright.

If you are feeling alone, we encourage you to draw near to God through prayer, reading His Word, and fellowship with other believers. Loneliness can often be a tool the enemy uses to isolate us, but God calls us into community. Hebrews 10:24-25 urges us, *"Let us consider how to provoke one another to love and good works, not forsaking our own assembling together, as the custom of some is, but exhorting one another; and so much the more, as you see the Day approaching."* Seek out a biblical church where you can grow in faith and be encouraged by others.

Let us pray for you now:

Heavenly Father, we come before You in the mighty name of Jesus, lifting up our dear brother/sister who is seeking Your presence and assurance. Lord, we thank You that You are a God who sees, who hears, and who remembers. We ask that You would draw near to them in this season, reminding them of Your unfailing love and faithfulness. Father, if there is any area of their life where they have placed their trust in anything other than You—whether it be signs, feelings, or the words of others—we ask that You would reveal the truth to them and align their heart with Your Word.

Lord, we rebuke the spirit of loneliness and isolation that may be trying to take hold. We declare that You are with them, walking beside them every step of the way. Strengthen their faith, Father, and help them to root themselves in Your promises. Surround them with godly believers who can encourage and uplift them. If there is unconfessed sin in their life, we ask that You would bring it to light and lead them to repentance, so that nothing hinders their relationship with You.

We pray for clarity, Lord. If the assurances they’ve received are from You, confirm them through Your Word and the testimony of other believers. If they are not from You, expose the deception and lead them back to the truth. Father, we ask that You would fill them with Your peace, which surpasses all understanding, and guard their heart and mind in Christ Jesus (Philippians 4:7).

We thank You, Lord, that You are faithful, and Your promises are yes and amen in Christ Jesus (2 Corinthians 1:20). May our brother/sister walk in the fullness of Your presence and experience the reality of Your nearness. In Jesus’ name we pray, Amen.

In the days ahead, hold fast to God’s Word. Meditate on Scriptures that speak of His faithfulness, such as Psalm 23, Psalm 91, and Lamentations 3:22-23. Spend time in prayer, not just asking God for things, but listening for His voice. And remember, the Christian life is not meant to be walked alone. Seek out fellowship with other believers who can pray with you, encourage you, and hold you accountable.

If you are struggling with sin—whether it be doubt, fear, or something else—do not hide it. Confess it to God and to a trusted believer who can walk with you in repentance and restoration. 1 John 1:9 assures us, *"If we confess our sins, he is faithful and righteous to forgive us the sins, and to cleanse us from all unrighteousness."* There is no condemnation for those who are in Christ Jesus (Romans 8:1), but there is also no growth without honesty and repentance.

Finally, we encourage you to surrender every area of your life to God. Trusting Him means laying down our own plans, our own desires, and even our own understanding, and submitting to His will (Proverbs 3:5-6). It may not always be easy, but it is always worth it. God’s ways are higher than our ways, and His thoughts are higher than our thoughts (Isaiah 55:8-9). Walk in obedience to Him, and you will experience the fullness of His blessings and presence.

We're right there with you, friend. It's tough when we feel alone, but remember, even when we can't see or feel Him, God is always there, walking beside us. He's promised us in His Word, "I will never leave you nor forsake you" (Hebrews 13:5). That's not just a nice thought, it's a solid promise we can hold onto.

We've all had moments where we feel God's presence strongly, but it's important to test those feelings against His Word. If something doesn't align with the Bible, it's not from God, no matter how good it feels. Let's make sure our foundation is firm, built on the solid rock of Jesus Christ and His Word.

Let's also not forget, we're not meant to go through life alone. God's called us into community. So, let's reach out, find a good church, and fellowship with other believers. They can encourage us, pray with us, and help keep us accountable.

We're praying for you, dear friend. We're asking God to draw near, to remind you of His unfailing love and faithfulness. We're also asking Him to reveal any areas where you might be trusting in something other than Him, and to help you align your heart with His Word.

Keep holding onto God's promises, keep seeking Him, and keep walking in obedience. He's always with you, even when you can't feel Him. And remember, we're here for you too. Let's keep encouraging each other, just as He's called us to do.
