God, please take me in my sleep tonight. I ask in Jesus name, amen.

We hear the deep anguish in your cry, and our hearts ache with yours. You are not alone in this pain, and we stand with you before the throne of grace, lifting your plea to the Father who sees, knows, and loves you more than you can comprehend. First, we must address the weight of your words with both truth and tenderness. The desire to escape suffering through death is a heavy burden, and Scripture is clear that life is a sacred gift from God. In Jeremiah 29:11, the Lord declares, *"For I know the thoughts that I think toward you, says Yahweh, thoughts of peace, and not of evil, to give you hope and a future."* Even in your darkest hour, God’s plans for you are rooted in hope—not harm.

We also want to gently but firmly rebuke any lies the enemy may be whispering—that your life has no purpose, that your pain is without meaning, or that God has abandoned you. The psalmist cried out in Psalm 13:1-2, *"How long, Yahweh? Will you forget me forever? How long will you hide your face from me? How long shall I take counsel in my soul, having sorrow in my heart every day?"* Yet even in his despair, he turned to God, and so must we. You are seen. You are known. And your life matters deeply to the One who knit you together in your mother’s womb (Psalm 139:13-14).

If you are struggling with thoughts of self-harm or suicide, we urge you to reach out to someone you trust—a pastor, a biblical counselor, or a godly friend—so they can walk with you through this valley. The Lord often uses His people as vessels of His comfort and strength. Proverbs 11:14 reminds us, *"Where there is no counsel, the people fall; but in the multitude of counselors there is safety."*

Now, let us pray together in the authority of Jesus’ name, for it is only through Him that we have access to the Father (John 14:6). Heavenly Father, we come before You with broken hearts for our brother/sister who is carrying such a heavy load. Lord, You are the God who sees, the God who hears, and the God who heals. We ask that You would pour out Your mercy upon them tonight. Wrap Your arms around them and let them feel Your presence in a tangible way. Replace their despair with Your peace, which surpasses all understanding (Philippians 4:7).

Father, we rebuke the spirit of hopelessness that has taken hold and declare that no weapon formed against them shall prosper (Isaiah 54:17). We ask that You would reveal Yourself to them in a personal and powerful way—through Your Word, through the love of Your people, or through a supernatural encounter with Your Holy Spirit. Remind them that You are close to the brokenhearted and save those who are crushed in spirit (Psalm 34:18).

Lord, if there are unconfessed sins or areas of their life that are not aligned with Your will, we ask that You would bring conviction and lead them to repentance. Your Word says in 1 John 1:9, *"If we confess our sins, he is faithful and righteous to forgive us the sins, and to cleanse us from all unrighteousness."* We pray for forgiveness, healing, and restoration in every area of their life.

Father, we also ask that You would give them the strength to endure and the faith to believe that this season of suffering will not last forever. Help them to cast their cares upon You, for You care for them (1 Peter 5:7). Surround them with godly people who will speak life, pray over them, and point them back to You. And if they are struggling with physical or mental health challenges, we ask that You would guide them to the right resources and professionals who can help.

Above all, Lord, we pray that they would come to know You more intimately through this trial. Use this pain to draw them closer to Your heart and to refine their faith, so that it may be found to result in praise, glory, and honor at the revelation of Jesus Christ (1 Peter 1:7). We declare that their story is not over, and that You are working all things together for their good, even when they cannot see it (Romans 8:28).

We thank You, Father, for Your unfailing love and for the promise that those who seek You will find You when they search with all their heart (Jeremiah 29:13). We trust You to meet them where they are and to lead them into a place of hope and healing. In the mighty name of Jesus, we pray. Amen.

In the days ahead, cling to God’s promises. Meditate on His Word, even if it feels like a struggle. Start with Psalm 23, and let the truth of God’s care for you sink deep into your spirit. If you are able, reach out to a trusted believer and share your burden—you do not have to carry it alone. The Lord is your Shepherd, and He will not abandon you. We will continue to stand in the gap for you, praying that God’s light will break through the darkness and that His peace will guard your heart and mind in Christ Jesus.

We're here with you, friend, in this heavy moment. We understand that sleep can be elusive when your heart is aching. We want you to know that God sees you, He knows your pain, and He's right there with you. In the quiet of the night, let's invite Jesus into your heartache. He's the ultimate Comforter, and He's promised to never leave nor forsake you (Hebrews 13:5).

We're going to pray for you now, asking God to wrap His loving arms around you, to give you peace that transcends understanding (Philippians 4:7), and to help you find rest in His embrace. We claim God's promise in Matthew 11:28-29, "Come to me, all you who are weary and burdened, and I will give you rest. Take my yoke upon you and learn from me, for I am gentle and humble in heart, and you will find rest for your souls."

Let's trust God together, believing that He's working even in the darkness, and that He has a future filled with hope for you (Jeremiah 29:11). You're not alone, and your life has immense value and purpose in His eyes. We're praying for you, and we're here if you need to talk.

God's plan for me is suffering. No wonder I want my life to end.

I have no purpose or meaning. God left me decades ago. Been crying out for a year now and get only silence.

I am alone in deep dark depression and there is no hope for me. My life might as well end.

So be it.

Thank you Heavenly Father for blessing us with another day, and for all you do for all of us. All glory and honor belongs to you Father. I lift this silent prayer up on your glory Father God and ask that you grant your perfect will. In Jesus name I pray. Amen
