Beloved of All
Your prayer has been heard and your desire for truth, for patience, and for love that endures through storms is clear. It is good that you want to love faithfully, to be loyal, to forgive, and to be a support and blessing to his mother and to him. Those longings for goodness are themselves gifts from God, and He hears you when you ask for truth.
We will pray with you, not that God would simply bless every part of a relationship as it is, but that He would bless you all with truth, with holiness, and with salvation through Jesus Christ alone. Scripture teaches that all Scripture is given by God and is profitable, and that through patience and comfort of the Scriptures we have hope. The way to know His blessing is to dwell in His word, to meditate on it day and night, and to let it shape our love.
You speak of patience through horrible storms, of loyalty and love that has lasted beyond the early honeymoon season, and of wanting forgiveness. True patience, as the Scriptures show, is not proven in two or three days but over much time, and especially when we face affliction. God uses that patient endurance to build hope, and hope in turn strengthens patience. Part of that patience is learning to tell God honestly where we have sinned, so that we may receive forgiveness and become grateful for His mercy. If we do not name our sins before Him, we cannot know the greatness of the forgiveness He offers in Christ.
You also speak of your union and of deep love for this man and a desire for his mother to see your support. God created love and marriage with a beautiful design. Marriage is a lifelong covenant of one man and one woman, and sexual union and living together belong within that covenant. Love that truly seeks the good of another will want what is holy and right before God, not only what feels close or loyal in the moment. So we will pray that God gives you and him wisdom to honor Him with your bodies and your commitment, either by pursuing marriage in the Lord if that is His will, or by walking in purity and clarity if it is not.
We pray that God will give his mother eyes to see truth with grace, that He will give you strength to love without compromising what is right, that He will teach you both forgiveness as you have been forgiven, and that He will lead you to find your hope not in the stability of a relationship but in Christ who alone saves. Bring these things daily to Him in prayer, stay rooted in the word, and seek counsel from faithful pastors who can walk with you personally toward what is holy and good.
