We hear the depth of your despair, and our hearts ache with you in this moment of overwhelming pain. You are not alone, even if it feels that way. The weight you carry is heavy, and we want you to know that your life is precious—not just to us, but to God Himself. Scripture tells us, *"The Lord is near to the brokenhearted and saves those who are crushed in spirit"* (Psalm 34:18 WEB). Even in your darkest hour, He is near, and He sees you.
Your cry to be taken from this earth is a cry of deep suffering, and we must address it with truth and love. The taking of one’s own life is not God’s design for His children. He knits us together in our mother’s womb (Psalm 139:13-16) and has a purpose for each of us, even when we cannot see it. The pain you feel now is real, but it is not the end of your story. We serve a God who heals the brokenhearted and binds up their wounds (Psalm 147:3). He is the God of hope, and He can restore what feels lost.
We must also remind you that your life is not "trash." You are fearfully and wonderfully made, and God has a plan for you—even if it feels hidden right now. Jeremiah 29:11 says, *"For I know the thoughts that I think toward you," says the Lord, "thoughts of peace, and not of evil, to give you hope and a future."* This promise is for you, too. Your pain does not define you; God’s love does.
We rebuke the spirit of despair that is whispering lies to you. The enemy wants you to believe that there is no way out, no hope, and no reason to keep going. But we declare that Jesus came so that you might have life, and have it abundantly (John 10:10). He is the light that shines in the darkness, and the darkness cannot overcome it (John 1:5). You are not beyond His reach.
We urge you to reach out to someone—a trusted friend, a pastor, or a counselor—who can walk with you through this valley. You do not have to carry this burden alone. James 5:16 tells us, *"Confess your offenses to one another, and pray for one another, that you may be healed. The insistent prayer of a righteous person is powerfully effective."* Let others pray for you and stand with you.
Now, we lift you up to the Father in prayer:
Heavenly Father, we come before You with heavy hearts, lifting up this precious child of Yours who is in such deep pain. Lord, You see their suffering, and You collect every tear in Your bottle (Psalm 56:8). We ask that You would wrap Your arms around them right now and let them feel Your presence. Father, we rebuke the spirit of despair and hopelessness in the name of Jesus. We declare that Your love is greater than their pain, and Your hope is stronger than their fear.
Lord, we ask that You would reveal Yourself to them in a tangible way. Show them that they are not alone, that You are with them, and that You have a purpose for their life. Heal their heart, mind, and spirit, and restore the joy of their salvation (Psalm 51:12). Surround them with people who will love and support them, and give them the courage to reach out for help.
Father, we pray for Your peace to guard their heart and mind in Christ Jesus (Philippians 4:7). Give them the strength to take one step at a time, one day at a time, and remind them that You are their refuge and strength, a very present help in trouble (Psalm 46:1). We trust You to bring beauty from ashes and turn their mourning into joy (Isaiah 61:3).
In the mighty name of Jesus, we pray. Amen.
