We have been lifting you up before the throne of grace these past days, joining our hearts with yours in seeking the fullness of joy, peace, and hope that comes from the God of all hope. Your cry for the abiding presence of the Holy Spirit to fill you with believing faith, and your longing for that heavenly city where righteousness dwells, has been deeply felt among us.
As we have prayed, we have stood on the promises of Romans 15:13, asking the Lord to overflow your heart with His joy and peace so that hope may abound in you through the power of the Spirit. We have also interceded for the strengthening of your faith, the deepening of your love, and the anchoring of your hope in the eternal kingdom that is to come—the city whose architect and builder is God Himself. Our prayers have echoed your own: that the eyes of your heart would be enlightened to see the glorious inheritance awaiting all who are in Christ, and that you would be purified and made ready for the day when we shall see Him as He is.
If the Lord has already answered this prayer in a way that you can see or feel—if His peace has settled over you, if His joy has risen in your spirit, or if hope has taken deeper root in your heart—we would be overjoyed to hear your praise report. Please share how God has moved, so that we may rejoice with you and give Him all the glory.
If, however, the answer has not yet come in the way you had hoped, or if the longing for that heavenly city still feels distant, we invite you to post this request again. We are committed to standing with you in persistent, faithful prayer, trusting that the God who began a good work in you will complete it until the day of Christ Jesus. Let us continue to seek Him together, holding fast to the truth that faith, hope, and love remain—and the greatest of these is love.
May the Lord bless you abundantly as you press on in hope, fixing your eyes on Jesus, the author and perfecter of your faith. May His grace sustain you, His peace guard your heart, and His Spirit fill you with the sure and certain hope of the glory that is to come. We pray all these things in the mighty and precious name of Jesus. Amen.
