Father we thank You for ordaining government through Adam, and Pray for Our Presidents, V.P.s, Secretaries of State and Defense, DOJ, Congress (House and Senate, Parliaments, Legislators) Federal Judges and Supreme Court Justices that need our prayers and support. We ask that they rule as submitted to God and rule well in accord with Scripture, as "Rulers are to write for themselves a copy of the Law of GOD upon inauguration," Deut 17:18. Furthermore, we ask for wisdom, guidance, godliness and unity for our nation's defense: The Pentagon, Joint Chiefs of Staff, Generals, Military Commanders and other Bureaus, Intelligence, and those of all peoples who need Christ, Your wisdom and Your sovereignty (which we participate with GOD in governing, Gen 1:26, Ps 115:16, through cooperating with His intentions and ways, Ps 86:11, through Your Word, Deut 17:18, Josh 8:32, 2 Tim 3:15-16, God-given Counsel, Prov 11:14, Prov 24:6, and Prayer, Gen 1:26, Ps 115:16, 1 Tim 2:1-4).

Father, we seek first Your Kingdom and Righteousness, Matt 6:33, we cry out for wisdom and protection continually Ps 72:15, Luke 18:1, Eph 1:16, for these human individuals in positions of world influence, Rom 13:4, asking Your mercy, guidance and counsel from Your Word, and protection. Keep them from the evil one, 2 Kings 6:12, Jn 17:15, imposters and evil people, 2 Tim 3:13, let them turn away from such false people, 2 Tim 3:5, and let the evil ones be replaced, Ps 75:6-7, Ps 109:8, Acts 1:20.

We concede that there are no perfect rulers and actually see the wisdom in asking, "Your Kingdom Come, Your Will Be Done on Earth as it is in Heaven, Matt 6:10. Come Lord Jesus.

In the interim, let these leaders know what to do, James 1:5, what to set as priorities and help them FULLY carry out Your purposes in their generation, as King David served Your purposes, Acts 13:36. Keep them from sin, 1 Cor 8:1, lead them NOT into temptation, Luke 11:4, yes we ask, lead them not into temptation, deliver them from all evil, Matt 6:13, even the evil one, Rev 12:9, Jn 17:15. It is written, You will keep them from the evil one, 2 Thes 3:3. You will give Your angels charge over them, Ps 91:11-13. Thank You in advance, Matt 11:23-24, as we trust in You with all our hearts and pray, not lean on our own understanding, Prov 3:5-6, in Jesus Name, since there is "no other Name given among men by which we must be saved, Acts 4:12, John 14:6, 1 Tim 2:5, again with thanksgiving we offer these requests, let now the peace of God guard our hearts and minds in Christ Jesus, Phil 4:6-7, The Amen, Faithful Witness and Originator of God's New Creation, Rev 3:14, even the Name of Jesus Christ, from whose Full Inheritance we each receive blessing after blessing, John 1:16, Eph 1:3, Eph 1:17-20, and in Him all God's Promises are Yes and Amen, 2 Cor 1:20.

We join with you in this faithful and timely prayer for those in authority, for we share your burden that God would reign through rulers by His Word and by godly counsel.

We agree that government is ordained by God and that He desires us to pray for all who are in high places. As it is written, I exhort therefore, first of all, that petitions, prayers, intercessions, and givings of thanks be made for all men, for kings and all who are in high places, that we may lead a tranquil and quiet life in all godliness and reverence. For this is good and acceptable in the sight of God our Savior, who desires all people to be saved and come to full knowledge of the truth, 1 Timothy 2:1-4. We also remember, Let every soul be in subjection to the higher authorities, for there is no authority except from God, and those who exist are ordained by God, Romans 13:1, and that promotion does not come from the east, nor from the west, nor yet from the south, but God is the judge, He puts down one, and lifts up another, Psalm 75:6-7.

We are encouraged by your heart to pray according to Deuteronomy 17:18 that rulers would write for themselves a copy of the law of God and be guided by it, and that they would govern as those made in His image to have dominion under Him, Genesis 1:26-27, and as those who understand that the heavens are the Lord's heavens, but the earth he has given to the children of men, Psalm 115:16. We agree that where there is no wise guidance, the nation falls, but in the multitude of counselors there is victory, Proverbs 11:14, and for by wise guidance you wage your war, and victory is in many advisors, Proverbs 24:6.

We lift up together Presidents, Vice Presidents, Secretaries of State and Defense, the Department of Justice, Congress, House and Senate, Parliaments and Legislators where they exist, Federal Judges and Supreme Court Justices, and all in our nation's defense including the Pentagon, Joint Chiefs of Staff, Generals, Military Commanders, intelligence and other bureaus. We ask the Father to grant them wisdom, for if any of you lacks wisdom, let him ask of God, who gives to all liberally and without reproach, and it will be given to him, James 1:5, and to lead them not into temptation, but deliver them from the evil one, Matthew 6:13, Luke 11:4. We ask that He keep them from the evil one as Jesus prayed, I pray not that you would take them from the world, but that you would keep them from the evil one, John 17:15, and that the Lord is faithful, who will establish you and guard you from the evil one, 2 Thessalonians 3:3, and that He will give His angels charge over them to keep them in all their ways, Psalm 91:11.

We also join you in praying for protection from falsehood, imposters, moles, leaks and evil plans, for evil men and impostors will grow worse and worse, deceiving and being deceived, 2 Timothy 3:13, and we ask as with Elisha that God would intercept and reveal the counsel of the wicked, for we remember how the prophet told the king of Israel the words that the enemy spoke in his bedroom, 2 Kings 6:12. We pray that our leaders would have discernment to turn away from those holding a form of godliness but denying its power, 2 Timothy 3:5, those who profess that they know God, but by their deeds they deny him, Titus 1:16, and that God would remove the corrupt and establish the faithful, as it is written, Let his days be few, let another take his office, Psalm 109:8, Acts 1:20.

We thank you for praying in the name of Jesus Christ, for you have rightly remembered that there is salvation in no one else, for there is no other name under heaven that is given among men, by which we must be saved, Acts 4:12, and Jesus said, I am the way, the truth, and the life. No one comes to the Father except through me, John 14:6, and there is one God and one mediator between God and men, the man Christ Jesus, 1 Timothy 2:5. It is only through Him that our prayers have access to the Father and that rulers and peoples can be saved.

So we pray together:

Father, in the name of Jesus Christ, we seek first Your Kingdom and Your righteousness, Matthew 6:33, and we ask Your Kingdom come, Your will be done on earth as it is in heaven, Matthew 6:10. We thank You for ordaining authority and we ask for mercy, guidance and godliness for all who lead and defend our nation and the nations. Cause them to submit to You and to Your Word, to write Your law upon their hearts, to love what You love and hate what You hate, and to rule well in accord with Scripture. Grant them good counsel and unity, keep them from sin and from the snares of flattery, bribery, pride and deception. Expose and remove false believers and evil counselors and replace them with faithful men and women who fear You. Protect them from every evil plan and from the evil one, guard their hearts and minds in Christ Jesus, and let the peace of God which surpasses all understanding guard their hearts and minds, Philippians 4:7. Help them to fully carry out Your purposes in their generation as David served the counsel of God in his own generation, Acts 13:36, and to do so with humility, trusting You with all their heart and not leaning on their own understanding, Proverbs 3:5-6. We pray also for their salvation and for all peoples who need Christ, that they would come to the knowledge of the truth and be saved. We trust You with thanksgiving, believing You hear us, for Your Word says if we ask anything according to Your will You hear us. We ask all this in the faithful name of Jesus Christ, in whom all the promises of God are Yes and Amen, 2 Corinthians 1:20, Amen.

Thank you for sharing this burden for our leaders and our nation. We hear your heart to see those in authority live with wisdom, integrity, and a real submission to God, and to see our country marked by peace and protection from evil plans.

Carrying so many people and offices before the Lord at once can feel heavy. We are encouraged by your faithfulness in bringing them to God regularly and specifically, from the White House and Congress to the courts, the Pentagon, and those serving in intelligence and other bureaus. God sees each person behind the title and knows the pressures and decisions they face every day.

One thing that has helped others with a similar burden is to keep it sustainable. You might consider keeping a simple list and praying through just a few offices or names each day rather than all at once, so you can continue steadily without growing weary. We will join you in that work.

We are praying with you and are grateful for your example of seeking God's will first.

Father, we thank You for hearing us when we pray for those who lead. We ask You to give wisdom, clear counsel and protection to each person in authority, to guard them from evil and guide them toward what is good and right. Draw each one closer to Yourself and help them carry out the responsibilities You have entrusted to them with humility. We ask this in Jesus' name, amen.

Your prayer for those in authority is comely and scriptural, and we join our voices with yours at the mercy seat. It is written that supplications and prayers and intercessions should be made for kings and for all that are in authority, that we may lead a quiet and peaceable life in all godliness and honesty, and this is good and acceptable in the sight of God our Saviour.

We entreat the Lord with you that He who ordained government and gave man dominion would reign through rulers by His Word. May those who bear the sword, Presidents and Vice Presidents, Secretaries and judges, legislators and magistrates, and all who are set for the defense of the nation, be brought to write the law of God upon their hearts and to walk according to it, as it is written that the ruler shall write for himself a copy of the law. For wisdom is man's true path, the compass by which he must steer across the trackless waste of life, and the price of wisdom is above rubies. Worldly wisdom and fine oratory cannot save a people, but the counsel of the Lord, that Incarnate Wisdom who speaks out of the Word of God, can make a nation to stand.

We pray with you for good counsel in the multitude of counsellors, and for protection from falsehood and from evil plans. As with Elisha, may the Lord intercept what is plotted in secret and reveal it for the preservation of the innocent. We ask that He who keepeth Israel, who neither slumbers nor sleeps, would keep these men and women night and day, lest any hurt them, and keep them also from the evil one, and from imposters and evil workers who creep in unawares. Where there is unfaithfulness, may the Lord in His sovereignty remove and replace, for promotion cometh neither from the east nor from the west, but God is the judge.

We do not look for perfect rulers among the sons of men, for we have learned to resolve every difficulty by appealing to the wisdom of God and to lean upon the power of God. We therefore pray as our Lord taught us, Thy kingdom come, Thy will be done on earth as it is in heaven, knowing that what He does is always best. In the meantime we ask that He would give to those in high place a holy fear, which is a fountain of life, and true wisdom to know what to do and what to set in order, that each might serve his generation by the will of God as David did.

We pray that they may be kept from sin and led not into temptation, but delivered from evil, and that the Church may so hedge them about with prayer that blessings may come even upon those who as yet know not Christ. Above all we pray for their salvation, for there is one God and one mediator between God and men, the man Christ Jesus, and there is none other name under heaven given among men whereby we must be saved.

We lay these petitions before the Father with thanksgiving, trusting not in our own understanding but in Him who is able to give His angels charge over His people, and we ask all in the name of Jesus Christ, in whom all the promises of God are yea and amen, that the peace of God which passeth all understanding may guard our hearts and minds through Him. Your prayer for those in authority is heard and it is good, for it is according to Scripture. We join you in it and give thanks with you for the mercy of God who ordains order among men and who desires all people to be saved and to come to the knowledge of the truth through Jesus Christ, for there is no other name given among men by which we must be saved.

We agree to ask the Lord to reign through His Word over all who bear rule, from presidents and vice presidents to secretaries, legislators, judges and justices, and over those entrusted with the defense of the nation, the commanders and counselors and all who serve in intelligence and in the armed forces. We ask that He grant them wisdom and good counsel, that they may seek His will and walk in godliness, and that they may govern in submission to Him, remembering that true wisdom comes from His law and His counsel. We pray that He will give them clarity to know what to do and to set right priorities, and strength to carry out His purposes in their generation.

We also pray as you have asked for protection, that the Lord will keep them from the evil one and from every evil plan, that He will expose falsehood and guard them from imposters and from those who speak lies, and that He will surround them with faithful counsel. Prayer is a great weapon, and when we have first made God favorable to us by prayer and supplication and thanksgiving, we go forth into the daily strife with security. Therefore we will continue to pray early and late, with thanksgiving for all His benefits, both known and unknown, asking Him to lead these leaders not into temptation and to deliver them from evil, and to station His angels charge over them.

We know there are no perfect rulers, and so with you we pray Your kingdom come, Your will be done on earth as it is in heaven, and we look for the coming of our Lord Jesus.
