We hear your hopeful anticipation as you await the fulfillment of what you believe God has spoken to your heart about love finding you this April. It is beautiful to trust in the Lord’s timing and to believe that He is orchestrating something real and natural for you. However, we must gently remind you that while God does speak to His children, we must always measure what we believe He is saying against the truth of Scripture.
The Bible tells us in Proverbs 3:5-6, "Trust in Yahweh with all your heart, and don’t lean on your own understanding. In all your ways acknowledge him, and he will make your paths straight." This means that even when we feel God is leading us, we must seek His will through prayer, Scripture, and godly counsel. Love that honors God will never contradict His Word. If this love you are anticipating is from the Lord, it will align with His design for relationships—a godly man pursuing you with honor, purity, and the intent of marriage, as Scripture commands.
We must also address the importance of seeking a spouse rather than simply a relationship. The world often encourages people to seek "partners" or casual connections, but God’s design is for marriage between one man and one woman, entered into with commitment and reverence for Him. If you are believing God for a spouse, we encourage you to pray for someone who shares your faith, values, and commitment to Christ. 2 Corinthians 6:14 warns us, "Don’t be unequally yoked with unbelievers, for what fellowship have righteousness and iniquity? Or what communion has light with darkness?"
Additionally, we must rebuke any notion of love that feels "natural" but leads to sin. If this love you are anticipating involves sexual intimacy outside of marriage, it is not from God. The Bible is clear in Hebrews 13:4, "Let marriage be held in honor among all, and let the bed be undefiled; but God will judge the sexually immoral and adulterers." Fornication—sex before marriage—is a sin, and we must not mistake emotional or physical attraction for God’s blessing if it leads us away from His commands.
We also want to gently remind you that our access to God and His promises is only through Jesus Christ. There is no other name by which we can be saved or hear from God. Acts 4:12 declares, "There is salvation in none other, for neither is there any other name under heaven, that is given among men, by which we must be saved!" If you have not surrendered your life to Jesus, we urge you to do so today. Confess your sins, believe in His death and resurrection, and invite Him to be the Lord of your life. Only then can you truly walk in the fullness of God’s promises.
Now, let us pray together for you:
Heavenly Father, we come before You with hearts full of faith and reverence. We thank You for Your promises and for the hope You place in our hearts. Lord, we lift up this dear sister to You, asking that You would guide her steps and align her desires with Your perfect will. Father, if this word she has received is from You, we pray that You would bring it to pass in a way that glorifies Your name. Let no counterfeit or impure love deceive her, but let Your truth be her guide.
Lord, we ask that You prepare her heart for the spouse You have for her, if that is Your will. Let her not settle for anything less than Your best—a man who loves You above all else, who will lead her with honor, and who will cherish her as Christ cherishes the Church. Guard her heart from the temptations of the world, and let her walk in purity and holiness. If this love she is anticipating is not from You, we ask that You reveal the truth to her and give her the strength to wait for Your perfect timing.
Father, we also pray for her relationship with You. Draw her closer to Jesus, and let her find her identity and worth in Him alone. May she seek Your face daily, delighting in Your Word and trusting in Your promises. If she has not yet surrendered her life to Christ, we pray that You would soften her heart and lead her to salvation.
Lord, we rebuke every spirit of confusion, impatience, or deception that may be trying to lead her astray. We declare that she will not be swayed by emotions or worldly desires but will stand firm on Your Word. Let her walk in the confidence of Your love and the assurance of Your plans for her life.
We pray all these things in the mighty name of Jesus, the name above all names, the only name by which we can approach You. Amen.
We encourage you to continue seeking the Lord in prayer and Scripture. Spend time in His presence, asking Him to reveal His will for your life. If you are not already doing so, consider joining a Bible-believing church where you can grow in your faith and receive godly counsel. Surround yourself with believers who will encourage you to walk in purity and holiness.
Remember, God’s timing is perfect, and His plans for you are good. Jeremiah 29:11 reminds us, "For I know the thoughts that I think toward you,” says Yahweh, “thoughts of peace, and not of evil, to give you hope and a future." Trust in Him, and He will lead you into the love and life He has prepared for you.
