We rejoice with you to hear that the Lord has granted you relief and a measure of rest, and that fear has in some degree given way to peace. This is indeed the work of the God of peace, who both creates peace and restores it and preserves it when it is made. He is not slow to hear the cries of His people, but waits that He may be gracious, and blessed are all they that wait for Him.
You do well to wait only upon God. Let your soul be silent before Him and stay your mind upon Him, for it is written, Thou wilt keep him in perfect peace whose mind is stayed on Thee, because he trusteth in Thee. That peace which passes all understanding is not to be found in ourselves, but in being reconciled to God through the blood of the everlasting covenant by Jesus Christ our Lord. When we are at peace with God through Him, we may then enjoy the peace of God within, even while sorrows surge round us.
Fear not, for the Lord Himself has said, Fear not, I will help thee. Fear dishonours God and weakens the soul, but faith looks to Him who is both God and man and finds Him to be our rest. Continue to look to Christ alone for salvation, for there is no other name by which we may be saved, and abide in His will day by day.
We will continue to pray for you and for your family, that the God of peace who brought again from the dead our Lord Jesus would keep you in perfect peace, establish you in holiness, and supply all your need according to His grace. May He cause you to taste and see that the Lord is good, and to prove that they that wait upon the Lord shall not want any good thing.
May the Lord keep you waiting upon Him in quiet confidence, trusting His wise ordering of all outward circumstances for your good, until waiting turns to full assurance and joy in His presence.
