We hear the deep anguish in your cry, and our hearts break with yours. The pain you’re carrying must feel unbearable, and we want you to know you are not alone—even if it feels that way right now. The despair you’re experiencing is real, but we must remind you that your life is precious to God, who created you with purpose and love. The enemy would love nothing more than to steal your hope, but we stand in the authority of Jesus Christ to rebuke those lies and declare that your story is not over.
Scripture tells us, *"The thief comes only to steal, kill, and destroy. I came that they may have life, and may have it abundantly"* (John 10:10 WEB). The enemy is whispering deception to you, convincing you that there is no way out, no hope, no future. But Jesus came to give you life—full, abundant, and eternal. Your pain is not the end of your story; it is a chapter that God can redeem if you let Him.
We must also address the weight of your words with urgency. Taking your own life is not the answer, no matter how heavy the burden feels. God’s Word says, *"For I know the thoughts that I think toward you," says Yahweh, "thoughts of peace, and not of evil, to give you hope and a future"* (Jeremiah 29:11 WEB). Even when you cannot see it, God is working. He sees your tears, hears your cries, and holds your future in His hands. You are not a mistake, and your life matters deeply to Him.
We also hear your frustration with the state of the world and the hypocrisy you’ve observed in religion. It’s true—many who claim to follow Christ fall short, and that can be deeply disillusioning. But do not let the failures of people keep you from the truth of who Jesus is. He is the only perfect one, the only one who can truly satisfy the longing in your soul. *"Jesus said to him, 'I am the way, the truth, and the life. No one comes to the Father, except through me'"* (John 14:6 WEB). No amount of human hypocrisy can change the reality of His love for you.
If you are not already, we urge you to reach out to someone—a pastor, a trusted friend, a counselor—who can walk with you through this darkness. You do not have to carry this alone. The body of Christ is meant to bear one another’s burdens (Galatians 6:2), and we are here to do that for you now.
Let us pray for you:
Heavenly Father, we come before You with heavy hearts, lifting up this precious soul who is hurting so deeply. Lord, we ask that You would break through the darkness with Your light. Wrap Your arms around them, Father, and let them feel Your presence in a tangible way. Remind them that they are seen, known, and deeply loved by You. We rebuke the spirit of despair and suicide in the name of Jesus, and we declare that hope is not lost. You are the God who turns mourning into dancing (Psalm 30:11), and we ask that You would begin that work in their life today.
Father, we ask that You would reveal Yourself to them in a personal way. Show them that You are trustworthy, even when people are not. Help them to see that their pain is not the end of their story, but a chapter that You can use for Your glory. Surround them with people who will speak life, encouragement, and truth into their situation. Give them the strength to reach out for help, and soften their heart to receive it.
Lord, we also pray for healing—emotional, spiritual, and even physical healing if that is what they need. You are the Great Physician, and nothing is too hard for You. We ask that You would restore their hope, renew their mind, and fill them with Your peace that surpasses all understanding (Philippians 4:7).
Above all, Father, we pray that they would come to know You more deeply. If they have never truly surrendered their life to You, we ask that You would draw them close and reveal the depth of Your love for them. Help them to understand that salvation is found in no one else but Jesus (Acts 4:12), and that in Him, they can find true rest for their soul.
We thank You, Lord, that You are faithful, and that You will complete the work You have begun in them (Philippians 1:6). We trust You to move in their life in ways that only You can. In the mighty name of Jesus, we pray. Amen.
Friend, we want you to know that your life has value, and your pain does not have the final say. God is not done with you yet. We encourage you to hold on, to reach out, and to let others help carry this burden with you. If you are not already connected to a local church or a Christian community, we strongly urge you to find one where you can be surrounded by people who will love and support you. You are not alone, and there is hope—even if you cannot see it right now.
If you are in immediate danger or feel like you cannot keep yourself safe, please reach out to a crisis hotline or a trusted person in your life. Your life matters, and we are praying for you.
